Being a Kannadiga I have watched this film in a theatre in Bangalore some 35 years ago. SVRs towering personality, powerful dialogue delivery, extraordinary acting et al had mesmerised me. SVR is one and the only one. One would feel that creator had specially designed this gentleman for those special roles as also to provide us unalloyed entertainment. At the age of 65, when again I watched the above scene in youtube, my bliss and beatitude was inexplicable. May the Creator condescend to again generate such actors and place them on our Planet Earth.

Even though I had been from Karnataka and Kannadiga I have seen this clip more than 1000times becz no ever actor performed nor equal to him the greatest of all time . NS Murty garu from Rajahmundry is the producer of this film. Bapu, is the director, they are elders and I know them personally though i was boy at that time. The entire shooting of this scene was completed by great SVR in single takes in one night. Dubbing apart. I am told that great SVR was on heavy drinks on that date of shooting. Director wanted to stop shooting as he felt that he can not act. But, SVR insisted to act, though on drinks. Excellent performance of acting by great SVR. we have not such an actor till now after Great SVR.
Sir, why would he go on sets after drinking so heavily. I mean we know how disciplined our before actors were.

I don't know because I am of 29. But in Mahanati movie there is a scene a where a AD asks him why is he revising script paper when he doesn't have that habit. Off course this movie and scene was dedicated to Savitri garu but I guess this scene gives us idea of him.
