  • This one was a surprise as we went to rotate tire and change brake fluid and found the water pump leak. “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”

A shop wanted $450.00 the parts where $120.00 so $330.00 for labor.
Took me 2 1/2 hours, but I was also making this video. So figure 2 hours of focused time. Or $160.00 an hour seems high to me.
I do have some short cuts in the video to not remove any accessory item and I do not remove the fan shroud.
Watch this one and save MONEY
You need only a few tools for this.

Great video... you have the same birds in your shade trees that I have in mine! I hear American Robins, House Sparrows, House Finches, and Yellow Warblers.

99% of the time,if engine spins clockwise, if a water pump has a f-L-at pulley turn nut to the left. If a water pump pulley has g-R-ooves, turn to the right

Obviously you have never replaced a water pump on a big block Mopar. 2 wrenches, 1/2" and 9/16' and a prybar. Most can be replaced in 20 minutes or less. "DO NOT" ever use a wrench to tighten the fan clutch when reassembling. start it by hand and leave it alone. Running the engine will do all the tightening it will ever need. You were lucky that either no one has done that pump before or some one before you knew what they were doing!!!

I find that big wrench and a tap or two gets them loose
