Totally off topic, but the minute you said Oo-lee, I realized my 50 yr error... So TIL that my whole home region (more than the town or county) has been mispronouncing the Danish version of Ole (vs the swedish and the norwegian versions, which we say Oh-lee) and not a one of them ever said a word. It used to be a very, very common name in the middle far north usa. Lol but I guess those Ole & Lena jokes don't apply to them then! (yes, once upon a time, there were racist jokes about Scandinavians, but it's because they were recent immigrants, which isn't cool, but clarifying that it's not a weird "too white for the whites" thing)

Cassandra, I would LOVE to see a video of you working on someones else's skin with professional treatments!!! It would be so fun to watch you work, while you educate us on some of the techniques and services that are available when you go to a pro.
I have been intimidated to try different procedures and treatments at the MedSpa because the choices are so overwhelming. I only see an Esti for my brows and lashes, and the occasional lazer to zap broken blood vessels. I would love to see how you work, especially with products and services for us with more sensitive or reactive skin types, as well as acne treatments.

I’m not Cassandra, but I highly recommend chemical peels and microneedling treatments. They did wonders on my acne-prone, scarred skin. Also, both make the skin super glowy (though chemical peels do that slightly better).

As someone who became an esthetician because I was spending my whole paycheck on $200 facials and $100 cleansers and serums that didn’t do shiz I respect anyone giving HONEST advice to struggling clients. You should never scam somebody into a routine you don’t think is ideal and attainable financially or otherwise. As a service provider you have an ethical obligation to do right by your clients and not just be a salesman
That’s why everyone has their guard up when they’re being sold home care

The health industry in the US is extremely cruel.
I have a lot of moles and in Europe it's a lot different. My dermatologist in Croatia would give me thorough exams and even had a computer picture database of potentially dangerous moles to track changes over time.
I've been living in LA for 3 years and at Kaiser they barely even look at me when I go for a check up.

To anyone that might be reading this, I wish that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life... even tho current times are challenging and some of you might go through tough times now I sincerely wish everyone that happiness enters your hearts and let all the stress and sadness vanish out of your life...as you know nothing in life is ever easy, but what's important is that you keep going!
you're worthy of love and happiness, never allow anyone to tell you otherwise! It can be extra hard sometimes but stay strong and hang in there, your life matters, no one can replace you, I'm thankful you're born and I'm sure your struggles will pass soon! I wish all of you plenty of health and strength during any current tough times you face. Remember you are strong, you got this! never forget that!

Pacifica dreamy youth super peptide cream has been a game changer for my Rosacea. I have heard her talk about the brand so I decided to try it. I have had less flares since I have been using it. I have literally tried everything, and this is the best so far. I recommend it to my friend with severe eczema and her face is clearing up. I also have noticed my skin looks so healthy since I have been using it as well.

People now always call or come to me asking how to help them with their skin. Because I understand skin, and I’ve been able to help with and “cure” people's skin issues, including bacterial/ viral infections, hidradenitis suppurativa, and more. All due to you helping me start the process of understanding skin and ingredients.
So thank you so much, you really never know how much your actions can affect another persons life.

Eminence has really intrigued me a lot. Their prices aren't too prestige-priced as in $100+ USD/product and they do have very interesting botanical formulations. A lot don't contain the standard essential oils you'll see in another organic line and they contain known antioxidants like Q10, ALA, and beneficial fruit+plant extracts. I hope more influencers into natural beauty talk more about it!

I'm and Esthetician and I love that u really get excited about helping clients. Most of the products u mentioned I would never use on my own face because of the fragrance. What fragrance free products do u use in clinic? Paula's Choice is my go to brand but they don't make any back bar sizes of their products and they cost too much to use repeatedly on clients.

I use this peptide moisturizer as well! I quite like it but it’s interesting to me that you find it amazing for your oily skin. I’m oily/combo and I find it a bit much… I only use it at night and a tiny amount over my prescription retinol. I love the ingredients and the experience but I almost wish this came in like a lotion formula! I have such a hard time to find a night moisturizer that is heavy enough but not too much. When my moisturizer gets too much I get these really painful whiteheads around my nose and chin and they feel as if someone is stabbing me with hot needles. Skinfix was the worst for that I had to give it away.

I use the ISclinical cleansing gel as my conducting gel, that way I can cleanse and use a treatment in one step. Everyone seems to distinctly prefer conducting gels though and I wonder if I am short changing myself. It seems to work well and I have not had any issues with it. The cleansing gel has plenty of slip.

Would you use the milkfoliant and adapalene gel in the same evening? I know you typically don't want to use an exfoliant in the same session as a retinoid but this seems different.

    Hi Cassandra,
Thanks for the video. You talk a lot about products you use on clients and I'm wondering if you have any tips for choosing an esthetician or dermatologist? I've had terrible interactions with dermatologists. I had cystic acne in 2016 and my face is now clear, but I have texture and pigmentation. I'm hoping to work with a derm who can help with my skin, but I have a hard time trusting anyone, especially now that my skin is clear. I don't want to mess it up. Any advice or recommendations in the Seattle area are greatly appreciated!

    Cassandra,
Hiiii. I recently found you on Facebook and I've been addicted to your reactions to celebrities. I so want to try Ole Henriksen because I have extremely dry skin that often flakes. Weirdly, it's been happening around my ears as well as my nose and forehead. Is there a more budget friendly version of this moisturizer? I definitely would like to work toward getting Ole Henriksen or maybe getting a sample before paying that much, but I would love your input.

I have a question for you. I am trying to cut down on my skincare routine. I have found over the past couple months for myself that less is more beneficial to my skin & my skin has never looked better. Usually it's just cleanser & SPF everyday for me. However, if I am doing makeup for a special occasion I'll add in eye cream, serum, and moisturizer (but that's not everyday). For the most part I feel like the more stuff I pile onto my face "suffocates" or irritates my skin. It's nice when my skin can breathe. In your professional opinion is eye cream necessary? I was googling it and a lot of sites say no.
"Look, if things are pretty regular when it comes to your eye area (it's not too dry, puffy, dark or creased) and if you’re already using a good serum and facial moisturiser (that doesn't irritate your eyes), then these will do the trick nicely. Because the thing is - an eye cream essentially only hydrates and protects the skin around the eye, which are all the things your trusty serum and cream are doing to the rest of your face"
"Most eye creams do very little other than moisturise the skin's surface and therefore temporarily plump up fine lines and wrinkles due to their hydration effects," Eye cream is a moisturizer in a tiny tube at a higher price."

Great recommendations, I’m looking for a cleanser moisturizer and SPF that are cruelty free and good for acne prone skin. Thing is I’m allergic to salicylic acid which is in almost everything. Benzyl peroxide seems to work on me. As long as it’s 10% or less and not too harsh. Is there anything you can recommend?

The way that you're saying how you teach the teenagers is exactly what you did with me except for I was an adult who wasn't really into skincare I would use body lotion on my face yeah I use the same size apricot scrub so I did a lot of bad things to my skin because I didn't know better but since I watched your channel in the past 2 years I have learned so much I have a very good skin care routine works great on my face I even have like an expensive skin care routine and if I can't afford that one I have an alternative usually elf skin care when I'm a little more strapped for money I can tell the difference it's not always about the price of something but I can tell my skin looks better when I spend more on my It Cosmetics confidence line I absolutely love it although they just redid it and I wish they wouldn't try to fix what's not broken they basically redid almost all of their skin care products resempt them and changed up the formula and I don't really like the new stuff but nothing I can do about that now I'm just rambling anyhow I just wanted to tell you thank you I love my skin and that is because I listened and learned turned and learned and read my stuff and because you taught me so much thank you for the knowledge that you've given me I am forever grateful

Cassandra, have you seen the Face Gym microneedling device? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I’ve only ever had microneedling done in a derm’s office and would never use the traditional at-home microneedling devices because of sanitation and safety concerns. However, this Face Gym device comes with sterile needs and serum ampules, which makes me curious if this could be an actually safe and effective at-home microneedling treatment. I’d love to get microneedling done again, but it’s incredibly expensive, so it’d be nice to do it from home but ONLY if it was actually safe to do so.

Was just curious because I know you arent supposed to use it in same night as tretinoin, but wanted to get your opinion on using the vita c serum. the morning after ....after you have washed your face (if your skin tolerates). Thanks!!!

Speaking of "clean" ingredients, what's your take on BHA's? I've read that they can affect hormones and can be considered a carcinogenic. Is it still safe to put BHA's on your face/skin if you have hormone issues?
