I never realized how well this fit Reyna until now! I haven't read Tyrant's Tomb yet but I know she joins the Hunters. I know people are mad about it because Rick just seems to throw every girl who's single into the Hunters but for Reyna I think it really fits! She's been forced to be perfect her whole life but now she's free. I just think it really fits her! This is amazing! I audibly gasped when I saw it my recommend. You have a new subscriper!

Now I’m imagining Surface Pressure with Percy as Luisa and Nico as Mirabel and the song talks about Percy and his trauma of all the friends he lost in the first war and the next and he still has the curse of Achilles in this, or is going to retrieve it again, because he feels he can’t protect his loved ones without it, and it’s talking about how Percy id always the one chosen in prophecies and the protector and how he can’t break down because other people need him first and Everytime he did break down people were lost (and it hints at himself majorly blaming himself for Bianca’s death, he still can’t move on) and how he’s putting all the effort to try and protect Nico this time around because he can’t lose him to, and just. The brother sibling relationship in this song, also the Hercules symbolism on how Percy chooses not to be like Hercules, it just. It fits. I want to see it.
My first thought when watching that part with Nico hold the flyer was that he was thinking about Bianca. She died because she joined the hunters and went on the quest. Safe to say my heart broke and then was quickly mended by Reyna and Nico being adorable 🥰

First of all I love your style and how you've drawn Nico and Reyna essentially having fun, full of joy and hope for the future, almost without a care! Until now I've never thought of it but Reyna's struggles really do resonate with Isabela's and the way you portrayed them was so on point! Second, I love the choice of Nico in the same role as Mirabel, bc it gives us the chance to watch him as he experiences a sister leaving to join the Hunters again but this time he actually gets to learn her motivations, understand them and support her unlike he wasn't able to do with Bianca. In conclusion!!! I love this animatic so much!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!! ♡♡♡
As someone who started crushing on Reyna as soon as she was introduced I think her joining the hunters made a lot of sense. I read trials of Apollo for a bit but stopped at the tyrants tomb because I just couldn’t focus on the series but I’m considering finishing the it anyway. Great animatic, I really enjoyed it

I can really see Nico being so hurt by Reyna's choice to join the Hunters. Especially since we know in BoO that he still holds a grudge against them for Bianca and he got so jealous/scared that Reyna would join when they encountered them. But I can also see himself realising that this is what makes Reyna happy and forcing himself to let her go. I haven't read the Sun and the Star yet but I hope it touches on this.
