The thing is you need to look at these cars in person and test drive a couple of times to get the right impression. These cinematic shots of interior and exterior can mislead you in to believing something good when that may not be the case in reality. I had booked Sonet but then I canceled it and booked Venue now. No doubt Sonet has a very aggressive and bold look and its quite attractive too. But when you sit in the driver's seat the bonet view and the confidence you get in Venue is definitely better. Sonets dashboard is too busy and the AC vent layout is not that great either. The buttons as this reviewer is calling retro, is not very comfortable and practical to use. Even the floating 10 inch display is a kind of distracting. On the other hand Venue's dashboard is quite sophisticated, simple and very practical. One more important thing is Venue's seat cushions are better. Especially the rear seat and it's under thigh support is noticeably better. It has a tad bit more legroom as well as it cuts down a bit on the boot. But have to admit that rear design is the weakest element in Venue. Its pretty plain and looks like a hatchback instead of an SUV. Sonets rear seats are not at all comfortable. The under thigh support is poor, the seat recline is not great and the cushions are hard and doesn't have good legroom as well. Rear design for sure looks really good. The led tail lamps and the entire reflector connecting it looks really nice. So overall all, though Sonet looks are more attractive, Venue's design is more practical and comfortable. You have to drive both back to back a few times to understand this.

Great review bro, Proud owner of Venue SXO. Was a bit disappointed because I could not wait for Sonet. But after I saw price and specs. I think Venue is still good when you compare both price and useable features.
Just imagine if we give interior designing task to these Auto Journalist, I bet they can never get into a conclusion. Because one journalist says I need Piano black finished switches and one would want a simple black because piano black is like a finger print magnet. One says I need a volume control dial, and one says I don't need as I have it on the steering.....so the list goes on and on and finally they never come out with a common agreement😀
I have venue sx+ turbo uske pehle mere pas brezza zdi thi. Rear seats me thodi sapce kum jaroor hai but comfort and boot space sab shikayat dur kar deta hai plus build quality and interior is far better then brezza. I love my car venue
Saw Sonet in showroom yesterday. The specifications numbers doesn't match the actual comfort. They claim boot is 392 liters but it feels like just Brezza boot size. Same with width of the car. Feels very narrow like Venue even though claimed width of the car is more. Interior is filled with unnecessary big vents. Overall Simple interior design of venue looks better than Sonet in person.

True, I am a hyundai owner with cool glove box, but it should not be a deal breaker as one gets so many segment 1st features in Sonet which was earlier reserved for Seltos.

I took a test ride of cars & found that venue is better pic in case of driving becoz kia has stiff suspension and every bump & potholes where felt by driver... Where as in venue it is less(although venues suspension is also stiff) & backspace of venue is more comfortable for family...and cabin insulation is better in venue... If anyone wants to go for looks they can go for sonet.... And if anyone wants comfort then go for venue Pls note above comparison is based on venue sx imt & sonet htx imt And in both i felt venue is better. Hope i was helpful 😊👍

By chance i came across so many videos which shows problems with kia cars. I did some inquiry with my friends too who have seltos and not everyone have a good story to tell. So i have now given up the idea of getting kia. Venue yes.
@@rohittiwari2749 yes. Fantastic car. Indeed. I got the S model. More than enough. Sum roof is just a fad and nothing else. In India, not successful due to pollution and climate. S model has all the necessary things. Spending more is just personal preference but i think its not required.

My Personal Suggestion) If you want to get these i will suggest go and compare them with premium hatchbacks and save your 3-5 lakhs… I am just telling that compact SUV is Marketing gimmick... What i am saying is my personal opinion.. Compact Suv shares most of their parts with their sibling hatchbacks and not with proper SUV.. Their Tire Sizes and platforms are similar.. The turbo provides additional 20bhp power which is not a huge deal for car of that size.. If compact suv can handle it hatchback will definitely be able to handle it.. There are hatchbacks with 180+ bhp power and in India we are talking about 100-120 range.. The company tests the vehicle before launch.. I am telling this because yesterday I went to Hyundai Showroom and seen i20 and Venue side by side.. There are differences I will not deny that and Venue is definitely better.. The difference in ground clearance is just 20mm.. That 20mm will give a minor advantage not a huge advantage let it be city commutation or highway ride.. Venue is just 10mm longer 36mm wider.. its like 1cm and 3.5 cm.. That's it.. The venue has height advantage.. 60 lts boot advantage.. and thicker tires.. i20 and venue has same suspension and brake setup.. Coming to i20 it has decent boot for our requirements and good tire setup for our requirements.. The ex showroom price difference between i20 asta (top end) and venue SX optional turbo model is 2.60 lakhs and on road it will go above 3 lakhs and if we include loan interest it is another 70k to 1 lakhs, if i20 turbo comes it might be 50-70k expensive.. still the price difference is huge.. This is what i felt yesterday.. for marginally better things we have to pay 2-3 lakhs extra.. So, my opinion is to wait for turbo hatch and save 2-3 lakhs.. it will my running cost for 3 years..
Though sonet has sophisticated features and glamorous exterior compared to venue,venue will be more easy to maintain after 3_4 years of ownership,accidental repairs of sonet will be very difficult after 3-4 years of ownership
In Venue Cornerning lamp is best feature while driving in mountains and country roads. For Venue it's easy and cheap to change, upgrade and replace headlight bulbs.
Back wiper is an essential part like abs, airbags, I just don't understand why company avoid them in the lower models. Please please emphasize on this matter whenever you guys are doing a new car review. If you guys start speaking about it then only company will listen and hopefully we will start seeing the results in a year or two. Please 🙏

1. Venue scored 4* in safety compared to sonet/seltos 3 2. Price range of venue is also low compared to sonet. 3. Service network of Hyundai is far better than Kia. Not only car but spare parts waiting period is also very high. 4. Venue suspension is really good and well balanced on other hand sonet suspension is stiff only good for highway drive. 5. Bose system available only in top model but in lower varient you will get poor music system compared to venue. So considering above points this review looks like a sonet promotional review nothing else.
Exactly. You have said everything that's genuine totally 👍👍. Features won't last long and again if they get some issues- the charges increase. The cost of maintenance too would go high for Sonet and Kia as a whole. They don't have that much ease of access.
Booked HTK+ Kia Sonet....i m 6'1 and i found venue small in headroom than sonet...anyways sharmaji hw much avg u are getting in venue? Am worried about turbocharged engine is it reliable than natural aspirated engine? Clear doubts any body...
Well, it's pretty much reliable. And the engine itself is versatile, as we have seen in the Venue and the Verna. The engine is clearly tuned to make everyday usability hassle-free.

Bro according to my requirement Kia Sonnet is the winner for me I am not saying that venue to is is bad but Sonet it is offering more features than when you like ventilated front seats air purifier with virus protection remote start stop etcetera. But the one downside of Sonnet is is it don't get cooled glove box just it's a clear missing out point of Sonnet. Unless Sonnet is better than when you according to my comparison but the one who requires something it depends on him in his comparison
Bro, ventilated seat is min at HTX+, which will cost you 11.65, while same varient in venue sx(o) is 11.13. not going to pay 50k for ventilated seat and 2 inch gap of touch screen with a lose of safety features. With this, HTX+ does not have any safety features, electronic stability control, hill assist, vehicle stability control program, last but most importantly 6 air bags, which venue SX(O) have.
@@anshumansingh1059 xuv 300 doesn't. Becoz it has downsized its boot to give much space for leg room. This concept is way better than giving a humungous boot space which is rarely used upto its full capacity.

is better pic in case of driving becoz kia has stiff suspension and every bump & potholes where felt by driver... Where as in venue it is less(although venues suspension is also stiff) & backspace of venue is more comfortable for family...and cabin insulation is better in venue...
If anyone wants to go for looks they can go for sonet.... And if anyone wants comfort then go for venue

@@rohittiwari2749 yes. Fantastic car. Indeed. I got the S model. More than enough. Sum roof is just a fad and nothing else. In India, not successful due to pollution and climate. S model has all the necessary things. Spending more is just personal preference but i think its not required.

I am just telling that compact SUV is Marketing gimmick... What i am saying is my personal opinion..
Compact Suv shares most of their parts with their sibling hatchbacks and not with proper SUV..
Their Tire Sizes and platforms are similar..
The turbo provides additional 20bhp power which is not a huge deal for car of that size.. If compact suv can handle it hatchback will definitely be able to handle it.. There are hatchbacks with 180+ bhp power and in India we are talking about 100-120 range.. The company tests the vehicle before launch..
I am telling this because yesterday I went to Hyundai Showroom and seen i20 and Venue side by side..
There are differences I will not deny that and Venue is definitely better..
The difference in ground clearance is just 20mm..
That 20mm will give a minor advantage not a huge advantage let it be city commutation or highway ride..
Venue is just 10mm longer 36mm wider.. its like 1cm and 3.5 cm.. That's it..
The venue has height advantage.. 60 lts boot advantage.. and thicker tires..
i20 and venue has same suspension and brake setup..
Coming to i20 it has decent boot for our requirements and good tire setup for our requirements..
The ex showroom price difference between i20 asta (top end) and venue SX optional turbo model is 2.60 lakhs and on road it will go above 3 lakhs and if we include loan interest it is another 70k to 1 lakhs,
if i20 turbo comes it might be 50-70k expensive.. still the price difference is huge..
This is what i felt yesterday.. for marginally better things we have to pay 2-3 lakhs extra..
So, my opinion is to wait for turbo hatch and save 2-3 lakhs.. it will my running cost for 3 years..

2. Price range of venue is also low compared to sonet.
3. Service network of Hyundai is far better than Kia. Not only car but spare parts waiting period is also very high.
4. Venue suspension is really good and well balanced on other hand sonet suspension is stiff only good for highway drive.
5. Bose system available only in top model but in lower varient you will get poor music system compared to venue.
So considering above points this review looks like a sonet promotional review nothing else.
Exactly. You have said everything that's genuine totally 👍👍. Features won't last long and again if they get some issues- the charges increase. The cost of maintenance too would go high for Sonet and Kia as a whole. They don't have that much ease of access.

Well, it's pretty much reliable. And the engine itself is versatile, as we have seen in the Venue and the Verna. The engine is clearly tuned to make everyday usability hassle-free.

Bro according to my requirement Kia Sonnet is the winner for me I am not saying that venue to is is bad but Sonet it is offering more features than when you like ventilated front seats air purifier with virus protection remote start stop etcetera.
But the one downside of Sonnet is is it don't get cooled glove box just it's a clear missing out point of Sonnet. Unless Sonnet is better than when you according to my comparison but the one who requires something it depends on him in his comparison
Bro, ventilated seat is min at HTX+, which will cost you 11.65, while same varient in venue sx(o) is 11.13. not going to pay 50k for ventilated seat and 2 inch gap of touch screen with a lose of safety features.
With this, HTX+ does not have any safety features, electronic stability control, hill assist, vehicle stability control program, last but most importantly 6 air bags, which venue SX(O) have.
