Great video Stan! I bought the golden grippers a while back and I have completed level 5 (250lbs). I think that's pretty good, especially when looking at your other grip strength videos where you tested other fitness influencers/competitors. Level 6 feels impossible and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to complete it.

Thank you so much for sharing your fitness challenge I saw it yesterday night and today I got up and went to the first gym I drove past I’ve never been to a gym in my life and I’m skinny and weak but you guys inspired me. Turns out the gym I walked into was a power lifting gym I didn’t know what that was but everyone was so friendly and they asked me if I wanted to try working out and I just went for it it was so much fun and I joined up cos it’s such a friendly place and they don’t seem to mind that they are all giant strong people and I’m a weakling they inspire me with their insane dedication. But it alls thanks to your series where you got fit and your brother helped thank you both so so much

Great video, I really liked it. Next time you can maybe take with you CoC grippers 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4. Let see which one of them could the strongest guys close. Next idea would be let say a 20-25 kg kettlebell front end hold. How long they could hold it? There is even a guiness world record for that discipline.

Kind of didn´t try for sure. He was going atleast parallel with a Captains of Crush 3 some 14 yrs ago or about that time. Grabbed it without setting the first leg across the palm and just pumped it a few times, almost closing it each time. People buy a new gripper and get certified with it for an official list. He was beyond good for clicking the handles on that one. It is unlikely Ronnie could not do a 100kg-ish squeeze at that time. People say that around 90kg worth of a dynamometer squeeze is about good enough to certify on a number 3 with a credit card set between the handles. Would not surprise me if Ronnie could do say 115kg back then.

@@destructicon844 Dynamometer reading in the 90kg+ range(190lbs+) is about good enough for a 280lb spring Captain of Crush N3. It depends on the spread of the handles of the dynamometer a lot.
Thing is about Ronnie´s reading, that he just kinda grips it like a fork.
Grip strength remains until you are really getting frail.
Ronnie just kinda grabbing and pulling it like a climber would hang onto a crack is not quite the best he can do even now. That would be some black magic, if he could not go more around the grips and do some 85 kg, or a tad more. Arthrosis is a bitch.
I don´t know which part of the grippers is what, but I imagine the spring itself is the rating, so beyond the round parts is less and less "under" the given load. A CoC 4 at 365 lbs takes just about 200 lbs to close the handles with a one inch strap on the bottom.
Everyone I know of my age and size that does some sport or work, has closed the 200lb rated gripper I bought, and a woman that isn´t weak can do the 100 quite comfortably, but is looking kinda far from the 150, although that is a bit of training and getting used to the setup.
I have them from 50-350, which is kind of alike the CoC, but the cheaper ones vary even more, and are somewhat softer on average. Guys that just grab them can´t do the 200, but when they get the back lef id deep, they smash it. It isn´t really about strength as about setup.
The 250lbs one that I have closed when I was doing them(dusty and unused now), was almost too hard for people to close in a "two handed anywhow". I would believe that one is a true 2.5 CoC.
I don´t really think the guys that could do the 200lb one, touched the handles on the 250 when trying with a two handed thigh assisted anyhow. They ranged from 1-6 with the 200, and I could do a dozen anytime, and a good few over 20 in a row to failure.
Not that they Really couldn´t close the 250lber, but they did try several times, and at some 80% of going balls to the wall, they knew it was hard to touch and "didn´t press the metal cricket" no more.
This is all a speculation, but I would be mighty surprised, if the 300 I have, wasn´t really a good bit harder than a 280lbs CoC3, as that one is extremely hard.
I didn´t try, but I thought It seemed I could stand on the end of the handles and perhaps close it, and I was around 88kg. That would be more like a 3.5 CoC.
@@japanesecar1501 The one I have is an adjustable hand grip strengthener, and I am a pretty big guy (6'4) and I think that bigger hands definitely help with this sort of thing. I've only had my brother and dad try it and neither of them could close it even half way, which made me feel pretty cool lol.
Also I didn't mean to insinuate that Ronnie couldn't do better, not only was his form pretty bad but it seemed like he didn't care enough to correct it.
