The mention and caution on drying time is really helpful and something I rarely hear reviewers think about... but can be a really important factor for someone with limited space to dry a tent.
I Bought a MC TOMOUNT Tent back when you did a review on a 2 person tent about a year ago, it's been a Outstanding tent, I have been very pleased, the Value for the money is fantastic, this is a company that deserves watching, the make a great quality tent that is budget friendly.
I’m in the same situation, and have mentioned on several channels a similar issue for taller people. firstly when you lay down your feet drop away, and nobody wants their head rubbing on the sloping walls of the tent. I always add 12” to my height 76” + 12 =88” - This becomes my min length in a tent. So I have room to move around. I have just purchased a tent from Big Agnes ( my 2nd tent - as I loved the first one, but not so much the color). This New one is the Spicer Peak 6 person tent, it’s definitely a car camping tent, and not a backpacking tent. But has an internal height of 80” granted this is down the middle… but us tall folks can definitely get dressed inside without difficulty. Check it out. Some good offers to be had at this time of year too. SPICER PEAK 6 by Big Agnes ( USA company)
Looks like a decent tent for the money. Question: why don't manufacturers simply add a roll-up, zippered flap to cover the mesh portions? Would that give the tent the needed coverage to make it more suitable for 4-season use? It would be worth a bit more money to have this feature.
More weight. It's important even for car campers. No one ever said that "lugging" ANYTHING heavy is FUN... I do very long hikes (a week to (last year) five months, so weight is VERY important to me. This would be something that I would purchase for my wife, as she likes camping, but not hiking. We are in our early 70s.
I have a question you might be able to answer, why have the "2" different types of clips? Why not just the clip over the pole type that can be fixed or replaced if broken. The other 2 off ones seem to be none fixable. Thank you for the great reviews and keep up the good work .
Do they sell an add-on insulated layer/fly-like contraption that could stretch the season? Maybe some sort of insulated floor pad? I have a sewing machine ...
Maybe you could shed some light on my quandary. I’m 6’4”. I know countless campers that are 6’+ both male and female and virtually NO tent features an inside height of more than 6’. They may claim 6’, but they aren’t. Most “6’” tents run around 5’10” at the inside peak. I just wanna stand up to put on a pair of pants. Why don’t tent manufacturers build 2-6 person tents with realistic interior height?
depending on where you are located, here in Aus we have the oztent RV series. I just checked the internal dimensions and it's measuring in at 190cm or 6'2. don't pack up the smallest though. there are also Coleman instant popup series
I'm 6ft 5in. I don't have a problem with this. It's camping not glamping. Can't have all the comforts of home or a hotel. The taller the tent the heavier. Get you a cabin tent or a canvas hot tent.
With out modifications for cold weather, like light weight tarps or drop clothes on the outside, this looks like a good 3 season and to me it's at a good price. May put this on my shopping wishlist. I have friends in California I haven't visited in a few years and this looks like it would be great for the desert area we usually end up camping in.
Thank you for this review as I love this tent. I greatly appreciate your honest review including what it is not (ie a cold/freezing weather winter tent.
It’s a 4 season tent for sure! In Florida. 😀 With all those zippers, even with storm flaps, I find it hard to believe that a windy, rainy day, something wont get in.
Hay really like this video good information. If I got this tent I would never use the door when it’s raining I’d use the entrance with the awning and stay dry.
awesome Tent Luke! thanks for the reveiwe.... Susy you are a very patient woman - Luke is a very lucky man ;-) Keep up the good work both off you :-) Best regards from Nicolai from Denmark
Glad that you mentioned the possibility of the exposed frame freezing during cold/wet conditions. I once saw a couple struggling to breaking down their tent because of a frozen frame and it was a mess,,
Can we get reviews of the Bearskin hoodie. All reviews are from paid sponsors Luke! Also, how about a bell tent or wall tent with a stove or diesel heater in it. Or old school kerosene heater in a tent. Thanks
I have a bearskin hoodie and I'm very happy with mine. It's warm and even in the rain it stays dry for a while. It has tons of pocket space. I like the hood because it's roomy enough for my knoggin.
I like the tent in general. I just dont like that jt doesnt have much of any vestebule. That is a feature that I've come to really value in a tent, from extra storage space, a place to leave shoes and just to protect the doorway while entering and exiting during rain.
Thanks for the review Luke! I like this tent a lot, but really wondering when the Onetigris Jovian review will come out. I know this is a cabin style but I think the Jovian is close.
With the poles being exposed like that, could a tarp be placed over it somehow for the 4th season? It wouldn't be ideal of course, but perhaps it could be done and give the extra protection needed. It would have to be a large tarp, and positioned just right im sure lol. 🤔
Interesting tent, but I do have one issue. You cannot have any privacy unless you lower the awnings and close the end-doors. For this reason I'd like to see zippered fabric on the inside of the doors as well. That way you could leave the awnings up, and still get some privacy at night or when you're inside changing clothes.
You mention the tub comes up really high on the sides but it doesn't look like in the video the tub is is continuous from the floor, appears to be a seem right at ground level. Can you confirm.
THIS is the improved version of the One Tigress Baker Tent. The poles make all the difference. Single wall tents can't breathe in the rain, which is really their only drawback.
Should be 5000mm as a true 3 season tent. Do not think it would do well in high wind either, not enough guy lines on the big panels. Is it seam sealed? Also the bath tub seems very shallow....what's it made of?
It truly just depends on each individual. I have my small 3 person pop up tent for when it’s just my daughter and i for one night camping.. then i have a 12 person huge tent for when we are camping all of us (dad and dog included lol )plus our gear and specially if we are camping lots of days. It also depends how big they are put away some are huge while others are small. I don’t always go camping in my truck sometimes i go in my small suv so i have less space and ill take the smaller tent. Honestly it all just depends where you’re going who you’re camping with and what you want. :)
he didn't review it he just set it up in the rain (said in his camping outing it was water proof) this was a set up review. the rain proof part was last week.
No interior pockets and loops? Where do you hang a light or dry your socks? And the vestibules are so small as to be useless. This tent fails on key features I am looking for in a tent.
Hey Luke, I've always enjoyed your videos but I never realized that I was actually watching TH-cam royalty. What a weight of responsibility you carry as the one person that inspired every solo camper on TH-cam!!! I'm sorry you feel responsible for that other TH-camrs death. How long had he been a subscriber of yours at the time of his death. Perhaps you should begin putting a disclaimer at the beginning of all your videos because I know you definitely do not want a repeat of that tragedy. Keep up the awesome work. Strength and honor.
exactly what i was thinking. they must sell an additional snow skirt style fly that goes over the top of those poles. maybe the released the tent before completing R&D on the fly? who knows! i do know for sure, i'll be keeping an eye on this one. could be perfect for a back country camp and hunt with that snow fly!
4 season tent is confusing! I get in most of the world/Northern Hemisphere the 4th season is winter but here in the Southern Hemisphere the 4th season is summer so any tent other than 4 season tents are 4 season tents here!
I bought one. Big waste of money. Leaked like a seive in very light rain. What a waste. It's strange because I own tents that you've tested and they leaked. Mine never leaked a drop in hours of downpour. I also own tent that you claim are amazing when it came to waterproofing. Mine leaked, tents I paid alot for because of your positive reviews. I've spent lots of money buying seam sealer. Your reviews are not religion. Every tent from the same manufacturer is different. Much to many variables in the manufacturing process. Even some of the high end tents avalible today leak. Easy to find gear reviews on tents and gear that you've claimed are amazing and they've failed being used by other camper/bushcrafters. Big Big reason i take your reviews with a grain of salt. Case in point? The gold armor tarp, I own a bunch, never leaked, never tore. You bashed this tarp brand bad

How can you assert that any given tent isn't 4-season? I've been year round camping my entire life and in the winter we usually didn't even use a tent. Just a bag and pad and if it was going to be really cold, a bivy sack. But for winter camping in a protected spot like your most excellent location, literally any tent would do, it has been my experience. And for mountaineering in very cold and high winds, if no snow cave could be dug, then we'd use the North Face dome; for the wind protection, never the warmth. Just the wind because you should always be dressed for success and warmth. Always warm. Is my humble opinion.

I personally like the tent. It seems very roomy for at least 2 people. But for four, definitely not. ❤❤ Great video Luke
In my opinion, it seems to be a good little summer time tent. 👍🏽
I love these. I already ordered a 2 person Toumount tent to supplement my Nature Hike single person tent. Impressive performance for sure.
Looks perfect to camping here in Florida. 👍
Incredibly good audio in this video.
Its a "4th Season" Tent somewhere
É possível agilizar o processo de secagem, usando uma toalha, depois deixar secar por poucas horas ao ar livre. Fazemos isso aqui kk
I really like an awning on a tent. So functional.

Love the amount of overlap on those awning doors vs the screen. You could leave that awning up in a rain shower!

You would hate the snugpack ionosphere..😂
Been looking at duration gear tents for that reason.
Very nice tent and the price is pretty good for the size of it. And considering it's waterproof I give it a 👍
Thank you 🙏

Does Loan Wolf mountain get enough snow to make a snow cave for an emergency shelter?
Love how tent manufacturers love to cram as many people as possible within a certain space without consideration to gear
It could be 4 seasons here in Florida. It looks like a great tent we could use.
Thank you for this review as I love this tent. I greatly appreciate your honest review including what it is not (ie a cold/freezing weather winter tent.

Very few unbiased reviews of that online. Most of the ones I've seen are "paid" reviews.
Yo Yo Yo!...MC Tomount at it again! 🎤🎵🎶

Not available in Europe unfortunately :( Importing would cost ~300 USD. Maybe it will also be available here soon.

Great review.
If I am going to carry and set up a big tent I want to be able to stand up inside it.
Are the nubs and hooks plastic? Cus that might be a negative.
Thank you
a "shamwow" type of cloth is useful hitting those hidden areas for moisture :)
Looks good. 😊
You do the best reviews had to click to watch
Should do a review on hill zero gear tents. Very nice tents
The link for the outdoor research jacket is incorrect may you update it or list the model

What’s the name of that butane heater you used ?
You mention the tub comes up really high on the sides but it doesn't look like in the video the tub is is continuous from the floor, appears to be a seem right at ground level. Can you confirm.
If it was raining, would it not let in rain every time you entered or left the tent due to the sloping outwards shape???

If you can sleep under a tarp on the ground in a snowstorm, you can use any tent in the winter. It's just a shelter.
It looks like one of those ‘fishing’ supplier tents we get in the UK ? But it does look awesome 👍
great review
Can't wait
Good review. More and more modified A frames stretched out in a useable stance.
Wow, I could take this tent on vacation, a 4 or 5-day, can space gear out and have table inside no problem, that's for 1 or 2 people. I am 5'5''
This isn't 6 hrs ago. I saw it 2wks ago on this same channel.

Repost, or different tent?
Thanks nice review
Temu Maxmass 2 p tent it's off the ground on poles. Visually could you please check it out.
Not a camper, my question is if one buys a cabin tent, why not buy one that is comfortable like a stand-up one?
It truly just depends on each individual. That was some next level dash...to grab that pole.😂 im not going to buy it.😅
It can be a winter tent just throw a tarp over it to protect the poles 😅
You must have a whole shed or basement/garages for all the tents and stuff you have for camping 😅
at most 3 person tent. I'm a expat in philippines that tent would be perfect.
Didn't you do this review already in bad weather in the rain?I couldn't just sworn you.Did that last week for the week before
he didn't review it he just set it up in the rain (said in his camping outing it was water proof) this was a set up review. the rain proof part was last week.
I'm leaning towards a leak from the roof vents.
Always divide by 2 and round down to get the real person count.
blud has his beanie over his eyes
Why nubs on ceiling and not regular clips
Oh YEAH! Hoss is lookin hardcore in this vid
Luke you are fantastic at doing a tent ⛺ review ....You cover everything .Thanks .❤😊

$230 now. That's a crazy uncharge for this tent from when you got it.

How long until OneTigris copies this design?
if they had an additional fly to cover the poles, it could theoretically be a 4s tent. i dig this setup though.
