I personally think you’re giving Mayhem too much credit, we all saw what her interpretation of “killing it” was on AS5, and she did awful, i can't even remember a single thing or runway she did on AS5 besides her tumbling on her own words on the Variety Show, so i don't think she could have gone farther on S10 than she actually did, let alone Top 2 lmao

Mayhem should never of even been in the bottom 2 the bossy rossy episode in season 10 compared to how vixen asia and monet done mayhem should've been perfectly safe the only reason she was in the bottom is because her runway wasn't your traditional blue denim like everyone elses runway looks but she killed the lipsync against monet and should've stayed. As for all stars 5 yh Mayhem didn't do as great as what i would've liked her to do and her runways compared to season 10 were more downgraded rather than upgraded but sbe still done fairly decent in the challenges her mr rogers verse was hilarious she csme close to winning the hotel decoration challenge (because between her and blair it was obvious mayhem would've been the top all star) and honestlg between her and india in the sheMZ challenge Mayhem done much better however india's runway was better . Plus by that point mayhem was ready to go home however if mayhem had that bit more drive i think mayhem and india's placements could easily of been switched. She may of even went as far as to take blair's place. And she more than proved herself in As6 as a lipsync assassin she killed the lipsync alongside Ginger minj and it honestly could've/should've been a double win
although Kameron is great at stunts and dancing and being fierce overall, I think Monet and Vixen are more versatile and have more charisma, which does matter in a lipsync performance, and Kameron kinda lacks in that area a little

Gigi lost the lipsync with the better track record. Monique wasn't picked for top 2 in as4 when she had a better track record than monet Miz cracker lost the final lipsync with a better track record than shea. At the end of the day, ru/production just crowns whoever she wants to crown, there doesn't need to be based on track record / lip-sync performance
I would actually love to season just play out with absolutely no rigging like at all. I’d love to see how that play out. It’ll actually probably be better and more gaggy. Imagine a front runner getting eliminated towards the end, because they’re not a good lip syncing

If she knew the words, she would have absolutely stayed over Nina Bonina Brown (who had been in the bottom multiple times before then). Not saying that Nina didn’t deserve to stay in the competition, but I think that is one of the few cases where a front runner really lost their spot to the top because they didn’t prepare / weren’t a good at the lip sync.

Top 4 would probably end up being Symone, Rose, maybe Denali, maybe Olivia, maybe Tina Burner, maybe Gotmik. I honestly don't know who other than Symone and Rose would definitely be in top 4.

As ... odd, as the thought of Mayhem winning is (as much as I adore her), it's also great and weird to think about how she took the longest of that group of LA girls, and would end up placing the highest of them. But I also know that while they (as in Raven, Morgan, Mariah, Delta, ect) tend to have a reputation of being bitchy they're really so nice and supportive, they'd just be happy for her.

I really liked the cast/queens more than I thought I would, as I've only seen most of them on All Stars and by then I was getting a different or "seasoned" side of them. To be honest though, once Monet and Monique were gone I wasn't as interested in the season. As well as Miss C, but by then the show was pretty much over lol. Vixen I liked, but i wasn't sure if she was being portrayed like that by production or if she's really just a fighter. And I did find for the first half of the season I had a tougher time warming up to Eureka compared to Season 9. She felt almost out of place, but the season felt very much like Aquaria's season - but also maybe I felt that way because I knew she won lol. Kameron is cute out of drag LOL Beyond that, I still have the reunion and technically the finale (I might skip the finale, I usually do) to finish before watching season 11 for the first time as well.
I just started season 11 and honestly I cant watch it? its so boring to me, I had this problem with season 6 and got through it tho so im thinking its because I cant find a good quality season 11 to hook me enough lol. I also skip the finale and just google who won after they re-did who wins from the very first seasons.

but going into casting and production of the season didnt it start off seeming like mayhem WASNT cast as filler because her storyline that was set up in ep1 clearly was gonna push her to being top dog she won the first challenge her legacy was shared all of her house sisters were cheering her on during the runway battle all that buildup made her shine so bright

The only person I truly think still deserved better is Dusty. The final lipsync (within the lipsync for the crown format) is just as fair as any other lipsync, if they can edit in in favour of there preferd contestant they will but that's really hard to do with a live audience as we learned with Aquaria Vs Eureka. Unfortunately predetermined results and winner of the lipsync are conveniently always the same person. The one exception being AS4 where they also crowned the looser of the lipsync because they couldn't get away with the lipsync not mattering.

Until the looser of the lipsync for the crown gets picked it can't be proven. (AS4 is the closest we have to that) ultimately it's balancing act between who they want and who they can get away with(aka who won actually won the lipsync)
I like her a lot, but some queen's just aren't suited to the Drag Race format, and she's one of them imho. Also I fully don't understand why she called herself Mayhem when she seems quite calm and poised. I don't think I've ever seen her behave in a way that suits the name.
Nah Kameron should’ve won the Cher Rusical (Monet’s look was awful) and should be in the top of the ball (Mayhem’s look had so much fabric like it looked like a bathrobe)

i really feel like the whole “second finale lipsync never matters” is a little bit rubbish? like Sasha for sure won against peppermint, Yvie for sure beat brooke, and jaida for sureeee beat gigi and crystal the whole narrative that “it always comes down to track records” is just not true because they all decimated their final lipsyncs, the only case that can be made is aquaria lipsync I guess

I think one of the biggest things that this over looks is that Mayhem is just not particularly suited to the style of competition that drag race demands of its Queens. I don’t see her making it to the finale, I don’t see her making it much further past her OG elimination, honestly. I would’ve probably seen her go at snatch game, just given how bad she is at improv. As much as you said bias probably didn’t come in to play here, I think that your familiarity with Mayham was probably a little bit too much for objectivity’s sake. But! A great video. I disagree with Monet winning the Cher Rusical. Was she better in the performance? 100%, I totally agree, but her runway.... I think you didn't take in consideration the runways here. Kameron's runway wasn't amazing, but since she did great in the challenge, the fact that Monet had a bad runway gave her the win. The rest for me was pretty accurate, somethings come down to personal opinions honestly, but I think you made it pretty fair overall.

For me, I get why Mayhem won, just by the look; you can tell much more with Moniques look that it is made with uncoventional material, and it always looked to me like it was breakingto one side, but it definitely should have been at least high.
I will say this, allegedly aquaria slipped on one of eureka’s reveals in the If lip sync, so with the reveals not being all over the stage, she probably wouldn’t have slipped
While I do think mayhem would SLAY drag con, imo you’ve made some bold assumption about her placements. I can totally see her bombing snatch game, getting in her head in breastworld and having very mediocre looks and a bland voiceover in the evil twin challenge

I was team dusty and mayhem from the promo but I think aquaria wouldn’t have fallen because the butterfly incident didn’t happen. Apparently aquaria was so shook she collapsed and was thrown into the lip-sync but is she was in the game and had no butterfly incidents I think she wouldn’t trip.
Only tangentially related, but I just rewatched s10 and remember Eureka’s critiques from Breastworld and as you mentioned they basically said “because we expect so much from you, it was disappointing” which is a critique they frequently give when front-runners fail. It makes me mad when they say that. I wish they’d just say they didn’t do well that week, and not bring their expectations into it at all. Because when they hear that the queen, whoever it is, understandably goes into untucked feeling like they have to compete with impossibly high standards when the truth is that they just didn’t do well that week

I usually love your videos, but looking at Mayhem’s performance in s10 and as, I can’t believe her winning the season. Given that the performance of the queens feed into how the competition wears on them, if Monique was getting all those wins, she could have pulled a Tyra and continue to sew garments. Or if she had a better track record, Cracker would have been like she was in the first two episodes, where she was herself and funny. Hard to tell. Good analysis though.

Manila had arguably a better track record / tied with raja and she lost the final lipsync. Brooke lost the final lipsync with the better track record.
Gigi lost the lipsync with the better track record.
Monique wasn't picked for top 2 in as4 when she had a better track record than monet
Miz cracker lost the final lipsync with a better track record than shea.
At the end of the day, ru/production just crowns whoever she wants to crown, there doesn't need to be based on track record / lip-sync performance
I would actually love to season just play out with absolutely no rigging like at all. I’d love to see how that play out. It’ll actually probably be better and more gaggy. Imagine a front runner getting eliminated towards the end, because they’re not a good lip syncing

But of course we know the producers wouldn’t let things like that happen. It’ll just be interesting to see how certain things would play out if production wasn’t involved

If she knew the words, she would have absolutely stayed over Nina Bonina Brown (who had been in the bottom multiple times before then). Not saying that Nina didn’t deserve to stay in the competition, but I think that is one of the few cases where a front runner really lost their spot to the top because they didn’t prepare / weren’t a good at the lip sync.

As ... odd, as the thought of Mayhem winning is (as much as I adore her), it's also great and weird to think about how she took the longest of that group of LA girls, and would end up placing the highest of them. But I also know that while they (as in Raven, Morgan, Mariah, Delta, ect) tend to have a reputation of being bitchy they're really so nice and supportive, they'd just be happy for her.

I really liked the cast/queens more than I thought I would, as I've only seen most of them on All Stars and by then I was getting a different or "seasoned" side of them. To be honest though, once Monet and Monique were gone I wasn't as interested in the season. As well as Miss C, but by then the show was pretty much over lol.
Vixen I liked, but i wasn't sure if she was being portrayed like that by production or if she's really just a fighter. And I did find for the first half of the season I had a tougher time warming up to Eureka compared to Season 9. She felt almost out of place, but the season felt very much like Aquaria's season - but also maybe I felt that way because I knew she won lol.
Kameron is cute out of drag LOL
Beyond that, I still have the reunion and technically the finale (I might skip the finale, I usually do) to finish before watching season 11 for the first time as well.

but going into casting and production of the season didnt it start off seeming like mayhem WASNT cast as filler because her storyline that was set up in ep1 clearly was gonna push her to being top dog she won the first challenge her legacy was shared all of her house sisters were cheering her on during the runway battle all that buildup made her shine so bright

Mayhem Miller is the winner of Season 10.... honestly, I would've loved to see that. I wanted Monique to be Top 4 so badly, but I do see your point that it would've been hard for her to make it through the makeover (or the Evil Twins challenge really). The only person I truly think still deserved better is Dusty. I don't think she did that bad in the ball and she really could've had a great story arc and made it to the finale, though I don't think she'd win the first round. But I could be delusional cause I love Dusty.

@@iluvujeasus2239 Gigi was never officially disqualified she refilmed everything she needed to. Also I can't see them not crowing Brooke if had she won the lipsync. The final lipsync (within the lipsync for the crown format) is just as fair as any other lipsync, if they can edit in in favour of there preferd contestant they will but that's really hard to do with a live audience as we learned with Aquaria Vs Eureka. Unfortunately predetermined results and winner of the lipsync are conveniently always the same person. The one exception being AS4 where they also crowned the looser of the lipsync because they couldn't get away with the lipsync not mattering.

Until the looser of the lipsync for the crown gets picked it can't be proven. (AS4 is the closest we have to that) ultimately it's balancing act between who they want and who they can get away with(aka who won actually won the lipsync)

I think one of the biggest things that this over looks is that Mayhem is just not particularly suited to the style of competition that drag race demands of its Queens. I don’t see her making it to the finale, I don’t see her making it much further past her OG elimination, honestly. I would’ve probably seen her go at snatch game, just given how bad she is at improv. As much as you said bias probably didn’t come in to play here, I think that your familiarity with Mayham was probably a little bit too much for objectivity’s sake.

I disagree with Monet winning the Cher Rusical. Was she better in the performance? 100%, I totally agree, but her runway.... I think you didn't take in consideration the runways here. Kameron's runway wasn't amazing, but since she did great in the challenge, the fact that Monet had a bad runway gave her the win. The rest for me was pretty accurate, somethings come down to personal opinions honestly, but I think you made it pretty fair overall.
Mayhem isn’t a good actor. She would’ve been low or in the bottom.
Mayhem is fantastic out side of drag race,but in the drag race she never come out for her shell in the show so I don’t think she would do that great and Monique would be eliminated early probably in the Cher(for me would be snatch game),because if she didn’t know the of the cut of the felling how she would done well in the rusical

For me, I get why Mayhem won, just by the look; you can tell much more with Moniques look that it is made with uncoventional material, and it always looked to me like it was breakingto one side, but it definitely should have been at least high.

She’s one of the most underrated queens of the season imo (I think if I made my own version of this she’d probably make at least top 6) Personally I think Monet might have gone earlier, and maybe Asia could have lasted 1/2 more episodes, but I’m not complaining I get your thought process completely

I was team dusty and mayhem from the promo but I think aquaria wouldn’t have fallen because the butterfly incident didn’t happen. Apparently aquaria was so shook she collapsed and was thrown into the lip-sync but is she was in the game and had no butterfly incidents I think she wouldn’t trip.

Only tangentially related, but I just rewatched s10 and remember Eureka’s critiques from Breastworld and as you mentioned they basically said “because we expect so much from you, it was disappointing” which is a critique they frequently give when front-runners fail. It makes me mad when they say that. I wish they’d just say they didn’t do well that week, and not bring their expectations into it at all. Because when they hear that the queen, whoever it is, understandably goes into untucked feeling like they have to compete with impossibly high standards when the truth is that they just didn’t do well that week

I usually love your videos, but looking at Mayhem’s performance in s10 and as, I can’t believe her winning the season. Given that the performance of the queens feed into how the competition wears on them, if Monique was getting all those wins, she could have pulled a Tyra and continue to sew garments. Or if she had a better track record, Cracker would have been like she was in the first two episodes, where she was herself and funny. Hard to tell. Good analysis though.
