  • An aggressive stance and menacing growl have always been synonymous with American Muscle Cars, and the Chevy Corvette is a car that comes to the top of most peoples minds when they think of classic sports cars. The Corvette was introduced in 1954 and has withstood the test of time, remaining a favorite among gear heads for generations. The corvette came about in an era of over the top designs, however it stood apart with its balanced styling and impressive performance. This Corvette is a 1959 and is powered by a 283ci V8 with Rochester fuel injection and mated to a four speed manual transmission. It also has a dual exhaust, with the normal muffled exhaust exiting through the rear bumpers and side exhaust fitted with removable steel covers to give the driver the option to remove the steel plates and let the engine roar to its full potential. Bob Bondurant, Bill Thomas, Dick Guldstrand, Zora Arkus-Duntov, and Joe Freitas are proudly present on the center console. Classic American Muscle cars have always been perfect for those who like to wrench on their own cars, and this Corvette is no exception. With parts being readily available and inexpensive compared to their Italian counterparts the Chevy Corvette is ticks all the boxes.

While they can be very desireable, desire is a very personal thing and therefore your statement is an opinion.

The driving test back then in Ca. Yup the dreaded parallel parking! Today you can push a button and well ah. We would have never dreamed of that.

Wow you have such a cool job! You nail it on being too OCD about owning a perfect car. I like you're knowing the difference between old Ferraris and old corvettes. It's nice to hear about the Driving experience that you relate. Not having driven any Ferraris, just old corvettes. Thanks for sharing! CHEERS

The chevrolet small block v8 weighed less than the 6. Both of those weren't bad with manual steering. The one that was a killer were the 348 and 409. These engines were never available in a corvette. In the full size cars they were available in power steering was almost mandatory.
