Hey Dean Z, There's an online community of military service members that have started a large group discord to support one another. One thing that we've indentified as a source of difficulty for us is translating our military experience over to a resume. Most schools don't provide us with too many resources on how they want Service Members to discuss our professional experience and education. Would you be able to lend some insight to this topic?
I understand why law schools are pushing back. But in my opinion overall this is harming students and employers but students the most. There should be more regulation where all the law schools come together and publish data they all agree on to help students understand each school. I know some sites do compare stats of employment and pay but when considering a law school that’s not all you want and schools publish heavily biased information. Every school shouts out what they are best at but that does not help incoming students compare schools. Because even if they have a favorite an objective student should consider other possibilities. To make a well informed decision that will affect their career. So again I know there is beef but not having US news rankings does make it a bit more of a challenge when picking schools.
I always look forward to your videos Dean Z, as an international LL.M. Applicant for Fall 2025 it’s been hugely insightful, I would appreciate any further insight into tips for international students‘ applications, nonetheless my application materials are making decent progress !! 💙💙
I love the fact that Dean Z uses the word beef in a sentence...had to rewind this part😂....I love Dean Z and her wealth of knowledge.
Loved to see UMichigan's holistic approach to admissions 16:13

I bet you've been hearing about sign-stealing sanctions there at Michigan. Great choice of examples!

Listen don’t tell them I said this but genuinely this school is the opposite of WashU in terms of admissions lmao
