i’ve heard dental hygienists work only 3-4 days a week and that is considered full time, is that typical or a myth? thinking about going into the field
Not a DH but I wanna go into the field so I know a bit about it, but it really depends on the office you work at! I’ve seen some offices with 10 hr days who require RDHs to work only 3-4 days, and I’ve seen offices who have shorter hours and require RDHs to work 5 days. Depending on your area and the availability of full-time RDH jobs you may work two part-time jobs which have their own hours. So really it depends!
I love all the advice you gave! I’m currently finishing up my prerequisites to apply to Hygiene school. I worked as a dental assistant for 3 years and recommend it to anyone that’s looking into this field. Watching your videos gets me so excited about being an rdh 🦷🫶🏻💕
