The first video I ever watched from you was the old octaves video with this piece being used as a demonstration. Nice to see the full piece getting a pro practice
This was so helpful as always Josh, I’ll have to purchase the whole tutorial as soon as I pick this piece up. Are there any etudes that you would suggest knowing before attempting this scherzo?
The Op.25 No.10 would certainly be good training grounds for the octaves, but each of the Etudes has unique challenges that will help you develop holistically as a pianist, so I think you’d benefit from playing any of them
Hi Mr. Josh, do you think it is possible to get this piece competition-worthy in a span of 4 months? This is my reality at the moment and I really need your advice 😭
@@lordgothajix527 haha just like me , ive been playin the piano for a year now and im about to play in my first competition where im gonna perform 25 10 and 11 and i looked at the scherzo for a brief moment today and realized how much easier it is with those 2 chopin techniques mastered
This video is so so helpful. If you’ve ever played it, I would also LOVE to see a tutorial on Chopin’s Impromptu Op. 51 No. 3
Oh wow! I remember asking for this a while ago, very happy to see it!

Hey Josh, Could you please do a tutorial on Chopin's Polonaise Fantasy? Many thanks.
I appreciate your effort in providing this content, but I would like to give us a detailed explanation of how Franz Liszt played hungerien no 2
Can you do a tutorial on Hungarian rhapsody no. 6:)
I will consider it :)
@@joshwrightpiano +1!!
Should beginner pianst stay away from this piece?
Most definitely, master separate skills with etudes first, I did 25/10 for the octaves and 25/11 for the runs
