“Actually we’re not good, I attended the wedding only because both our moms wanted me too. This friendship has run its course. But don’t make a big deal out of it.”
@Lina-zi6rv go during their summer it's cold and not enough insulated places. Lemonade is actually just sprite a d their milkshakes are closer to litteral shaken milk
@jjureidini7530 😂 they plan the flights for you to sleep. You get on, they feed you, you go to sleep, you wake up, they feed you, and then you get off, and you are in Auckland. The last time I traveled from NZ was 12 years ago, but Air NZ flights were comfy, and each seat had its own tv. When Dunedin's Cadbury factory still made chocolate and not snack bars. The Cadbury chocolate was so creamy and yummy. They were proud it was made with NZ Dairy. My favorite was their Crunch bar. My MIL loved the Cadbury Flake. One of the best things I got from NZ was a lovely Pavlova recipe. Think lovely marshmallow meringue with cream and fruit of your choosing. In order to make it, I highly recommend a strong mixer like a kitchen aid. Otherwise, it could kill your mixer.
Lisa is 100% in an abusive relationship. The SIL made the guest list, and then made Lisa have to bring up excuses for why ppl weren't invited? The husband gets all the praise and admiration during the wedding while the bride gets an afterthought? The whole wedding was impersonal and Lisa loses her best friend? Yeah, Lisa is in for a world of hurt and loneliness... all for a man 😑
I was heavily pregnant when my close friend went to try on dresses and she trued to tell me i didnt have to come and so i told her no that i want to be there for everything!!! And so i was and that issue didnt come up again. Fast forward, my infant son came with to bridal shower bachelorette events and is in the pictures and well loved by her and her husband 💞
This is quite sad seeing they are true lofelong friends to this point. Felt let an attempt at a proper sitdown was needed for this girl as she is being isolated.
Lisa sounds like a chick I know who's wedding was all fake Instagram stuff, they booked out an entire winery and she turned up in a helicopter, not long after they divorced because they found out her husband was trying to groom her little sister, strangely this was in New Zealand too 🤣
She'll come crawling back in a year or so after her husband hits her for the first time and she realizes he and his family spent the last year systematically isolating her from all her family and friends.
By the sounds of it, it just sounds like Lisa cannot stand up for herself either. Like it sounds like her husband's family is trying to isolate her from her friends and family and she's just going along with it. It makes sense on one hand that SIL wouldn't invite people who's numbers she doesn't have, but on the other hand, it's a bachelorette party. You can ask the bride who she wants invited. And the wedding sounds like it was all about the groom too which is wild. Like Lisa was not there. Lisa was probably very happy she didn't lose OP, but yeah, no, she lost OP... I don't blame OP for cutting off Lisa, but if Lisa needs help in the future, I hope she has some friends who can help dig her out
I haven’t listened to the story yet but just based off the title and first 30 seconds, I could maybe understand why if OP was 40 weeks pregnant and liable to have her water break any second, but at 13 weeks, wtf?
Bridezilla wanted the perfect wedding, and ended up losing more than she realizes. She's going to wonder why she doesn't get a personal announcement when the baby is born, and probably won't understand how her actions caused so many people to write her off.
This situation sounds deeply hurtful, especially considering the bond you likely share with a lifelong friend. Pregnancy is a joyful time, but being excluded from such an important event must feel isolating. It might help to have an honest conversation with your friend to understand her perspective-there could be a reason behind her decision that’s not immediately clear. Remember to prioritize your emotional well-being, especially during this sensitive time
Yeah no Lisa is in an abusive friendship and her husband is isolating her from her friends and support network. She'll only come back when Lisa hits rock bottom and realises what happens

this girl is silly. love the ice cream bits
NZ dairys are definitely unique. Just don't ever ask for a milkshake and expect anything close to a thick American Milkshake.
@@ReinetteRenee16you’re making me wanna go to New Zealand 🤤

@@ReinetteRenee16Came for the Reddit story, stayed for the NZ cultural education lol. Not that I will ever spend that many hours on a plane

Yes, that's going to be a miserable marriage. Isolated by her husband family.
OP doesn't think her friend is in a abusive relationship but we'll have to wait and see.

I think that the chicks who got invited were the shady 'What Happens in Vegas' types who could be counted on to not squeal about shenanigans. 🤔🤨

you should have hugged her at the end and saying you are dead to me and leave.
Team Lisa it honestly sounds like something else is going on in her life and the night out wasn't in her control/a big thing
2:49 very demure, very mindful
