Yamaha bikes are getting efficient. Some MT15 owners themselves are claiming 55kmpl. My fzv1 barely gave 40kmpl

am fz3 owner, its good commuter,Lightest 150cc bike,41mm telescopic fork,Rear 150cc widdest tyre 140/60/R17,Refined engine,wide seat,good cushion,45KMPL MILEAGE,,But poor 282mm brakes,underpowered engine only 12ps of horsepower NOWDAYS 125cc bikes has 12ps of horsepower, Earlier Fzv1 has 15ps of horse power in back 2008,Chain sprocket,Brake pads,etc spare parts are very expensive as 250cc+ bike,poor headlight and tank panel issues

When you buy a Yamaha, you pay for its quality and long term reliability. People nowadays change motorcycles every few years, but there are also a lot of people who want to use their motorcycles for at least 1.5 lakh kilometers. Taking power and torque into account as the only metrics to judge a motorcycle's price is probably not the right thing to do. As influencers, it is expected that you will instill some sense in the minds of viewers and new buyers and not speak like novices yourselves. Remember that you have a huge audience over a variety of age groups and not just youngsters, so please try to address the requirements of 50 year olds along with 25 year olds. Sorry if I offended you, but no hard feelings please!
I doubt on the tested fuel efficiency figures. My Bajaj Platina even on a light throttle fails to give 70 kmpl in city.
In city its quite difficult to get 70kmpl for me in v3 because start stop ride... In rural area I'm reaching 65kmpl ... Normally I'll get 55 to 60kmpl all the time... This improved after 2k odo reading.
Having owned the first lot of FZ's , i am yearning to see Yamaha put a better bigger liquid cooled engine in this chassis !
there's no need. i own this bike and it does well with air cooling. liquid cooled engines are only for sports bike with are usually more then 200cc or maybe exceptional bikes like r15 and mt15 with VVA

It doesn't require liquid cooling..the Fz engine is ultra refined and smooth. Which is the highlight of this Japanese Punchy machine

@@aron69420 liquid cooling is not related to higher cc or sports bike. Its related to how much the engine revs and also on compression ratio. Higher the ratio, its better to use liquid cooling to extract more performance at optimum temperature. You can see some cruisers having more than 500 cc yet having simple air cooled engines because they have long stroke nature meaning more power and torque delivery at lesser rpms meaning no sense to rev the engine. As simple as that. Hope this helps you buddy.😃☺

It makes sense. When fz was launched it had poor mileage and people complained so they reduced the power
More heavier, more torque, horsepower and more cc Apache rtr160 4v and n160 gives same mileage and better performance

Traction control is for guys who use it on highway. They will use it during raining season or guys who lives in hilly region.

70kmpl. Ok you said it, we heard it. I am an owner of platina 100 old gen model and I get a mileage somewhere between 70 to 75kmpl in the city under mixed riding condition.

I am fzs v4 owner, now my bike shows mileage 61 KmL but manual calculation is giving 52kmL only so not treat instrumental console mileage. ( my bike new one only 1000 km running)

Yes i have adjusted. But i am maintaining correct air pressure on tyre as per manual (29/31) nitrogen. Now is ok but not super.
Ya it will give 70 km per litre mileage if your weaight is 40 kg and your top speed is 30 on 5 th gear

i own this bike, i keep track of everyday milage on y connect. i only get 50+ milage if i drive like uncles. if i try to rev it a bit higer i can get as low as 42-43

Which is better between FZ S and FZ X? My height is about 5.7-5.8.. my main purpose is daily commuting on City roads that are mostly bad roads, hence need a soft suspension which can help in my back pain

@@chandanbhat91 FZ and most other bikes have rear-set foot pegs. The bend in the knee gave me pains. Unicorn has standard foot pegs. Nothing wrong with uncles. Rahul Gandhi and Amit Shah are both Uncle heros for whichever side of politics you are on.

1) Suspense setup is on the stif side not soft.
2) Mileage on city is 45-50 and on the highway you can get 50+ if you are riding below 80km.
3) Headlight is not up to mark.

My fz v4 gives 50-55 kmpl based on riding style.
Adv :
Mileage 50-55 kmpl, 45 is the worst I got on hills.
Upright seating position.
Good handling and breaks.
Japanese reliability.
Cons
Seat is hard, there is hardly any foam at all, everyone say it's extremely comfortable but don't fall for that (I purchased due to comfort factor but now regretting it)
Mud splash all over bike, forget about taking bike to office rainy days.
It's 150 cc bike but most 125 cc bikes can kick it's behind.(Max top speed 95, crusing speed 65-75 kmph)
Can't take it to hills bike losses steam soon and u will feel the lack of power.
Cheap plastics used.

Yamaha fzs v3 was synonymous with bad plastic quality especially in the fuel tank region. Then it also misses out on hinged fuel tank lid 😂 even in v4 .
Heck it even gets no gear position indicator in the LCD instrument console which was slapped onto it from MT-15. Glaring omissions in a bike which costs Rs 1.28 lakhs ex showroom .
You guys have conveniently left out the obvious points to dicuss in the review. This is the most shameless fake fzs v4 review even by sponsored content standards.
