I made a variation of this dish for my dad last night. I used chicken breast instead of thighs, and used green pepper and onions instead of lima beans. However, I used the same sauce and rice. My dad loved it! I would not have thought to try it had I not seen this video. Thanks for posting!
Nice. I will try the sauce. Just one thing. Those prepare rice packets are expensive. Since that cooked for 8 hours, how about using dry rice - with the appropriate amount of water/ broth. Anyway thanks always for the great videos.
Great idea about the rice, but I have found that uncooked rice doesn't come out very good in the hot logic because I believe that it doesn't come up to a high enough temperature to boil the rice. The hot logic cooks with a low temperature. I just never had good luck with uncooked rice, it's still hard when the rest of the food is done. You could, however precook the dry rice and add it instead of the uncle bens packets. Thanks for commenting, I like the way you think!
Hey, Kathy! That dinner looks delicious! Might have to try it myself sometime. I'm guessing it can also be made in a slow cooker, too. Thanks for sharing! Lorna
Yes, absolutely. You can use a slow cooker. Low setting if you want it to cook about 8 hours, or higher if you don't have as much time to let it cook. Thanks for your Comment, Lorna!
Yes, it is sooo good. I highly recommend the sauce. And they have other flavors you might like too. I also bought Mango Curry, and there are several tempting kinds of simmering sauces on the shelf made by Patak's
Hi Kathy! How are you? All I can say is; "WINNER WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER"! I now know what is for dinner tonight! THANK YOU! Gerry 😎 PS: We are related! We havd the same "Uncle Ben". LOL! 😁
that looks delicious Kathy... luv the lima beans. Have you ever tried the Aldi Indian jarred sauces for $1.99? they're pretty good for the price. We add cauliflower.
ms.kathy,GOOD BUTTER CHICKEN COOKING IN THE LOGIC THE FOOD LOOKS DELICIOUS AND SCRUMPTIOUS GOOD VIDEO 👍, YOU MA'AM AND YOUR LITTLE FAMILY HAVE A GOOD REST OF YOUR SUNDAY MORNING AFTERNOON AND EVENING REGARDLESS TAKE CARE!WITH RESPECT OG MR.MOLINA SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA 619!👊💪🍺
Not necessary or recommended to wash the chicken because: 1) studies show that splatter that occurs from washing the chicken widely contaminates not only the sink, but surrounding counter tops, backsplash, clothing of food preparer, etc. 2) The food cooked in the Hot Logic reaches the safe temp of 165℉, so the pathogenic bacteria will be killed It IS necessary, however, that the food preparer thoroughly wash hands & any surfaces or utensils that came into contact with the raw chicken or its wrappings.
Awesome! Love this recipe! A definite must try!

This looks really good Kathy! Did the fat render in the hot logic?
Yes, It cooked through and through and the fat from the chicken flavored the ricew, along with the Curry sauce.
Once again you made me hungry! That sound sooo good! Love that Hot Logic!
Thanks a million!
Hi Kathy! Looks yummy and easy. Just what I need. Thanks.
Looks very appetizing. I have used that particular sauce before very tasty and not a hot type of sauce. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your nice comment, Margo. Yes, the sauce is really tasty without being too spicy.

Yum Kathy. I am going to make this in my small hot logic. One question tho. Is the jarred butter chicken sauce that good?
Yes, it is sooo good. I highly recommend the sauce. And they have other flavors you might like too. I also bought Mango Curry, and there are several tempting kinds of simmering sauces on the shelf made by Patak's
Is there a way to set the temp on the Hot Logic?
No, there is one temperature setting, it's on a low setting. It's good for warming food, keeping things warm and slow cooking.
Is it spicy?
was the butter chicken thighs with rice and lima beans good kathy in the hot logic
Yes, Scotty, it really was very good! Thanks for watching my videos!
that good kathy lol
That looks great Kathy, minus the Lima beans. I’d have to substitute with green peas maybe. I just can’t do Lima’s ... 🤣
Peas are the best combination. That's what they had at the Indian Buffet that we went to. Enjoy!
Looks delicious 😋
Thanks, Karen!
Yum, I love Indian food AND butter chicken!! Such an easy way to prepare it ♥ Thanks, Kathy ;)
Thank you! Sometimes it's worth a lot for those convenient short cuts. This was a really tasty sauce.

No, I haven't tried the Aldi brand of indian sauces, but thanks for the heads up. I'll pick some up this weekend. Thanks a lot, Susan!
Hi Kathy, your chicken looks spicy and delicious.
Thanks, it was a great blend of spices. Thanks for your comment!
