Jamie gives such bad takes in this one. Rodri has one of the highest pass success rates year in year out in the prem. Also, playing CDM for City is one of the hardest things to do as the responsibility and expectation weigh heavier than in any other team.
“you fucking helmet”

Rodri is becoming like Busquets. Highly underrated.

WTF is wrong with him looks shattered at the end of his tether!... and Matip nothing without VVD?... member that season he was without Virg?... like he's never watched him
Richards reaction to Redknapp saying Phillips is a better passer than Rodri was priceless
That Philips call was wild but holy fuck Matip better than Dias is one of the craziest calls I’ve heard in years. Absolutely insanity.
“He’d look good next to Van Dijk”
points to Romesh 😂😂😂
Rodri has to be the most underrated midfielder itw it’s actually insane he’s been world class for this long now and gets compared to Kalvin Phillips
Gundogan wasn’t even mentioned. Two most underrated players in world football
Thats what makes he so good. Doesn't want any lime light. No social media. World class professional.
I thought it was common knowledge hes the best cdm in the world
completely agreed mate. jamie needs to watch th-cam.com/video/bPaNwSGjvzY/w-d-xo.html from 7:10 - 8:20 and then comment about Rodri's passing ability instead of spewing dogshit.
Just his passing. Rodri is better all round but Philips is clear on passing
18:25 this is exactly what bernado silva was saying. The media obsession with Liverpool is hilarious
They are one of the two biggest clubs in England, let alone the world. No one gives a fuck about a human rights disaster club.
Everyone always hoping the underdog to win
Thiago is far more consistently better than Bernardo i think. You take Bernardo out, nothing changes, take thiago out, Liverpool will struggle
You can’t financially dope yourself to overnight success and expect the same affection that a team who doesn’t gets. That’s why nobody but City fans care about their trophies.
As if you’ve just used Bernardo silva crying to back a point
Who on earth would pick Matip over Dias 😂😂😂
I would pick Konate above both
The audacity to say on camera in front of millions Phillips is a better passer that Rodri is crazy

Putting Thiago Alcantara ahead of Bernardo Silva who's a engine that can do it all, dribble in tight spaces, run for 90 minutes without ever stopping, passing the ball, tracking behind, STAYING INJURY FREE, score etc is brutal..
And let's not talk about playing Robertson ahead of Joao Cancelo who was clearly the best full back in the world last season. Its honestly so f*cking funny to see more liverpool players make a combined starting XI but they only managed to win the league once in 5 seasons :)
Another very biased comment from you.
Does cancelo defend better then Robertson?
Does cancelo contribute to more goals via assists and goals?
@@NLGNATHAN Lmfao make sure you type another 5 replies back to back to try and convince someone you're right, Cancelo's miles ahead of Robertson, if we had a number 9 last season instead of Sterling who needs 15 chances in front of goal to convert just one Cancelo would be on 20+ G/A contribution easily. Your "Goat" Robertson literally got subbed out for TSIMIKAS last night, that shows you how good he's actually been for the past 6 months.

I LOVE hearing passionate football debates and I don't even watch football 😂
19:46 HOW can a professional pundit make such a ludicrous statement?!?
I mean you don't have to analyse games to see through the insanity of what he said. Cruyff and Guardiola have been pretty vocal about the importance of the holding midfielder. It is literally the most important position in Pep's system.
Truly bonkers.
The way Jamie calls what rodri does as "basic stuff" just shows how underrated rodri and busquets are.
And John obi mikel
Since when was Redknapp so bitter?!?!?
9:44 - Redknapp losing the plot at that line from Romesh. Resorts to the 12 year old ‘your mum’ shout. He’s falling apart 😆

The way this video has aged after 2 years. Micah is bang on nearly everywhere and Jamie looks even worse 😂
In my opinion, For a 2022 Liverpool X Man City team I would put:
•Cancelo over Robertson
•Dias over foden
In a team like this I would pick Trent because they would spend most their time attacking but on a team when it is mostly 50/50 Walker is getting in 100% of the time and for people going to start crying he had Vinny in his back pocket after coming back from injury
What's funny is Walker was actually unfit in the second leg, pep risked playing Kyle cause dude was still injured
And he still had Vinny packed inside his pocket
Shame when he got subbed off we got punished

Thiago Rodri KDB

It is a bit early with Haaland but based on his time and Dortmund and his first 3 performances I have no doubt he'll be better than Jota and Nunez
Thiago over bernardo lolll
Phillips has more “clubs in his golf bag” but Rodri’s passing shouldn’t be understated
Does Jamie actually ever watch football. I though Micah had poor football knowledge but god Jamie has outdone him
FYI, as it stands, Kalvin Phillips' pass completion % is at 83.6%. Rodri on the other hand....92%
Redknapp has no clue what he’s talking about. Does he even watch games? I had the same exact, bursting in laughter, reaction as Micah when I heard him say that. What a clown😂
This is the best video to come out of sports bible get Romesh on more 😂
Rednap takes on Rodri shows you how really underrated Rodri is.
Arrived here a few days after Rodri's Ballon D'Or. Jamie's chat on him has aged horrendously after the last two years. 😂
There isn’t a single thing in football that Phillips does better than Rodri.
Haaland doesn’t have to be proven in the prem to be good….. next sentence coming out of Micah’s mouth…. Diaz has only done it for 6 months zzzzzzzzzz
Use context. The other option for striker is nunez who hasn’t done it either. Plus diaz hasn’t scored 86 goals in 89 games and ripped it up in the champions league has he. Use your brain
@@Hakwbebsu26 why you comparing Diaz to Harland when it’s about foden and Diaz 🤣use your brain
He means haaland doesnt have to have done it in the prem but he has done it for a long time and he means Diaz has only done it for 6 months in general
What is up with Jamie Redknapp recently? He's been losing it with everyone
He has more periods than his missus.
My knowledge of football goes as far as putting the ball in the goal, but this was entertaining to watch.
Absolute MADNESS !! That there's an argument about Cancelo he's probably the best in the world
Rodri has won the treble and involved in a Euros winning campaign for Spain. Phillips is ah playing for who now aha? Ipswich yeah......
Redknapp acting like a weirdo this whole video. Like he came from a bust up with his missus

Allison
Trent, Van Dijk, Dias, Cancello
De Brune, Rodri, Bernardo Silva
Salah, Haaland, Foden
So 7-4 to Man City

@@bigmulli4541 I respect yours also, but in a defensive midfield position Fabinho is much better defensively, backed up by the fact he is also great at CB, something I absolutely do not think Rodri could do, they both score the occasional screamer, and Rodri’s short passing is better while I’d say Fabinho’s long passing is better. I feel as if Rodri is more suited to the Man City team who dominate the game and don’t need a proper defensive midfielder, just a pivot man to build the play off of, while in a high pace team like Liverpool’s, or even a worse team than those two, he’d be exposed.
@@nathaningram3382 I think we can both agree that Phillips comes nowhere near Rodri though right…

Don't usually comment, but man... this is just shocking!
I get it's mostly banter and even though I disagree with the Phillips > Rodri passing statement, it's all in good fun. Fellow countryman and all.
However 19:46 rolled around and Redknapp said something utterly shocking and left me in utter disbelief. How can a professional pundit make such a ludicrous statement?!? I mean you don't have to analyse games to see through the insanity of what he said. Cruyff and Guardiola have been pretty vocal about the importance of the holding midfielder. It is literally the most important position in Pep's system. He himself played the position as a player and has been thoroughly descriptive as to how much a CDM influences the flow, the interpretation of the movement both defensively and offensively.
I'm paraphrasing here, but it's been said in interviews that if his CDM does his job perfectly, you barely hear his name, but makes the whole thing tick. I get why the position is so overlooked by the average viewer, it's basically the "dirty work," but to be an actual pundit and have such abysmal knowledge on literally the most influential footballing system of this decade... just absurd and totally laughable.
And to further my argument, just look at what happened to Bielsa's Leeds once his CDM in Kalvin got injured and missed most of the season.
It's like saying every RB can fill in Trent's shoes by just "spamming" crosses.
Truly bonkers.
it's funny how the players from team that has won 80% 4 of 5 of the past 5 EPL seasons aren't as good as those that have won 1 out of 5??
