I am so mad ! My warranty had just run out on my 58” ONN tv. It had horizontal lines then vertical lines and then the screen went black !! Don’t ever buy one. They are awful!

My issue was no picture just sound coming from TV so i did the 60 seconds and it worked

Thank you so much! We removed the extra items from the surge protector and unplugged it for 60 seconds. Plugged it back in solo, and it worked! (50 inch TV for $215, SAVED) 🎉

I've figured out (with my tv, not sure if this works on all the tvs but give it a try for your tv) turn on a video, any video or live tv will work, hit the settings button * > picture settings > customize picture mode > fine tune picture > and turn your backlight to 25%... I've tested this for over a month and haven't had my screen turn black since. I watched a few electricians talk about his problem and all of them have said its a lack of power to the back-lit LEDS. I tried this and it worked like a charm. Hopefully it helps with all the the other ONN roku smart tvs out there, good luck! 😁

After months of trying to see why my roku screen would go black I ended up taking my picture settings OFF of Low Power Mode and on to Standard and tried every movie and stream sight that would go black and they all work now. No more black screen. On anything

This works however it is temporary. WE FOUND SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT REPEATEDLY! BUY A ROKU STICK AND STICK IT INTO THE TV! It sounds stupid, I don't know if all onn TVs are Roku setup already but mine is. This trick would work for us to restart the TV. But the same movie or show that wouldn't play before wouldn't play again after we did this reset. My husband got this crazy idea to pull the Roku stick out of one of our other TVs and plug it into our onn TV that is having the issues. IT TOTALLY WORKS! Just be sure that you are using the apps on the Roku stick and not the actual TV. We have been able to watch the movies and shows that we could not watch before and we have been using it for about a week now with no issues at all! I hope this helps you. I know you would have to buy another Roku stick but that definitely beats buying a new TV 😁

One year and screen is black. Hmmm Sony tv I have had for seven. I guess this is why you pay a little extra in the beginning.
I've had this ONN for 15 months and used it a couple dozen times less than 2 hours each time and the screen went black, Ive had my Sanyo for 10 years and it runs almost 24-7 and it's still going strong.
my sony is 1 1/2 yr old only and gave me a fcng black screen but with audio .. i have tried everything nothing works freaking wasted my $2k 😑

Mines a day old. Bought it yesterday, fell asleep last night, woke up this morning and went to turn on Amazon prime and the screen lights up but stays black and I can still hear the audio 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Idk if anyone had this happen but for me my hdmi would only show a black screen. Come to find out when I went into the settings the visual adapter was set at standard. Change it to compatibility and hopefully it solves the issue like it did mine

@@toddlegros4263 unplug it for a while and plug it back in. This is for when your tv goes black and has video again after unplugging it, if the tv never has any video again I'm not sure if there's a fix for that
