Your mounts failed for the same reason mine did......a move in winter to a completely new environment. The bark I use comes from sustainable sources in the EU (mainly Portugal and Spain)

I think maybe you're confusing cinnamon swirls and cinnamon buns/rolls? Swirls are made with filo-type pastry & are individual, rolls/buns are made with a yeast dough & often (but not always) baked communally in high sided roasting pan & then cut into individual sections.
