    Who’s complaining your videos are too long?! I’m always gutted when they have to end!

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had a few. I've always ignored them. I think I have a good grasp of a reasonable length. They won't get much longer than this though as it takes too long to edit etc and can be easily split instead!

    This will be awesome!
    I'm pretty sure the poor guy in the x-ray machine was part of the stag party and was crushed by a car because of the missing fences 😉
    One thing I would change is the red sticker on the front. It should be next to the entrance.
    Great work so far.

    Great ideas Robin. American hospitals don’t usually have garages for ambulances. Fire stations and rescue stations usually have garages for the ambulances. In the U.S., and I’m sure other countries, ambulances usually drive under a protective area that is open, like a “carport”.
    It looks great, but I would think you would extend the building out a couple of studs to get more interior room. A lot of your space is being taken up by the “outside” and you already have a sidewalk area. Looks great overall. Excellent inspiration!

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The garage isn't realistic but it's kinda LEGO accurate. Two studs won't help the inside much at all but may make the outside look nicer is my thinking!

    Adding some more floors is definitely what that set needed. That’s what I like about the newer hospital set compared to this older one. Also the helicopter doesn’t look too big compared to the building anymore.
    Nicely done build so far.

    @TRLAuthor 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It's funny, I got this set when it came out to by my hospital, and I always wanted to buy a second one to double it up, but never got around to doing it. Now I don't have to! Only things I can think to add to this is someone checking in at reception with an obvious ailment, and maybe a janitor, because there always seems to be a janitor cleaning something whenever I go to a hospital. Great stuff as always, Robin.

    I really am glad you popped out this hospital moc right away so Mr. Daredevil has a place to get his bones X-rayed after a nasty wipeout. Having that slice of a hospital is great so you know they get their health checkups but does not eat up all that space. That part from the star wars set is perfect for a hospital but now there will be a run on them in bricklink. it's great they have matching PJ and not open-backed robes. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. As always thank you for sharing your video and the look at the LDD process to create the beginning of your idea.

    Nice amendments on the bus! As for the hospital it is a great use and modification of the original building. The foreshadowing (seeing old brickhaul pieces being put to use), planning and creative thinking is as its best as usual. I really like its positioning that takes advance of the standing hole and the set being open-back for maximum visibility.
    As an early suggestion, I think that now that the building is 4 floors-high the two lights on the helipad ledge could be moved on the underside of the first floor ledge as they are supposed to lit up the garage ramp.

    Hi Robin, Great job so far!
    @13:28, haha, somebody’s a little full of himself, mr. planner 😂😉👍🏼
    I really like the most recent hospital for it’s sort of modern look, with the darker tan windows coming out quite good and square lines. But it’s nice to see how you made use of that older base and turn it into a very nice hospital! Love the signpost in front of the building. That foliage adds to the build and makes it less of a stand alone Lego building as hospitals and police stations usually are in Lego.
    Wow, that use of the parts for the MRI scanner truly is beautiful. Everytime, just like your use of the junior sets panelpieces on FFC, you have the talent to really bring the best of some parts that I first almost hated. Well done my friend!
    Also the build of some of the equipment and use of stickerpieces again is very nicely done. 👍🏼

    I love the vines up the side! It gives it a nice texture. I personally think the windows on the floors above the garage should be in line with each other, but that’s nitpicking. HiHo Robin
    A hospital in Brick Nottingham, brilliant!
    I really like what you’ve done so far. Very clean design and not over fussy! I really like the use if big “glass” panels. Using them brings a lot of light into the build, plus it allows us to see the interior much clearer!
    My brother was a Senior Registrar at the Queens Medical Centre and before that I believe he was at the General, now closed! If you build a maternity unit, it would be a great honour to have my brother in Minifigure form working away. He wears glasses and has blond hair! He’s now a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Not bad for a working class boy from Lambeth!

    Looking good, Robin! One thing occurs though - with the depth of the pavements outside and the space where the bench is, you would have plenty of room to increase the depth of the building to have more room in the wards etc...

    • @RobinHoodBricks

    Wow Robin, what an amazing job so far! I love the design of the hospital. You found some really awesome printed pieces that I need for my hospital build. I have this original set also and i really like the use of the 8x16 tile piece so the ambulance can go from the garage to the street easily. One thing I would consider is instead of tiling the whole front area, maybe make the area where the bench is at put in some green plates layer there for grass. I think it would add some more color. Some hospitals in the US pride themselves on their landscaping curb appeal. So maybe even a few flowers growing in the ivy may look good to. I really like the design of the MRI/XRAY machine. Having the stretcher piece slide out is really cool. Maybe add a pop machine or dispenser in the waiting/reception area? I was going to also say you could use the clumsy guy minifigure but I know you have him falling down the stairs at one of the tram stops. I do like the amendments to your bus MOC, it looks really cool. I was going to ask you are there LXF files that you can download for these official sets when you show them in LDD or do you build them from scratch using instructions? Great video my friend! I really love the progress so far and I can't wait to see more!

    I really dig the idea of facade builds next to the standing hole, it just makes perfect sense with the whole guillotine cutout thing. One suggestion is to re/move one of the blue chairs so minifigs can walk deeper in to the rest of the hospital on the gound floor.

Also mabey put the seats in the reception one block up, that will look cool. I love the hospital though and I think it will look great in your city.

I've broken more bones than Evel Knievel & that's not been very fun at most of the times LOL. Anyway, to my point, I will watch & give you any ideas I think you should have. Definitely need an orthopedic surgeon section or Evel & myself (guy on beach with rocket) will have to frequent other brick city's hospitals...possibly even be transported to New Jang City Hospital 😱😱😱😜.

    I wasn't fond of that particular hospital model compared to 60204, and my own moc ended up being a larger modular. But, so far I do like what you've done in the confines of the space you're using Robin. Awesome idea for the MRI. I built a custom CT scanner for mine with a similar play feature. Similar to the newest set I did include a maternity ward, and will be curious to see what else you include! 😊

    Wonderful start, as usual Robin.
    I went for a full MOC version for my hospital.....problem is, I also have; wards, X-ray department, an ER and an operation theatre......but you can’t really see all the details without removing the sections individually.......!
    I guess that’s my one complaint with full MOC’s.....you really have no idea what’s in there, without taking them apart.
    Like your wonderful Fast Food Corner.....if we hadn’t seen you build it, we would have no idea about all the amazing features that you designed inside.
