Thanks for this hack - I ordered mine today. I also just subscribed so I can follow your progress with the OP3. I recently sold my Blackmagic cameras and am now filming corporate videos with two OP3s. There are some challenges, but so far I'm happy with these amazingly versatile little cameras.

Manny, i dont see anyone on youtube more likely to do a comparison review then u can do it, its a bout the continous hi powered rgb cob lights,i mean the hi powered ones,like the one from aputure 300,colbor 220, trolifo 180 and the godox 300 , aplicable in studio lighting with softboxes,direct light,used combined with flash,used with gobos and other things,it whold be a great video from a great creator

There is a phone holder that mounts to the side (vs in front) that would solve the issue of blocking the Pocket 3 screen
Genius idea!
The only problem with wearing sunglasses is it hides your eyes from your natural audience and lowers the point of engagement. It's like staring at a poker player, who covers their eyes so their opponents in the game cannot read their true intentions. I get you logic, and yes it solves one problem, but creates another imho. I wonder if there is a way to get those words to appear on the small OP3 screen itself ? Perhaps such a program option could be added via a firmware update to the OSMO Pocket 3 ? Now THAT would really be something ! 🤔😲🎬😃 This feature could be added to the Mimo app and somehow the Mimo app would transmit the typed in text file to the OSMO Pocket Screen itself ! How cool would that be ? 👌👌👌👌

Manny, if you get the extended battery for the Pocket 3, your camera will clear the top of your phone. It'll make it tall enough that you won't see it in frame anymore. 👍🏿

Manny in the past week Ive bought the 16-35gmii 20mm 1.8 viltrox 16 1.8 tamron 17-28 and 11 1.8 apsc sony. Im trying to find the perfect wide angle lens for my a7iv. but then I stumbled on to the dji pocket 3. Im leaning towards the 17-28 because its the lightest but in my opinion sharpness goes to any of the other lenses. do you have any feedback on whether I should choose one of these lenses or just get the pocket 3? Thanks!

I have one and ..... yes ..... you need sunglasses .... with the side mounted rig, you also need glasses.
Keep in mind vertical video Pocket 3 is 2.7k not 4K

@@nickguzman1734 yeah I love Casey and I guess that's a good point. He connected with the audience and he wore sunglasses almsot all the time.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I watch a video and the person keeps looking at himself in the monitor, it annoys the daylights out of me. In my opinion it comes across as being very self-centered. In saying this, I do find myself doing it as well at times to check my framing is good.
@@Squidpaws- yeah I normally use a camera or the DJI Pocket 3 and just look right at the lens however I could use a little help getting through some scripts. I might try the sunglasses trick.

I appreciate your video, but I have to say, wearing sunglasses as a presenter is really not a good idea. The eyes are the gateway to the soul. I would 100% say it disconnects folks to not see your eyes when you are presenting.
