You should get some really good endurance from this design, it's a great platform for FPV! Time to go edgeTX, turn up the VTX output and bend a few FCC rules, and then see how far you can fly (while slightly bending a few FAA rules!).. 😁

That's the plan!! I need to get a new radio master radio! Hopefully this summer I'll be able to do that!!

Right now I have about 15 minutes of flight time. But I'm going to change up the props and maybe be able to up that to 20 minutes.

@@FlyTimeRC you will be easily able to double/triple your battery capacity. With a similar foam body design, 63 inch wing, 7 inch chord length and a 4s5000 battery i was getting 30-40 minutes flight time without even flying conservatively. On 4s it would fly easily with 10000mah of battery but the weight is starting to get a bit counterproductive in terms of endurance due to mine being a smaller plane... The 4s5000 is 500g in weight so probably has just under 50% more capacity than the 3s6000mah.. with the sleek design and low weight of your foam design, 90 minutes flight time should be a breeze :)
also, you might find a cheap 5010 motor at maybe 350 to 700kv and the 15" prop will give you heaps of thrust with and drop many grams off your overall weight. I've been a bit blown away by how much power they can handle for such a tiny motor size..

@@jaredstaniland9117 I was hoping I'd get 30 minutes with my current design considering I'm not much heavier and have a much larger wing than my big red v tail that would run 30 minutes on the same battery. But it had a smaller motor and slightly higher kv. I think the 13x5 prop I'm running is a little small. Im going to try a 15x5 next. Also a 4s may be a better route. More rpm less amp draw. May be a better combo. But for now I'm pretty happy with the fly time. I'm also considering building my own batteries. Maybe go up to 8000mah? Not sure. But maybe an option. I'll check out that motor. The one I'm run had tons of power maybe not super efficient with the current set up but I want to see what I can do to improve what I've got before I make big changes. At least the plane flys great and is a great base for long range fpv I think.

@@jaredstaniland9117 I do have a 4s 3300mah I may try but it may be to light to get the right CG. I did build this plane around the 3s 6000 mah. I could potentially make some modifications to fit a larger 4s though.
