Hi Jen! Awesome, I'll be sure to send you the link as soon as the free 1L Masterclass goes live in June 2023! In the meantime, I also run a free FB group for law students and prelaw students looking for clarity and support in their law school journey, would you like the link to join?

I’m only 16 and I’ve just quit basketball because I’m very short and instead considered becoming a corp lawyer. But I really want to get a full ride, so I’m focused on my grade right now.

Good question! You can start with youtube videos, and I would also recommend following @careercontessa on Instagram.

Hello. Been Binge watching your videos. Question for you! So I am eight years removed from physical therapy school. My first four years of undergrad I had a 2.77 GPA. Spent two more years in undergrad to fix my grades and got a 3.9 over those two years before finally going to PT school and getting a 3.8 during those three years of grad school.
since I have four years of terrible undergrad grades, is it impossible to get a full ride to a T14 even if I were to get a stellar LSAT since they focus on undergrad grades? I know getting into T14 isn’t everything but I want to keep my options open as I don’t know what speciality I want to go into. I am fixated on getting a full ride because I still have six figures of student loans from PT school (got it down from 210 K to 140 K on a terrible salary in Maryland, but that’s when I was single and it’s just not easy with a spouse and step-kid). I also know that sometimes it’s fine going to the best school in geographical location, but I’m not really sure where I want to live in the future. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Not sure if you got your answer but I have a couple of Thoughts…
      1. What was your final undergrad gpa when you graduated? That’s what’s gonna count. Your grad school grades don’t matter at all.
      2. If you break 170, or better still 175, you can be a splitter.
      3. Might have to compromise on the school rank for $$$.
      4. It would be wise to know exactly where you wanna be and what area you’re interested in because your first semester/first year Law school grades will determine your location & job options.
All in all .. do your research and make sure the financial aspect of it makes sense because the majority of lawyers don’t make a lot of $. Toooo many lawyers are in mounds of debt and make average $.
Don’t be afraid to dig if scholarships outside of what the school is offering of course.
      Good luck 😊.

Hi Eyewuene! I honestly don't know how your status as an international student or foreign-trained lawyers affects your eligibility for certain law school scholarships (if at all).

It was a law school scholarship with the Sumners Foundation.
