One of the things that always keeps me coming back to your channel is the fact that when you speak you really do talk like I’m just a friend you’re having over just to shoot the breeze and what not. Too many channels that blow up feel to “formulaic” and unnatural. And also the fact that you’ve got a sweet taste in firearms to boot. 🤠
Lol. I really appreciate you, brother. I'm sure you don't have a clue about my past, but I have been fighting for gun rights for quite a while. I started the Winston County BamaCarry over 10 years ago and we're still at it today. Many up hill battles against self-righteous people, politicians, and governments. I've educated many and left a few sitting in their own ignorance. Chalking them up to what they are... Just like Ten Bears said. There is iron in your words.
Rant on …..its always entertaining, and you got me reloading again after 17 years, with my old Lee Single Stage Loader, getting ready to try .45 Colt.😎⚓️🇺🇸
I appreciate the way you present yourself on this channel. When you speak in terms of "talking to us like friends/brothers" that resonated with me. I too have outlived many of my friends and I tend to view (some) youtubers as friends who are invited into my home on a regular basis. That said, I feel like I know you a little bit, but you don't know me. So here's a little something... I was born in 1973 so I believe we are close in age. I'm also from Alabama. I was born at Fort Rucker and my people are mostly from that area: Enterprise, Elba, Dothan. I lived most of my life in Pensacola, Florida and currently my wife and I live outside Tallahassee, where she is from, but we spend a lot of time in Alabama. My weapon of choice is a Fender Stratocaster, but since some folks need more convincing than that, I've got a 1966 Smith & Wesson model 28-2 chambered in .357 magnum with a 6-inch barrel. It was my father's sidearm in Vietnam. He bought it after his first tour. He was a combat helicopter pilot and an officer and as such he was issued a 1911 for a sidearm. He very much liked the 1911 but he thought a wheel gun might offer a tad more reliability in the tropical environment that they were operating in over there. Especially during the monsoon season. After that, the magnum spent the next 50 odd years in dad's nightstand until he passed about 2 years ago. It was the gun he taught me to shoot on and so I've got a certain comfort with it. We aren't an open carry state, but I don't have too much trouble going CCW with it. Unless it's a thousand degrees and I have to get creative with clothing choices. As far as your content is concerned, I love the channel. I've got plenty of channels I can watch for all manner of things that interest me, but you are one of the handful that feels a little closer to home. It's funny, you always thank us for "tolerating" your rants and such but honestly, I could handle more. I enjoy your discussions on the state of affairs in our nation, and more often than not we agree. I also appreciate that you seem to have a interest in history. Hell, I wish I could hang out and talk Civil War with you. It's always refreshing to find folks who understand that we've been propagandized to hell and gone about that war as well as the events leading up to it and the reconstruction era that followed. My 3rd great grandfather served with the 5th Alabama Infantry until he was wounded. He caught some grapeshot in the thigh at Chancellorsville. Two of his brothers, my great uncles died in that war. One was serving with the 1st Alabama when he was captured at Fort Morgan. He died in the prison camp in Elmira, NY. The other one died serving with the 33rd Alabama Infantry at Perryville KY. As far as I know he died from a gunshot wound and was in a mass grave on the battlefield there. These fellers never owned any slaves, and I can't imagine they gave a damn about the aristocracy who did. Rather when Lincoln decided to raise an army to murder Americans, they did what any of us would do if we gave half a shit about our homes and families. Most importantly these men were my family and I'll be damned if I'm going to allow some shitbag Marxist dishonor them. Anyway... I could go on for quite a while, but I better stop there, I don't mean to take up too much of your time. I just wanted to reciprocate a little bit and say that I for one am here for what you are doing. Take care brother.
I lost my best friend a few years ago. And we always said there are plenty of smucks out there. I worry about nothing but family and close friends. Tonight I raise my glass to you and maybe some day with you. Carry on. In more ways than one.

I agree with you 💯 percent brother and love the channel hell I have even been known to carry my 1858 Colt when I went to town if someone don't like it that's cool that's their right but like you said the minute they say something about it. I enjoy getting to hang out with you. I'm pretty close to your age I don't have friends outside of my wife and kids and a few people at work. I chose to be a responsible father and provider for my family and it cost me my friends along the way. Not complaining wouldn't change anything. It is amazing how the world changed and especially after covid. People are afraid of other people now. It's almost dangerous to strike up a conversation with a random person while in line at the store. People think that their way is the right way and everyone else that is different is wrong and stupid. OC is great, it desensitizes people to seeing firearms in a positive or at least neutral context instead of ONLY seeing guns when something bad happens or in movies
Well I guess that I have to get on here and comment as well. I started watching your channel about a year ago and I enjoy your style and the content that you produce. As far as approaching an individual carrying an exposed firearm, "open carry", I think that Darwin's theory will sort that problem out soon enough. There is a fellow that I see here occasionally in my little town that likes to dress in the "Old West" style and his choice of carry is the 1851 Colt Navy and yes it is capped and ready. So far I've never seen anyone at Walmart confront him about carrying. Mostly just a smile and a polite nod. As to your channel I think that it will grow to the height of it's capability, what ever that is. Continue the march.
Excellent thoughts, and advice to those that think they know it all. It’s bad enough you have to fight with the anti 2nd’s but to have to argue with pro 2nd’s just because they don’t like the way you’re “correctly” carrying that’s just plain rude and wrong. Rock on, we’re with ya!
I learn a lot from your channel. I haven't shot as many guns, and I'm no wanna-be Mr. Tactical. So for me, when I come here, I feel like I'm visiting an acquaintance who I like to learn from. And I like that your videos are casual and going at my speed.
I support open carry, and I support carrying a weapon which you are tactically and technically proficient with. For you its a good ol' wheel gun, for me its my 9mm like I carried in the sandbox. I appreciate that your honest in your opinions and that when you "rant" its done like a southern gentleman. God Bless and keep on keepin' on.
I understand you, brother. I kinda like being a small shadow banned channel that only shows up for people who want to watch it. That's what makes it fun. Your videos provide a topic for conversation and entertainment. You do meet some weirdos, though. I had one commenter that claimed my aiming at the camera gave him post-traumatic stress 😆. Keep doing what you're doing, brother. It's real, and that's what makes it special. 👍

I’ll open carry when I want too. Problem in Texas is many place post code 30.06 and 30.07. Part of Texas Penal Code. Like the Mall in Houston prohibits open or concealed carry
Been my favorite channel for a few years now. We run parallel in a lot of things you say. I don’t comment enough but keep up the great work. Pass the bottle of Dickel son. AKA NCGunguy from Gunstreamer.
You are exactly right. Putting on a high moral demeanor doesn’t make someone better than the next guy. Some people are just too full of themselves to see any other point of view that differs from their own. I like your video content btw. I like the simple approach that doesn’t seem like I just turned on some TV show. I can do without the flashy intros and gimmicks and click bait thumbnails too. Keep doin what you’re doin.
Lordy, We all need to get used to the idea that many folks have opinions, and some will want it force fed. This is what this country used to be, you do you and I’ll do me.
Keep doing what (you) do, very well enjoy your content, I'm old fashioned, I enjoy the truth even it it taps me on something, it ok, only make you better, and also some of this bs flowing around does need to be addressed, some don't know and better, we keep supporting you, happy new year! 1-1-25
Not a bad "rant". Years ago when the Internet was new... barely out of it's Arpanet stage, I ran what was then called a "webzine". It never really got all that big, but at my peak, I had more people visit each month than Jesus had in his Earthly ministry. This kind of put things in perspective for me, so I tried to do my best. Got in a sort of flame war with the local Satanists and discovered how far gone our society was even twenty some years ago. You keep up the good works! I don't have a Ruger .41 YET. Might attempt to fix that soon.
I hate that it's that way...but it is, no matter what I like. It's almost gone and the trend is going that way, solidly. Its up to us that don't fear labels like "outlaw" to ride, shoot straight, and speak the truth....no matter who likes or dislikes it.
I am all about being polite, respectful and nice. I am glad to grip and grin with anyone, that being said if you want it to stay that way stay in your lane. If I am doing something you perceive as dangerous politely let me know and we can address it. Should it be merely your preference you can state it and we might even discuss it in a friendly manner but do not try to enforce it or believe it to be the only way.

Plowboy I listen to ur channel cause you are an interesting fella that likes to sling bull-lots down range same as me. Ya always seem to have some story to tell over a beer. U'd be welcome at our camp anytime.
Thank you for your opinion, it's much appreciated. I don't have a problem with anyone's opinion, but I can't stand someone berating me for having an opposing opinion. I like all firearms, I just prefer the older firearms because that's what I grew up with. We didn't have semiautomatic firearms in my family. We had revolvers, pump guns, bolt action rifles and shotguns, single shot rifles and shotguns. The fanciest rifles we had, and still have is lever guns.
Love your videos! And yes you are a cool dude. After watching most of your videos I bought a 45 LC Taylors & Co Pietta with 5.5 inch barrel with a case hardened frame and I am loving this gun. Now it is my everyday carry instead of my M&P 9mm. I am enjoying the cowboy loads and I do not load my own so I am using HSM Cowboy action cartridges. Question, these rounds have small primers instead of large primers like used in other rounds like Hornady which is more money, does it matter?
Excellent and well spoken brother i could not agree more however i do have a question i recently shelled out alot of Ben Franklin's for a new Anaconda and looking for a holster what you recommend Sir? thanks again
Lot of people dont consider you can pair your favorite revolver cartridge with a lever action chambered in the same cartridge and if you reload you can get a lot more performance out of the round.
Before Connecticut banned open carry, I carried my 1911 on my right hip. Most guys would come up to me and give me the thumbs up. But unfortunately now I’m restricted by the communist state of CT to conceal my pistol. I’m still carrying, just not where anyone can see it. I stand with you! Any responsible citizen that wants to carry open or concealed is great in my opinion.
Well… as you can already see from the other comments, there’s a reason we’re all here hanging out with ‘ya. No need to explain your position to us, we’re likeminded!
I suggest to people in Florida that they wear carry related shirts, or hats. It will get the point across that you are carrying without risking arrest. I live in NC, an open carry state, so I OC, but I also CC a pocket gun.
Thank you for saying this as I'm also pretty fed up with the tactical ninjas on boob tube advising to carry simi auto pistols in their pants with a hot round in the chamber .... And Love your 4-5/8 barrel ,41 cal Ruger blackhawk ! I carry the same rig in .357 .👍
Your videos are like me leaning on a fencepost talking to one of my younger neighbors about shooting, or the last big hog one of us shot on our places. Here in Texas we are open, or concealed carry state. I try to go concealed whenever possible just to avoid attention. (There are some whimpy folks that freak out about an armed citizen). However, if I choose to carry a 45 Colt SAA, well it's in a finely made belt holster on my hip. And if I see another citizen with his or her weapon on their hip, I'll nod my head to the men folk, and tip my hat to the ladies. They get it. But if some pinhead ever started in on me like you described, I'd just tell him to kiss my rebel ass, and walk away. 😒
I am an old guy who carries a revolver with iron sights. I wish Florida would legalize open carry. DeSantis talks about freedom in FL but that’s a lie.
They can keep their fancy guns. I'll stick to my old school wheel gun.
Amen.
Do you still drive a model T as well?? "Fancy guns" what is a fancy gun?? Tech changes.

Who's Garrett?
@irregularrex4004 Garrett Woods, from his channel. Also a member of 11bangbang
@@Pork_Chomping_Crusader Thank you🍻
Don’t go changing, I like your approach and content.
Very kind of you to say.
Really enjoyed the video. Please keep them coming. Thanks
Thank you.
Just subscribed to your channel. I love the wheel guns and I have lived in Alabama my whole life. Enjoy your videos
Thanks!
I appreciate you for being you. I hear the truth and wisdom in you. Thank you for what you do. I enjoy our chats! keep it up bother. Cheers!
Very well said I'm with you 💯 percent .
Thank you.
Thanks for what you doing. Please keep up the good work.
Thank you, for watching.
Great channel and I enjoy your videos. Keep it up!
Thank you 🥃
I understand you, brother.
That was probably the same guy who went nuts about my pointing at the camera, too😁.
Thanks, brother.
Keep doing you brother I love it
God bless and keep ya powder dry from the Florida panhandle
Thank you, very much 👍
LOVE THE VIDEOS PLOWBOY.KEEP THEM COMING,I LOVE THE SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS.I CARRY A RUGER SUPER BLACKHAWK 4.58INCH BARREL 44MAG AND RECENTLY PICKED UP A THREE SCREW BLACKHAWK 357 MAG 6.5 INCH BARREL THAT CARRY ALSO.
Sweet guns...and thank you🍻
I’ll open carry when I want too. Problem in Texas is many place post code 30.06 and 30.07. Part of Texas Penal Code. Like the Mall in Houston prohibits open or concealed carry
Luckily, in Alabama, those signs on 99.9% of places don't carry the force of law.
If it’s concealed, who would know?
I don't like "plastic fantastics." I'll stick to my wheelie.
Good morning!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸

Thank you sir very good talk don't change always great to visit
Loved the video
@@jameschurch4707 Thank you
Your a good man Friend,...... keep up the great content and commentary.
Thank you, much.🍻
Been my favorite channel for a few years now.
Amen🍻
Love yah brother, well said, you remind me of me
Much appreciated 🥃
Carry the way you want ,and as many as you want.

Have fun with it, and be happy.
Keep doing what (you) do, very well enjoy your content, I'm old fashioned, I enjoy the truth even it it taps me on something, it ok, only make you better, and also some of this bs flowing around does need to be addressed, some don't know and better, we keep supporting you, happy new year! 1-1-25
Keep it real my friend. Love your videos.
Thank you🍻
Not a bad "rant".
Still can't get over beginning......52 here and lost 3 best friends 2020. It's strange thing getting older. More good things around NXT corner👍
I am all about being polite, respectful and nice. I am glad to grip and grin with anyone, that being said if you want it to stay that way stay in your lane. If I am doing something you perceive as dangerous politely let me know and we can address it. Should it be merely your preference you can state it and we might even discuss it in a friendly manner but do not try to
enforce it or believe it to be the only way.
That's how I see it, too. Thanks.
Watched all the videos on the Cimarron (Pietta)Frontier SAA clone .45 Colt, was the action and trigger that good out of the box? Are did you have a trigger job done?
Some are better than others. The Uberti guns are typically heavier actioned than the Piettas gun...when they aren't "tuned" models.
@@plowboysghostMakes since, i was trying to figure out if I should have it tuned or not. I figure if it is that nice out of the box, then should i get tuned? is it worth it to tune them?
@@jray7577 I've never had any aftermarket tuning done...but I've had one tuned model from Taylor's that felt as nice as a buddy's tuned Cimarron Evil Roy.
I do some polishing at home and call it a day
@@plowboysghostPerfect you answered my question, keep the Hammer down my Brother!!!!
Good talk.
Thanks 👍
Some folks just don’t want to get along.
Ain't that the truth!

I wise man once said, like your wife, love your work. I think you should stay focused on the fun of what you do. Dont let it get bogged down in politics, or other daily grind. Have fun with it, and i think youll be alright.
Thank you.
Hey Brother, keep the faith. You put out great content. keep going. BTW the 41 mag is the most underrated American cartridge!
Plowboy I listen to ur channel cause you are an interesting fella that likes to sling bull-lots down range same as me. Ya always seem to have some story to tell over a beer. U'd be welcome at our camp anytime.
Very kind of you 🍻
Keep up the great work
Your the real deal.
Very kind of you to say.
I've got a few pieces of.45 Colt brass that use SP primers. I haven't loaded them, but as far as I know, they will work fine.
Thanks!
You're not just an old friend, you are an old friend with a cool beard. BTW 45 Colt is my favorite caliber for concealed carry or any other purposes.
I like your channel because you have never tried to sell me anything
@@MichaelHayes-uj9od Thank you
Excellent and well spoken brother i could not agree more however i do have a question i recently shelled out alot of Ben Franklin's for a new Anaconda and looking for a holster what you recommend Sir? thanks again
I found that the new Anaconda fits a holster for a Taurus 608 very well. Thank you,
🍻
@plowboysghost Thank you Sir 😊 🙏
I would love to meet you in person. Really enjoy your videos. I am a true single action fan mostly Blackhawks.
Thank you
Just made me a fan!

Well… as you can already see from the other comments, there’s a reason we’re all here hanging out with ‘ya.

🤠👍
I wish I could open carry in Florida. I just received my Diamond D chest holster for my Super Blackhawk.
I carry the same rig in .357 .👍
I'm right there with you. Thanks..and congrats on a fine taste in firearms 🍻
i agree with you.
Are you going to make a video about your Tuco revolver?
I am an old guy who carries a revolver with iron sights. I wish Florida would legalize open carry. DeSantis talks about freedom in FL but that’s a lie.
Yeah, I look at him sideways, myself. He's too polished for me
