I have an Arsenal 106f I picked up over a year ago for $1,700. Picked it up from a guy online near my area. The rifle is practically brand new, came with its original box, sling, and all the flings from factory. Even threw in one of those translucent smoke circle 10 magazines. I’ve since purchased 4 more of those and like you said, they sure as hell ain’t cheap. I don’t much mind the price since they’re just cool as hell in my opinion. I love the look and fit of them. I’ll be purchasing some more circle 10 magazines for it but the black polymer ones. Figure I’ll have 5 and 5. Very much enjoy shooting my SLR-06f. Very smooth and quite reliable, absolutely love it !!
Nice bro, I have one too and it's one of the last AKs in my collection that I'd get rid of. Bought it originally in CA where it's a straight unicorn lol. I can confirm that the AC-Unity 5.56 and PufGun mags run flawlessly if you wanna save some dough.
I think the reason this variant failed is that it was ahead of its time and Bulgarian mags were the only option and $50 bucks (2011) a mag. There are les expensive and cheaper mag available now.
All the videos and forums say 5.56 is more available... All through the pandemic I have seen 7.62x39 numerous times and have not seen any 5.56 at all on the shelf since March 2020. I just saw my 1st box of 5.56 at academy last weekend. In contrast, I have seen and bought 7.62x39 on numerous occasions... 7.62x39 has had 10 times the availability since last year.
@@TheGeekyNerd Wolf (Barnaul, LVE, Klimovsk) being imported until November 2023. Tulammo/UCW August 2023. Amursk/Vympel August 2023. Palmetto purchased tooling from Ukraine to produce steel case 5.45x39, 7.62x39, and 7.62x54r in the US. Right now Mesko 7.62x39 from Poland is competitive with Russian steel.
Lord only knows, one of the best IMO, although the new ZPAP M90 appears promising. I will say though once you hold and use an Arsenal AK you see and feel the difference then never go back.
I don't know why there aways has to be a wasr fan boy in the comments saying that their rifle is just as good as any other. Most AKs run fine, and every brand has their lemons. Honestly wasr is a $600 rifle that costs $1000. The finish/wood looks awful from the factory and there is plenty of better options to spend your money on. You don't have to defend your purchase on every AK review you see on TH-cam

@@BULLDOGHOTSHOT1 all I have is AKs man. Wasr, Saiga, Vepr, KUSA, PSA, Zastava, Arsenal. It's just draining on my soul to be watching a video on a really nice Arsenal rifle and then read "nOtHinG WRoNG wIth WAsrS". I just don't see the need for people to defend their purchase every chance they get.
@@jacobstrawn4174 I wasn't defending xD just mentioning my rifle because I really like it. At first I was hesitant but I couldn't get a wbp or a kusa at the time. So I settled. It was a surprise when I came to really appreciate it. Then I ran across the burn downs and again. I was surprised. I even said they were rough xD
@@KB-kw8ni I have both, can't go wrong with either. The Beryl has a nicer fit, finish and is gassed better, but I really like the 106 it is shorter and folds down. 5.56 AKs are plain cool.

Couldn't find a 106 for under $1700 anywhere...Got a Zastava M90 for $1200.
They are hard to find and expensive, the M90 is a solid second best. Just once you get an arsenal you know/feel what people say.

my arsenal slr106f was about as straight as a twisty straw. canted rear and front sight base so bad It wouldnt even zero. I sold it.

They didn’t sell at the time. This was a $1,200 AK in a market full of $500 AK’s.

Nothing wrong with wasrs... They run and run barrel after barrel no problems. They're just very rough but won't quit.
