Harley oil change funnels should always be fashioned from old beer cans. They become family heirlooms . :)

Man...your the only one on here that shows the Harley replacement dipstick with the temp gauge like I have. I never noticed the mark up near the gauge but kept mine in the middle. I did notice that with my 95' 1200 Sporty I run it just slightly below full. It really helps oil blow back and still has a safe amount of oil. At least on my 95' it really made a huge difference with the oil blow back. Good vid bro! Happy Riding. \,,/

Muito legal a ideia de usar papel alumínio pra não sujar tudo! O saca filtro eu não tinha visto ainda... Abraço brother!

help please! my sportster has an oil radiator and I couldn't change more than a litter of oil should I disconnect the oil radiator? or whats wrong? to be honest I did it with the bike cold

You should always change your oil with the bike warm. Make sure you pull your oil drain line and let the oil drain out. Then with the drain plug still removed run the bike for 15-30 seconds and let some more oil run out. Do that 2 or 3 times, or until you don't see oil coming out anymore. Your oil cooler should not effect the oil change very much, but often times when you have an oil cooler you need a little extra oil. Also make sure you remove your oil fill cap on the top of the oil bag to let the oil flow more easily. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

For a new rider changing the oil at home what's a good container and way of environmentally friendly disposing of the oil old oil?

We always use milk jugs or other heavy plastic bottles with screw on lids. To dispose of it most cities have a drop off place for oil. Or check with your local auto parts store like Auto zone, or Napa. They will usually dispose of the oil for you.

Nice, thanks. How often should this be done? How do you test to see if it's needed?

We like to change the oil before and after any big ride just to be safe. If its your daily commuter you can get away with changing it every 3,000-5,000 miles. Check the oil regularly and if it's black its time for a change. Or check your manual out for more specific info.
