It's funny how celebs have the money, time, and resources for excellent skincare, yet it's everyday folks like Lucy who are actually making smart choices with their skin. It's nice to see someone who's doing such a good job with her routine and not pushing olive oil lol. Good job, Lucy!

Beautycounter is an MLM. Sephora carried them for a while and unfortunately that gave the impression of legitimacy and lured some people into the trap. I don't care how good the product is, I don't stan exploitative business models.

Pacifica why?!? Why name a product "lavender moon" if you don't put lavender in there?! I mean it's great because it means I can actually use it (I'm very allergic to lavender) but the name was so off-putting that I never bothered to check the ingredients. I've seen products that are the other way round where they don't say anything about having lavender in the title/name but it's in the ingredients list. I actually had a reaction to smelling a face cream because it only said the full name on the box, not the jar, and lavender was in the full name. 8 hours of numb tongue later after having an antihistamine, I was fine 🙃

We need a tired millennial's skin care routine🤣 I legit roll out of bed and rub sunscreen on my face and if I need moisturizer, I use that too. Then, if I have the energy, I wash my face at night and apply the Ordinary's retinol suspension in squalane and go to bed. Do I have a toner? Yes. Do I have masks and chemical exfoliants? Yes. Do I have the energy to use them? Usually not🤣😭.

I love Lucy’s silky robe. she’s super pretty! I wish I looked like that after washing my face and applying treatments. I remember Dr. Dray saying “prove it” when people say you shouldn’t rub your face this way or that, as there’s not any evidence that supports the practice that you must be gentle (unless your skin actually reacts to a rough touch, I know hypersensitivity is an issue some have). How exciting you have met her! You all are such superstars in your fields. This video was really enjoyable to watch.

Warning: rant-y but respectful, please please Cassandra, read - I've used many oils on my face, including some that are edible (fun fact, an oil being sold for cooking has no impact on its use in skincare, other than bringing the price down and ensuring a higher level of quality control), I love you Cassandra, but please stop making every little diy seem dumb. A blend of oils, edible or not, can very easily be an excellent facial cleansing oil for someone. I can't see any reason that safflower oil is wonderful if priced up & included in a commercial product but it's gross and unpleasant if I have the good sense to buy a liter for $5. Lots of things could be potential irritants, not just diy-adjacent ingredients, and the FDA regulates food oils, which is not a perfect system, but since pretty much anything can be in our skincare and someone will have to sue for real damages before we know, how again is it so silly and yucky to use good quality pure botanical oils? Good ol' Retinol/retinoids have destroyed my skin, apparently permanently, but everyone pushes that like it's a safe product. I'll tell you what, I'd rather have an occasional blackhead or line than the nightmare I have now with my skin.

As a fellow esthetician, you and I differ heavily on toners. In my school it was heavily emphasized and from working at Sephora, I've seen a huge change in clients skin after putting them on a toner. Though, they may have been using a non pH balanced cleanser. Resetting the skins pH after cleansing was drilled into my head so it may just be a difference in curriculum.

hmm ok.. soo.. (love her btw) the point about animal cruelty is fair, but the neutrogena retinol is exceptional because it's undergone clinical trials demonstrating its efficacy. And when the ingredient has concerns around stabilisation that really matters. Recommending an alternative that (unless I'm dumb) hasn't undergone clinical testing seems like a disservice.

You have some sort of personal vendetta against CeraVe. The only thing you mention about them in this video is that they are not cruelty free and basic and you just move on. Lancome is also not cruelty free but you made it sound like it is not a bad product but it is expensive and there are better options. Sure you can go and buy Good Molecules tiny cleaner for $12 or you can get a giant bottle of "basic" CeraVe for $15 (cheaper online as you can always get a coupon at cvs or Walgreens). CeraVe does the job just fine and that is one of the best options at the drug store, especially for the price as we are facing a recession.

Is beeswax vegan? I'm a little weirded out that Cassandra called out Cerave for not being cruelty free but Yadah's cleansing balm got a pass. Not trying to throw any shade, I am not vegan but I'm trying to use as many vegan products as possible and idk if beeswax count as cruelty free or not.

Not it’s not vegan. They may have just missed that ingredient

One thing I will say is the hydrating cleanser is different than the cream to foam, I didn't like the hydrating one as it's not for me, but cream to foam is a very unique product, as it's like a cleansing milk that emulsifies better.

Jojoba oil is my savior, a godsend that allows me to wear makeup cause I don’t put makeup on if I’m not/can’t take it off.
That plus an updated skincare routine and medications to combat my severe/chronic eczema = best skin I’ve EVER had💕💕💕

Omg. My heart. Always excited to see the greats interact! Especially you! Love seeing you succeed! 😍😘
Rough morning voice: could also be GERD since she has rocesa, too. They're related. ☺️

Can you post a video on the use of tretinoin use at night and what serums can be used with it. I use Timeless vit C in the morning but still not sure what serums go with that either. Just playing it by ear Thank you 😊

Would you consider doing an episode on how HYALURONIC ACID would work within the fibroblasts when someone has a condition like Marfans or EDS where the fibroblasts don't work correctly to synthesize collagen?

Thanks for the tip on when to put eye cream on. I assumed since it is like a moisturizer for your eyes it was used when you moisturize...maybe right before the face moisturizer but I do want the anti dark mark and anti aging ingredients to absorb well so I'll keep this tip in mind.
