      Juho- you had SEVERAL cards in the running for top 25. Your collection is outstanding.

    • @ACD1994
      @ACD1994 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MidLifeCards What defines a collection that is outstanding? Just scarce and expensive items?
      This is part of the reason why I asked you about tips, for people who have not made videos, BUT also not having cards that cost, a thousand dollars...
      Fortunately, Jason- Everyday Collector made a video on that. I don't know why Sammy and Jason would want me on their live-stream, but it's nice to be invited somewhere... after being in the community as a commenter and viewer... for 4 and, a half years.
      😅But, really I think it's my fault for watching these videos of the high-end cards.
      Congrats Juho on an amazing card! Bill Russell, is one of the GOATS!

    • @juhosevic
      @juhosevic 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ACD1994 seems the scarce/high value stuff naturally gets defined as a “big” pick up for the majority of collectors? The Russel was not top 3 of my most biggest pickups on a personal level. Had several $1-$100 cards that were bigger pickups for my PC. Lots of hidden value, literally and figuratively, on less “in-demand” cards. Outstanding can be personal and/or a consensus to the “high-demand”

    • @ACD1994
      @ACD1994 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@juhosevicRight. I think you state it very well, actually. There's nothing wrong with a $1,000 card. But, a $100 dollar card, while not as expensive...can be just as, or even more so meaningful. And, to me that doesn't make, a card or collection not outstanding. Maybe just different? Special and unique in it's own way, I don't know how to really put it, lol. Thanks for understanding...I know most people love these ''museum cards'' videos, so I am probably in the minority, maybe. This is something I struggle with; however, I don't have the museum cards...
      But, I do appreciate the history of the sport, and understand the significance of the cards in the video.

    • @juhosevic
      @juhosevic 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ it’s almost like unintentional card collecting peer pressure in a way to agree with what is a big card. Lots of scarce and rookie cards naturally become what is “big” to hobbyists. My cheaper Barry sanders refractor and then getting it auto’ed alongside my daughter (who got to meet my childhood idol) is gonna be #1 pickup for a while

    Wow congrats on Captain Tew and Howell Davis. I can’t wait to someday see all 50 together when you complete. Beautiful Mordecai Brown colors pop as they do on all your T206s.
    RBI and RBI2 was a huge part of my college years. Cool gets.
    The community had a great year - thanks for taking the time to put this together. Honored that the Musial rookie I bought at The National made the cut. I will start submitting as Brad S each month to separate form the Brad that has the Williams, Ford and likely the nicer collection - I covet his ‘54 Bowman Williams and hope to get it in a 6. Great cards by all with Dave and Petty really adding incredible cards.

    Wow, absolutely love the vintage Nintendo games Graig! Really took me back to my childhood; I actually started out on a system called an Intellivion, then the Atari, Nintendo, Sega Genesis. Tecmo Bowl was my favorite, used to flip a coin for choice of team or to be player 1 or 2; so either you got the Raiders with Bo and Marcus, or you had to go right to left which was a little more awkward!!

    Very nice additions to your Pirate collection. I did not know that Brown had that injury. I love knowing little things like that. You and I grew up in the same time period and I too, am a muppet fan and video game fan. The Muppet movie that was the best was the Christmas special where they had the Muppets and Sesame Street (and maybe even Fraggles) at Fozzie’s mom’s house. They don’t show it anymore because apparently there was a copyright issue with some of the songs they used.
    Those Nintendo games are great too! I remember all of them! Tecmo Bowl was awesome. I think I played that and Contra the most! I still remember the cheat code for Contra🤣. Thanks for the video!

    Even though it's Mickey Mantle; the '51 Bowman his 'real' rookie card. Is such a great card. I like the Whitey Ford as well. He doesn't seem to have as much hobby love, though that was an expensive pick up. Granted it's in high-grade. So I get it I guess. This community picks up a lot of gems. Congrats on your picks ups as well. Mordecai Brown pitching with 4 and a half fingers...and, pitching effectively is bonkers! 3 fingers is a much awesome nick name. This is a pretty cool monthly pickup video... 2 Pirate cards (awesome!), a Mordecai Brown T206 (amazing!), 2 sealed packs of The Muppet Show cards (whoa, sweet!), and then 4 CIB NES games (and 2 black box games, if we're counting -- yes, Graig, come join the NES collector community, mwahaha -- I might be biased, but I feel like you definitely need a copy of "Baseball Stars" too).... Edit- I will add to that. Me and my brother were Joshing around and I told him I bought another baseball card and he said "What a Yount?" And he was totally joking because he knows who I collect and Yount would not be my top pick. Quite a coincidence.
