Actually, Tim's an Oklahoma native (from Tulsa). The accent's probably wasn't too arduous for him to pull off as Buster Scruggs.

A cowboy who can sing, play guitar and talk to his horse. It doesn't get much better than that.
Amazing how he had the western drawl and language down 'spot on'. Was strange to hear how he really talks.

The first segment, the Buster Scruggs segment was comedy genius, it was perfect in my opinion and it was played perfectly by Mr. Tim Blake Nelson. Bravo sir! I would love a "prequel" of just Buster and his adventures.

Love the movie. I have to watch it at least once or twice every six months or so. Tim, you were Fabulous! They chose the right man for the part. I'm getting ready to right my uncle who is doing a little stretch in the slammer; he's the one that turned me on to Buster. I'm gonna add the lyrics for him and a few of our favorite lines; just to add a little joy to his otherwise gloomy day behind the iron bars. He'll enjoy it and probably shed a tear or two remembering our times watching it together. I look forward to one day being able to enjoy it with him again, once he has served his time. Tim, you're Great. We love ya, San Saba Songbird.

Masterclass in movie making! For the first few minutes I was convinced that Buster was being played by Matthew McConaughey. I loved that character - so many subtle mannerisms. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

The movie covered a lot of ground so many things to think about.

I would watch a full movie of buster but do not expect to see one. It would be incredible hard to scrip it. The flow and magic would be almost impossible to keep going go an hour, let alone two. The setup was perfect. Any longer and the magic would start to drag. I for one would love to hear an entire album of the old western songs done by the actor. The other singer sounded so artificial made his singing sound that much more real. I laughed my head off when he slapped the dust off of himself and it was a white cloud. Also his dancing could have not been better in curly joe.
Insightful questions and an enjoyable interview all round. When the interviewee's enjoying it, it's a job well done.
The biggest mistake the Coen Brothers will have ever made In their career is not making a full movie with Buster Scruggs.
Buster Scruggs reminds me of a darker version of the comic book character Lucky Luke.

It is so weird hearing him speak without that heavy drawl. I think he needs to just speak like Buster Scruggs and Delmar O'Donnell all the time so my perceptions aren't crashed. Haha

I only watched because I was given my grandfather's name; so my whole extended family called me buster for the first 18 years of my life on the holidays instead. Lucky me, right.
Well this is strange. His normal voice sounds nothing like buster Scruggs, but his buster Scruggs voice sounds like a slightly more southern version of his character in “Holes.” So he made the conscious choice to dust off his dr. Pendanski voice from holes.

Either Woody's or Garrett's characters I think. He is considered as a typecast character actor for western roles mostly in his career or for as long as I've watched his stuff in movies or tv shows. He's considerably better than most modern day actors but I'm a 90s kid. IMHO ofc only he could have these many accents for the south side of character actors perspective even if it ain't even true 😂

Yes, the character of Buster Scruggs would be a good friend, but you would not want to be his enemy. at the death of Buster sgruggs as he is rising to heaven he states how the new place he is going is waaay better than here, and he will be in a new place where men dont cheat in cards and how people did bad things in the past days here..
It’s a good movie, but Buster could have folded. No money of his own was on the line. There may be no escaping the reaper, but it doesn’t follow that one has to be eager to take up the figurative scythe and do the lazy bastard’s work for him.
