    Hands down the best video on how to do it, with all things that will go wrong

    Easy to understand and shows effort you have to put in replacing it.

    Thanks, I must have watched your video 5 times before actually doing the job. Heating up the loctite with a blow torch helps a ton with this. Car is so much quieter since installing. Without concise videos like yours, I would have been lost. Thanks a ton. I bought a FAG wheel bearing kit, which had replacement bolts with loctite 270 on them already.

      I am glad that video helped you. FAG parts are quality. Its good to change the bolts with the new which is nice you got new one with the part. You are right, without torch heating the bolts can be hard to remove. Appreciate your feedback.

    You could have used a heat gun to loosen the locktite. Heat to 50 degrees celsius. Apart from that, great guide.

      I did not had heat gun at that time. But yeah, heat helps alot. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

    How many nm did you tightened the bolts ?

    • @carrepairandtoolsvideos
      @carrepairandtoolsvideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it was 120 Nm for wheel bearing bolts. Red thread lock is also recommended for these bolts.

    Very nice video but don't buy the "Ridex" or "Stark" brands from autodoc they are chinesium crap, get good bearings like FAG, SKF, NTN, Timken etc.

      I was on budget so I bought the cheapest I can get. But I thought Stark is good. Next time, I will avoid these chinesium.

    Is the same for x drive models?

      I wouldn't say exactly same but pretty much same principle rather.
