Nijisanji really locked the subreddit and deleted almost every post except for EN birthdays. They also nuked topics about their JP livers.
It is crazy how they did that
Nijisisters don't want Newstubers, Japanese speakers, and the curious finding about how rotten the main JP branch is. We already see that side of Nijisanji reccommend a harmful cocktail to fans, who are mostly under the age of 18 much less 20.

The botting guide is literally what kpop stans use to increase views for their MV's. Pretty common thing IMO but its just sad knowing that its from NIJI and they know they HAVE to do it
Its so sad. These are normal basic stuff and yet Michi is so amazed by it. It really shows how toxic the workplace is. It also brings questions regarding the current livers there. Knowing the nature of an abusive relationship, I imagine they must be coping hard right now.

I knew Michi would do well in Vshojo, I knew that everyone would love her when I first heard about her joining. She's genuinely funny, sweet and a great person to watch, plus she's a wild gal and I knew Vshojo fans would eat that up. I'm so happy that she is doing well :DDD

I can't see how AnyKuro is going to hide/downplay the HUGE merch/collaboration losses that happened only because they terminated Selen like they did. If they don't get into legal trouble for misrepresenting it when the time comes (I assume this because there's not a chance in hell Kurosanji will admit to losing big partnerships over one individual they called "negligible") I will be so angry.
plain and simple investors have Cover's Q4 report to compare to niji's not only did cover achieve increase in their profitability but they also did so spending more money than before. not only is cover getting more attention per talent, around one third of their talents have 1 million or more subscribers. and even merch sales are doing amazing. this in ADDITION to nijisanji failing to meet expected growth margins with EN and actually seeing a significant decrease in profits on the en branch in their Q3 report. and now we have the Q4 report showing the "negligable" impact selen's termination really had on their finantials. its going to be almost impossible for niji to wiggle themselves out of this.

I wouldnt be surprised if the niji EN livers, or the management at the very least, know about the view botting and actively encourage it.
Their CCVs have been dragging for weeks. Reimu was streaming OG FF7 about a week ago and couldn't even get 400 viewers. Granted, time of streaming *is* a big factor in CCV, but still.

My question is more about Asian companies as a whole, not just Vtuber companies.
I ask this because Michi had said that she had worked in a number of companies before landing on Niji. I know she hadn't had great mental health (she had said as much), but I wonder: Did she develop that "surviving" mentality throughout her life and it happened to blow up while in Niji, or it was mostly in Niji that the "surviving" mentality developed?
Because if it's the former, then that paints Asian work culture as even worse than I imagined (even counting death by overwork and suicide, not to mention the state of the anime/manga industry). If it's the latter... then how the fuck did Niji EN existed for so long?
I realize that my question is not an easy one, so I guess it's likely it won't be answered. Thanks to whoever read this.
Some does it and some don't, Silver Queen is one example I can think out of my mind of an Indonesian company that humanize their employees, a reputation they have maintained for 74 years.
But a good amount of them also have a reputation for being cheap. ID work culture is that they have a ridiculous requirement list, up to the point of it being discriminative, especially on the age factor. If they already demand that much just for people to join, just imagine how much more they'll be expecting out of you once you made it in. ID companies generally don't overwork their employees with overtime, but they usually will assign them to multiple fronts based on the employee's skills, like... it's pretty much considered normal here to be hired as a technician, but then also expected to be a gardener after getting the job
Kurosanji's main content now is more on drama, graduation and Ls lots and lots of Ls. It overshadow any effort their talents make to entertain their shrinking supporters
Actually, i am waiting for graduation news from any member of kurosanji. Especially the remaining ex ID members. They deserve a better place.

@@SalviVtuber If you mean character design, not exactly. The talents do their own design, if they need a hookup for art or rigging the company will give them few names, but usually they don't interfere. It's the talent's own property after all.
Edit to add : Matara has given the most detailed breakdown of the process. iirc the company asked if she needed any ideas and she replied that she was already working with K_Cross and she handled everything from there herself.

Thing won't go well with Indie Vtuber when a Teenager who could get access to internet doesn't know how to behave like a normal human being.
