    Looks beautiful but my only recommendation is to start with a VERY light coat at first and continue to do small coats until you build up to full color. Should help your paint running issue!

      Trenton Sauve I’m about to do this to my controller how long do I wait for clear coat.

    • @T2Games
      @T2Games  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mcox4417 I would wait at least a day for the paint to dry completely before applying any clear coat. Good luck, let me know how it turns out!

      T2 Games have you ever painted the button or joystick? If so how did you do it

    • @T2Games
      @T2Games  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mcox4417 I have not done either but I would recommend sanding the buttons beforehand as with the controller shell. As for the joysticks they would be tricky as they are rubberized, personally I would not paint them just because of that.

    140 then 150 sandpaper. How many coats? One for the color and then one for clear? Just curious because I plan on doing this too.

    • @deepfriedcheesecake5976
      @deepfriedcheesecake5976 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you should do many thin coats to get an opaque controller. Im not sure how many coats of clear but one to two should be fine

      You'll be fine as long as you take precautions such as avoiding static electricity (don't wear socks and work on carpet, for example) as well as making sure to be gentle with the components and don't force anything open. Good luck!

  • @SasamiRari

    i just wanna know where the stencil was from or what was used to make it. Like, what is the process for spraying the stencil? Taping everything around it? like i dont get it all.

    • @T2Games
      @T2Games  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I printed out the logo on a piece of paper in the size i wanted, the cut it out and used double sided tape to stick it to the controller. Then you can spray over it with the color you want the logo to be and remove it.

    • @SasamiRari
      @SasamiRari 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the texture of the controller feel different after you spray painted it?

    • @T2Games
      @T2Games  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey! Sorry for the late reply. It feels more rough for sure, I would recommend using a sandpaper with more than 200 grit before painting. Since the grips can still be swapped for the originals and the painted ones don't feel too much worse, the texture really isn't an issue for me/doesn't bother me. Hope this answered your question!

    This is more of a disassembly/reassembly video. You hardly spent any time covering the painting process. Anyway, have you considered doing the grips in Deep Blue or Brilliant Blue? Those colors are both gloss but you have the matte clear coat. I think the Mega Man color scheme would look pretty cool.

    I know a way easier way, get a PDP face off deluxe+ controller. You can literally take off the whole face and if you want you can customize it like that then put the face back on. But this is just my opinion.

      Defeats the purpose of painting a controller. Painting a controller is much more controllable than searching one up on amazon.
