The peek into the quarters, leading to the mess hall, having little placards with stories about the history and decorations of the ship... What an incredible job by CIG. This was probably one of the most real-life feeling things I've had the pleasure of watching on here. And Leading Starman Detmer was 100% true-to-life an E3 who probably needed some extra lines on their performance report-- maybe after getting counseled a couple times to stop goofing off-- and getting voluntold by their supervisor to do this tour. Incredible writing through this whole tour; makes S42 sound like a truly next-gen experience.
The tour was amazing while going trough in person, but to see it in this kind of quality is so much better than what my PC can handle. The tour guides are SO well done, both the voice acting and the mocap. Very much a glimpse of things to come and just how nice it's going to look.
I wonder if SC will ever implement the ability to hire crew members to fill up your ships. Maybe have to pay them a regular salary in order to make it a little more fair.
Great video as always. Kind of a bummer it's so limited in areas we could see, but it was still cool. One thing we should be clear about though, this ship has a crew of 80. It will not need 80 PEOPLE to crew. I suspect a handful of players managing NPC crew will get the job done. Server meshing, NPC crews and, eventually, the confirmed "Agent Smith" drop in mechanic will make this and other large ships more practical (if still huge time and resource sinks) to operate.
Elite Dangerous: "We didn't want to waste player's time with ship interiors so there are no plans for interiors" Star Citizen: Bahahahahahahahahaha This was simply stunning and I'm very impressed by the AI engagement and mocap. Very excited for experiencing the final release of SC and SQ42.
This game is about to take off in development so put on your seat belts and enjoy the ride. Every ride has bumps so expect bugs but this year invictus was smooth. And with the addition of this ship its turrets were all AI Blades. Cant wait to see medical salvage and hacking this year. Loving this game right now.

@@MrXinshadow Yeah, i'm on the same boat, i backed in 2017 or something and i kinda stopped caring, i didn't wanna burn myself playing a broken game anyway, i never play EA access games on steam either. Until they finish moving to Vulkan only development wont take off and will remain slow, while the art side can progress the game programming side is blocked They use 3 API’s and need to make sure all 3 mesh together and if you have 2 parts doing things you have 9 combination’s in which everything needs to work and thats on the low end The switch to vulkan will make that 1 combination and development will be like comparing throwing a rock too shooting a railgun... i hope
Imagine in the future two community factions at war with multiple of these ships trying to gain control of a moon on one of many planetary systems of many star systems. I'd be just blown away
The idea that the future of this game will have massive player crewed ships is amazing Huge carriers containing swarms of fighters, full fledged wars just about
As an ex-sailor i laughed a lot at the hot bunking. (6:35). Its something you get used to lol. Normaly when you hit the bed youre sleeping already, working aboard a ship is tiresome, sometimes boooring as hell. But physical work. Most of the time you get out of bed, have your fast coffee and get working till your "shift" ends. I loved that segment, it brought some life and humor into the whole "future space" life.
come down to the comments to talk about the barracks guy and was really happy to see everyone else already did :D Really exceptional acting there, and the mocap was excellent for something that isn't even really slotted to be a permanent part of the game. Really shows the attention to detail they're putting into everthing
The servers ran great this year for Invictus compared to years passed....Make sure you have SC loaded on SSD with at least 32 GB of RAM. It was an amazing Invictus all around. Not to mention I experienced no 30k's this year as well.
Thanks for this video. It's great for those who missed it or want to revisit the ship again. Though I still can't get over it that the ceilings are so low in a lot of areas. Especially those pipes and chutes located in the middle top of the corridors. Yes, it is a military vessel and just like in real life ones, the space inside must be cramped and efficient. But this is a game and space is vast. One can't even run through these corridors without hitting their heads, let alone hop from the floor just an inch or carry something tall. The rest of the areas look good and spacious though.
The bunk room guy was on point. Pretty much exactly what I’d say to anyone If I were voluntold to give a lil blurb about my mess. Good to know cooks are still required even in the future lmao
I liked how you could visually identify which areas wear for what, the official yet homely halls spaces of the living areas, the clean efficiency of the turret wells, the dinghy bits of the engineering section and the seriousness of the briefing room thing
It was fun touring the Javelin. When I saw it from my ship it looked so cool flying through space. I wish they had more interior done though. Can't wait for it to be finish and in game!
Thank you so much Morph. My RAM was taking a beating while my GPU basically sat there and did nothing lol. I was crashing a lot when i tried to QT, so I couldn't even switch spawns to PO from NB. This was a such joy to see presented in the level of quality you always deliver with
My computer's always been below recommended specs for SC, and recently, thanks to what I suspect is heat damage, using the train in New Babbage freezes the game. Wasn't able to make it to Invictus this year, but at least with this video I can still see what I missed! Thanks Morphologis!
I did not see every voice acted NPC but this video does highlight the direction CIG is going with its quality and I can call this a preview of Squadron 42 of sorts. Great video Morph!
@@samson.galaxy1447 don't make the same mistake I made. Get a single powerful GPU, have a dedicated NVME or SSD to put the game on (separate from the operating system), a good CPU and at least 32GB of memory (64 or more if you are a multitasking beast)
Parts of the ship are sealed off for security, lets a fully armored rogue replicant with weapons strapped to every inch of their body go where they want.
Star Citizen videos have been thrilling and mind-blowing to watch, but ship reviews and tours have been what really makes me excited for this game, I hope to play it in the future, but for now it is always a treat to watch your videos, cheers.
This is honestly amazing and has a certain level of potential. I mean could you imagine getting X amount of people together like a guild to man a ship like this. Or even organize a 'guild' where your newer and more or less skilled players manned this ship while you still have a small fleet of other ships flying nearby. I've been talking about how cool it would be to have an updated version of EVE for a while and this is it. Honestly if the devs nail down background narrative just to establish some facts in the game, they can hand everything else off to the players and just let them go crazy; creating markets, narratives of their own, business, fleets, starting wars, exploring, and fight over planets, or establish shaky guild colonies or outposts. The devs would get enough time to place more attention on expanding the universe, small and large fixes. There is a lot this game could potentially do.
As a new player to Star Citizen I have to say, what CIG is attempting to create is absolutely incredible. I know there's still a long way to go but from thew few hours I've played, if they can pull it off it truly will be one of the most revolutionary games in history. It is literally everything I have dreamed a space sim should be and while it is far from perfect (or finished) I can definitely say it's worth the price for entry. This video is just case in point of how impressive the scope of the game truly is.
Thank you so so much for this vid Morph, I was unable to attend the event myself and I'm thankful for TH-camrs like you who filmed the Javelin tour and put it out there.
I love how they realistically captured a sailor being forced to do some dog and pony show and they "volunteered" for it and they have to say nothing but positive and happy things about shit thats anything but happy or comfy. Like military's bunks and cramped living spaces lol. A+ on capturing that mood SC.
Star Citizen conditions you so much into expecting NPCs to be mute, despite visiting the Javelin during Invictus I completely missed every single one of these NPCs. I really appreciate you sticking around to let us hear what they have to say!
Great video, thanks for this. Managed to see it ingame as well, but your filming and editing is great. Love the turret gunner and her talk - close to an Expanse Bobby in Star Citizen ;D
It's at this moment that the game got my attention. It's all about fleet battle, 'piracy' in space and ship raids. If the game delivers that then all the effort put into it will pay off in grandeur. Fleet battles with some space first person combat is something that no one dared to do. This game begins that journey similar to Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. I hope that the game gets a good launch some day and show off all the effort during all those years. Side note: Finally the art direction for the interiors hit the nail. It looks like a submarine with cylindrical pathways and has the theme of these giant US naval carriers. The design is on spot. Some work should be done on NPCs. They should act more human like and natural. Their conversation somehow reaches 'meme' levels of hilarity.
I REALLY love how human the characters look, move, and sound. The minor pauses and stuttering, the subtle laughs, and slight gestures just makes them feel more human. No other game besides Outer Worlds and maybe Destiny 2 come close to that level of realism.
I know this is very late, but thanks for sharing this Morph. The more I see, the more I wanna play. You can tell the artists and architects behind these ships put a lot of TLC into their presentation with exceptional attention to detail, beautiful, sleek, and/or rugged designs, and even time and attention on finer details like starship amenities, layout, and interactive elements. War Hammer looks like a fine, beautiful ship, and if I ever had a chance to meet the architects, I’d definitely buy ‘em a drink heh.
Having been on a couple of tours aboard active Royal Netherlands Navy warships, I can say that this was an incredibly accurate experience! Especially bunk-guy! The only real difference would be that we had guided group tours, as letting civilians walk independently throughout an active warship is, obviously, a very bad idea.
Ironally the bunk guide, with arguably the least interesting topic, was the most interesting. It was made even better by how aware he was of his situation, because we could tell that he knew that this would be uninteresting to the visitors, yet he still had to do his job - so that made him uniquely lifelike, because other NPCs have their lines but it doesn't feel like the ycan read the room
@@Exsulator2 I am constantly impressed by all the facial animation, if it is procedural it seems like it can detect the gap between phrases and judge just how much breath the character needs to emote...I found in CP2077 the facial animation was fantastic using JALI but the breathing was just an overlay, not integrated to the performance at all. If it was facial mocap then very well done to the performers, deserve every bit of praise.
Having been in the weapons division in the Navy on an Aircraft Carrier, the dude with the hot rackin’ story and how bad it is was my favorite. 10/10 for realism hahaha.
I really liked the turret! The way you could rotate it could allow you to keep the big guns on a larger enemy vessel while at the same time rotating the top part to fight smaller craft. Neat!
Amazing recording! Enjoyed it in 4k. One note on the games area of the ship - I HOPE that CIG eventually gets creative with putting games in space. I mean, the video games are from almost 40 years ago! You'd think a few hundred years into the future, they'd AT LEAST have functional VR. One cool thing about Fallout 76, they actually had working video games inside of their video game - and this is an excellent spot for mini-games. I've often dreamed of having entertaining ...well, entertainment on ships, whether it's cool newscasts or music, and certainly mini-games to rival some other modern games.
i love that they added in the disgust of the crewman for having to hotrack before serving on the javelin. lmao. it sucks. thanks for doing this vid morph!
This video tour really did the Javelin justice. So nice to see it in high res at good frames lol Here's hoping the next time they let us go on it they'll have finished more of the interior. I want to see the bridge :O
I have never played this game, but watching you made me feel like I was there Looking at this jaw dropping vessel. It was like the same feeling when I first stepped onto a patrol vessel for work. The sizes maybe different. But the feeling remains same. Excellent video man. Subbed and Liked.
The jav features heavily in SQ42 and they don't want to spoil it. Same with the Idris and Bengal, hence why we won't see them fully until SQ42 releases
Wow, the guy in the barracks had amazing facial animations and the other animations/ general acting was brilliant too. Hope we get this sort of stuff more often cuz tbh SCs facial stuff can be a bit... uncanny valley
Nice. Just a hint for more realism in a video. Its a detail but if you just tap F instead of holding it you will also do the most logic action that holding F and clicking would do, so it looks more natural without text popping up and sounds of clicking menu ;).
The bunk guy was 10/10 for realism. It sounded so natural as to how that would play out in a press tour of a warship.
They should keep this line for an NPC, it's so convincing !
Agreed. Bunk guy wins Invictus 2951. Bengal's got nothing on him.

I hope so. and will be great if there's clan/federation to fill civilization.
They are planning on that. When, no one knows
Elite Dangerous: "We didn't want to waste player's time with ship interiors so there are no plans for interiors"
Star Citizen: Bahahahahahahahahaha
This was simply stunning and I'm very impressed by the AI engagement and mocap. Very excited for experiencing the final release of SC and SQ42.
What's wrong with E.D ??
This game is about to take off in development so put on your seat belts and enjoy the ride. Every ride has bumps so expect bugs but this year invictus was smooth. And with the addition of this ship its turrets were all AI Blades. Cant wait to see medical salvage and hacking this year. Loving this game right now.
No it's not.
@@countinfinity776technically it's been "about to take off" since 2012, one of these years HAS to be correct, right? Right?
As an aside, I was super excited for salvage to be added myself...back in 2016 when it first appeared on the roadmap. Just wake me up when SC has anything worthwhile to offer haha
@@MrXinshadow Yeah, i'm on the same boat, i backed in 2017 or something and i kinda stopped caring, i didn't wanna burn myself playing a broken game anyway, i never play EA access games on steam either. The development pace is so slow though, i'm also not a fan of their funding model, they keep funneling money people spend for SC on their single player game called SQ42 and even that one isn't out, in fact there's no release date either lol.
@@countinfinity776 Work done on SQ42 helps Star Citizen in general, so splitting the development is not that big of a deal.
Until they finish moving to Vulkan only development wont take off and will remain slow, while the art side can progress the game programming side is blocked
They use 3 API’s and need to make sure all 3 mesh together and if you have 2 parts doing things you have 9 combination’s in which everything needs to work and thats on the low end
The switch to vulkan will make that 1 combination and development will be like comparing throwing a rock too shooting a railgun... i hope
Imagine in the future two community factions at war with multiple of these ships trying to gain control of a moon on one of many planetary systems of many star systems. I'd be just blown away
The idea that the future of this game will have massive player crewed ships is amazing
Huge carriers containing swarms of fighters, full fledged wars just about
As an ex-sailor i laughed a lot at the hot bunking. (6:35).
Its something you get used to lol. Normaly when you hit the bed youre sleeping already, working aboard a ship is tiresome, sometimes boooring as hell. But physical work.
Most of the time you get out of bed, have your fast coffee and get working till your "shift" ends. I loved that segment, it brought some life and humor into the whole "future space" life.
come down to the comments to talk about the barracks guy and was really happy to see everyone else already did :D
Really exceptional acting there, and the mocap was excellent for something that isn't even really slotted to be a permanent part of the game. Really shows the attention to detail they're putting into everthing
5:53 Wow the voice acting here is really on point! I loved it
Yo this is awesome. I'm so grateful you did this because the servers and my PC specs wouldn't let me experience this in-game.
Good to know cooks are still required even in the future lmao
this felt like an actual tour of a military establishment, brings me back
I liked how you could visually identify which areas wear for what, the official yet homely halls spaces of the living areas, the clean efficiency of the turret wells, the dinghy bits of the engineering section and the seriousness of the briefing room thing
It was fun touring the Javelin. When I saw it from my ship it looked so cool flying through space. I wish they had more interior done though. Can't wait for it to be finish and in game!
Excellent work Yes we want more keep bringing it! ☺️👍
Jingles points out a very good point of the design, no airlock between the decks lol
While i always wish the game was released at a faster pace, i also always love the insane quality and love that is put into every minute aspect of it.
I don’t even own the game and watch these vids a lot haha
Same. I am saving up for a pc just to get SC
I’d keep it that way until you see a bit more progress, don’t follow the rest of us down the rabbit hole just yet ;)
Best way to experience SC probably, all the good stuff, and none of the bad as it's cut away
@@samson.galaxy1447 don't make the same mistake I made. Get a single powerful GPU, have a dedicated NVME or SSD to put the game on (separate from the operating system), a good CPU and at least 32GB of memory (64 or more if you are a multitasking beast)
@@plasticdeath31 actually that's pretty good advice too
Parts of the ship are sealed off for security, lets a fully armored rogue replicant with weapons strapped to every inch of their body go where they want.
Star Citizen videos have been thrilling and mind-blowing to watch, but ship reviews and tours have been what really makes me excited for this game, I hope to play it in the future, but for now it is always a treat to watch your videos, cheers.
The acting for these is absolutely brilliant. Cannot WAIT to see more
This is honestly amazing and has a certain level of potential.
The tour guides seem so natural. Great animations and voice work.
13:22 I especially love that bright corridor down below. 😎
Yeah what was this?? That dude looked tortured!
@@CitizenRyan engine room probably on large ships the engine gives off a blue glow. It’s visible on the Hammerhead and Origin for example.
@@Mgl1206 I really mean 13:51. If you went down there with a flashlight you'd see a soilder being guarded and contorted in this dark room. Super weird
Damn, the bunk guy was so realistic and the animations of this game are so well done
The briefing room was pretty cool. I didn't get around to touring the Warhammer myself this year. Thanks for the upload.
Eye movement is what breathes life into the characters. It immediately feels unnatural when the eyes are static and only the head moves.
No other game besides Outer Worlds and maybe Destiny 2 come close to that level of realism.
f*ck yeah, been waiting for this
I was 16 seconds too late!
Really like the scripting and performance of the Bunk Guide...seems really human in nature, more so than any other characters in the game.
@@KarlClarkeMusic Pretty sure it's just mocap but idk tbh
LOL 10:15 NPC taking selfies in the Mess Hall. Attention to detail in this game is phenomenal
Godamn those interiors are so good, I love this ships whole aesthetic, also great place for some CQC FPS battles too
VBSS would be utter hell LOL
Whats insane to me is, One day in the distant future, There will be a mission where you and all your buddies need to shoot this ship down. WILD
So nice to see it in high res at good frames lol
Here's hoping the next time they let us go on it they'll have finished more of the interior. I want to see the bridge :O
Very smooth. I was lucky enough to explore the Javelin for my first time, while no other players were on board. I can't wait to see the rest of it.
Excellent camera work and loved your tour. This fleet week did one thing the last one did not do for me. It made me excited for the future of SC.
Thank you for filming it all. I am bummed I missed it live.
I have never played this game, but watching you made me feel like I was there
Looking at this jaw dropping vessel.
The scale of this thing is pretty mind blowing. Crazy to think it's significantly longer than US aircraft carriers.
Nice. Just a hint for more realism in a video. Its a detail but if you just tap F instead of holding it you will also do the most logic action that holding F and clicking would do, so it looks more natural without text popping up and sounds of clicking menu ;).
15:23 It always does, mate. It always does...
rofl, i snorted a bit load when i heard him say that :D
Great tour. I couldn't manage decent FPS while on board so it was nice to see the motion capture in a smooth way here.
11:14 someone gets casually shot in the background
Thanks Morph, nice shot at the end seeing the Jav fly away
The passion that has gone into the development of SC is truly inspiring.
Very nicely shot, Morph! Thanks for the vid! This is great work!
Imagine buying one of these ships, gathering 80 of the home boys, and arrange 'among us' on the ship: It would be amazing
The voiceacting, especially by the guy at the bunks, was great. Games in general could use more natural talk by NPCs, not so staged like usual.
