That looks tasty. I like cheese and shell fish. I hate May, but my momma made me eat it on sandwiches as a kid.

Ty so much for this! My little one has a dairy allergy too so it’s so great to find some good, SEASONED meals for him. Some of those vegan recipes are sooo gross lol and you’re right, something is off with the dairy free cheese😅😅

You’re very welcome! Seasoning is much needed with some dairy free recipes! The smell and taste of dairy free cheese grosses me out, but my kid loves it! She doesn’t know any different lol. Nutritional yeast adds a cheesy, nutty flavor that I think is a good replacement to the cheese (depending on the recipe). It also depends on the brand of cheese. Let me know if there are any other meals you’d like to see made dairy free.

      Ingredients:
      1 pound of shrimp
1 cup of broccoli (thawed and chopped)
3 cups of dairy-free heavy cream
1/4 cup (approx) of nutritional yeast
      1 tablespoon of butter
Cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon of cornstarch + 2 tablespoons of cold water)
      Garlic (minced)
      Olive oil
      Adobo Seasoning
      Old Bay Seasoning
      Garlic powder
      Onion powder
      Black pepper
      Smoked paprika
      Dairy-Free Parmesan (optional)
Pasta of your choice (I used penne)
Season the shrimp. Sauté until brown on both sides. Place to the side.
Boil pasta noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set to the side.
Sauté garlic with butter for about 30 seconds. Add heavy cream. Season to your taste. Let sauce simmer until thickened. I added a cornstarch slurry to thicken it, but it might not be needed if you’re adding cheese.
Add broccoli and shrimp to the sauce. Simmer until broccoli and shrimp are warm.
Mix the sauce and noodles. Serve with garlic bread and salad. Enjoy!

Oh no! Do you have any specialty stores near you? You could also use dairy free milk and make a roux instead. Add some cheese and nutritional yeast.
