Fun fact! The man who invented pringles was cremated and his family argued over whether his ashes should be put in an original can or a sour cream and chives can. They chose original.
Not sure if you knew this already - but In China the date stamp on food is usually the production date, not the expiry date! When I went in 2018 I thought everything I bought was out of date until I realise they don't have to put on the expiry as much as we do! Possible that this is the same for other Asian countries' products as well but not sure on those.
There's also a huge difference between "expiry" and "best before" ... Pringles tend to have a best before because they're packed with preservatives and sealed properly.
The endurance that Matthew has to edit everything James asks of him is commendable at the very least. Especially... fingering party rings... poor Matthew.
I don’t want this series to end. I have some suggestions (which you can obviously choose not to do!) • Pot noodles • Biscuits • Cheese (just an excuse to have a cheeseboard really) • Greggs items
The insecure men in the comments sharing their bad opinions about james' outfit. James is looking FINEEEE. As someone attracted to masc presenting people the way he is dressing lately is soooo attractive. Calling jimbo gay for wearing a button up and black trousers is insane, i cant imagine the fits these babies are wearing if his normal as outfit is offending them.

Tip about dates on food Display until - for supermarket staff. Fruit and veg might not look as good on display after this date, but is perfectly fit to be sold and to eat days after Best before (BBE) - purely advisory. It's safe to eat months, even years after the date, but might not look or taste its best. Tinned meat found in WW1 battlefields half a century after the Armistice was opened and found to be perfectly edible and in good condition. Pringles won't last 50 years, but a couple of months won't make a difference. Use by - there's a safety margin of 2-10 days after the "use by" date, varying according to the product. Yogurt is OK ten days after the date, but other foods might be potentially lethal after 2-3 days. Looks and smell are vital. I've recently moved, and took some tins of soup with me that were 2 years out of date. Looked and tasted fine, and no ill effects
This is why the world has a problem with throwing away food, because lots of people don't know the difference between these things. Honestly, my first red flag with a person is "oh no it's out of date". Well, does it look out of date? Does it smell out of date? Does it TASTE out of date? Just eat the thing, if it doesn't taste right then spit it out and don't swallow it lol.
@@Deja117 while I definitely am liberal with dates sometimes, I will never blame someone for being overly cautious. I've given myself food poisoning twice in the last 2 years and i have NO idea what caused it either time. The first time i literally passed out naked in a pool of my own vomit on my bathroom floor. I wouldnt wish it on anyone, and now if something is even a couple hours past it's use by, it immediately goes. If its something other than like, crisps or biscuits, and its a few weeks to a month past its bbe, it goes. I cant tell if food is bad unless its OBVIOUSLY bad, so i dont take the risk anymore. Not worth potentially dying because i thought my expired-last-week yoghurt or expired-last-month tin of spaghetti or whatever was still okay
4:56 paprika can actually lose it's taste if not new! if it doesn't smell like anything, it wont taste and is therefore probably time for new paprika as it can do that after only a few months :)
This is absolutely correct! And surprisingly not well known, If your paprika is brown and has no scent then it's dead, paprika has a strong smokey scent and should be a vibrant red. It definitely has a taste one of which I personally love :) paprika isn't one of those spices that can be kept on the shelf for years unfortunately
i saw your videos a few years ago and now i got to see this video because i found it by random and i found it interesting. you changed a lot, you are literally different person and you look like you have personality now. thanks for video, blessings xo
as someone who loves Pringles, international snacks AND limited edition stuff - i'm currently eating the Minecraft TNT Pringles. this video was a lot of fun.
hear me out, i feel like james should do some sort of aussie food taste testing. things like fairy bread, vegemite, timtams, meatpies, lamington, pavlova, anzac biscuits, milo, golden gaytimes, damper, sour patch kids, etc etc
@@evenona_hariday Dampa would be hard to taste test since all Blakfullas do it a bit differently with their own recipe. For example I add red wattle seeds. Also, if he tried Dampa and didn't like it, I dunno if I could keep watching tbh, it's a cultural thing so naturally sensitive about it. I would like if he did all the other Aussie food you suggested especially Milo and Vegemite WITH THE RIGHT EXECUTION.
I have a problem with Pringles, specifically the original ones, where once I eat one I have to eat the whole can... let's just say I'm not allowed to get Pringles a lot.
Canadian British girlie here, all dressed chips are ketchup, barbecue, sour cream and onion, and salt and pepper flavoured, hence the all dressed name. Ruffles are so much better than the pringles flavour tho.
I've always perceived all dressed to be sort of like a combo between salt+vinegar and barbecue! With some tomatoey notes too. I feel like I see a lot of all dressed packaging include a picture of a vinegar bottle. And yes, the ruffles version is waaaaay better
Boiled peanuts! In Florida we can buy them in a can, or get them at any gas station, sometimes a roadside stand! They're one of my absolute favorite snacks.
You can safely eat crisps a few months out of date. The concern would be valid for stuff like meat, that has a ton of bacteria in it. Crisps on the other hand, are literally coated with preservatives then vacuum sealed to sit on a shelf for months at a time. They're fine mate, just eat the things if they aren't stale yet.
You should try either Japanese snacks or Dutch - would also recommend trying carte dor chocolate- better than Cadburys and galaxy etc. (which tbh isn’t hard to bear nowadays) 😂
sometimes i think the snacks at my store are expired, but actually because they come from other countries, the dates are written differently than the USA.. so it's always good to check how they write the date in the country you got a food item for but if you buy from an international website, they will usually slap a translated sticker on the packaging so you can have all the english nutritional value and know the date of the food as well
