it also depends on how many times he told the story before giving a presentation. if you hear the same thing over and over again then are expected to sit though a presentation with the same information. it gets dull. plus when it's just an ego trip no one wants to hear about it. this wasn't presenting facts it was just him gloating and boasting.

This episode had very disturbing undertones that really should make every person watching, look to their morals , see just what the human race has become and how we got to this position . No, holograms do not beam. They need holo emitters to function. If those are present, you can just activate the hologram program at that location. If they are not, then that hologram cannot go there. Doc is an exception because he's got the mobile emitter, which allows him to go anywhere and that thing CAN be beamed over.
I also never figured out why Data had so much trouble achieving sentience, yet apart from some social inadequacies, which seemed to be working as designed judging from his creator, the Doctor seemed to have no problems at all and he wasn't even designed for it unlike Data
