    Does anyone know the right link to get the RGB driver for this keyboard?

      Whenever it's available, I download the softwares from here - you can find it under the 'Download' tab under the product pictures: www.whatgeek.com/products/ajazz-ak870-tri-mode-wireless-mechanical-keyboard
      Or here's the direct link:

    Make a budget tier list.
    So it becomes easy to decide which one to go for.

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I find it very hard to make such list, as the market changes so rapidly (so do the prices)
      Also most of the functions' worth are up to personal preferences, so it's hard to make it universal

      I only know about Win compatibility, but haven't tried it myself on other OS.

    bruh I recently bought the keycaps from someone in winnipeg. I guess not recently but I didnt know it was from this keyboard

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, nice! Aula and some more brands use almost identical keycaps (I wouldn't be too surprised to discover they are all the same factory irl)

    Will you be taking a look at the upcoming Epomaker Tide 75? I'm unsure on that one and the Aula. I love the sound of the aula (with milky yellow switches I've purchased seperately) but I'm not too sure about the latency. Maybe Tide fixes that issue

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for the recommendation, I'll ask if they have a review unit, sounds very promising!
      Yeah, latency is a hit-or-miss even in recent keyboards! Aula F75 latency is really not bad though - anything under 10ms can be safely used for gaming, only need to upgrade for lower latency when you are not being only a casual gamer.

    Do you prefer this or the ak820pro, im considering buying this that have a screen & can you recomend other keyboard around the same price that have better typing experience?

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hm, tough question - I really love the design and the case on this one, but because of the 75%+knob layout I would choose the AK820 Pro.
      A bit more expensive, but the Aula F75 is also similar, but if you have cca. $90, I would go with the Leobog Hi75 or ND75 or Womier SK75 (I prefer alu over plastic case, and those have a much better sound, at least to my taste)

    The charger indicator light always turns red even when the battery is full, I use a wired connection, is yours like that too?

      No, once it's fully charged, it should turn off

      Try the factory reset (Fn+Esc long-press iirc), if that doesn't work either, it's OK to contact the shop you've brought it from to ask them for help.

    • @thoccnology

      Thank you!! It's a bit different, this has TKL layout and no volume knob. The AK820 Pro is a 75% layout with a knob. :)

    how to upgrade ak870 reguler to add screen and knob?

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This version does not support this sadly! You have to buy the screen version for that.

    what do you you use to measure the latency of the keyboardi

    • @thoccnology

      I use a method similar to Rtings, with a slow-motion camera and a high refresh rate monitor.

    Which is the best ak870 or ak820 gts?

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In quality and sound they are almost identical. What you have to consider is the different layout - and to decide if you prefer TKL or 75%

    Hey do you have a tier list per budget range??

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a tough one, first because of the range definitions, and second because there are multiple shops with multiple prices (not to mention shipping) that can affect the price.

    The things that stand out to me as good would be the RGB circle is kinda neat, the feet look nice, the colors are cute and the Dongle slot + tri mode switch on the outside is nice. For the price its not bad at all ^^ Id probably try stuff out to get a nice sound for me personally, maybe some nicer switches is a good start. Thanks for the review ^^

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree, my preference is also a quite a bit creamier switch, but I get surprisingly many comments that people like the feedback on somewhat scratchy switches - it's so interesting, infinite amount of preferences LOL
      I'm so sad I couldn't get better shots on the RGB circle :'( I should experiment with the camera settings and room lighting to solve this.

    • @stellanova522
      @stellanova522 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thoccnology Yea im happy that things are being made for basically every preference even if some things take the majority of the market :p im guessing the RGB circle being hard to pick up on camera might be related to the framerate your camera is recording at. Speaking of which, id just recently got into photography,
      id love to know what camera you use ^^

      @@thoccnology ah nice :D i heard aigma lenses are great, i always loved photographt but never really got into it last phone photography, up until a few days ago when i got a Canon Kiss X3 (japanese version of the 500D) with a 50mm 1.8f/s lens, got them both second hand for about 160 euros total ^^ been have a ton of fun :3 already know i want to get into it more, i want to get another prime lens for wider angle shots as well as a telephoto lens in the future. I got into the hobby relativly cheap and dont have the budget for what i want yet, but im super happy with what the 50mm can do already ^^ Whats the lens you gravitate towards most and what is your favorite type of photography :3? (sorry for the novel lol :p )

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stellanova522 OMG its JP name is Kiss? How cute that is! ^^ Also 160eur is very decent for such a kit!
      I found 50mm lenses to be quite universal and very usable even for portrait and product photography. Until you get more stuff in the future, it will be very nice to enjoy this! ^^
      My most preferred lenses are my 18-50mm f2.8 Sigma and 70mm f2.8 (also Sigma). They have tremendously better picture quality than anything I've seen before (even in higher price categories). But definitely a bit pricy already. That's why I stopped for a while before buying more :')
