Noone would have thought in the past hot hatches will have more than 300 and even 400 hp stock . Cheap practical alternative for the real motorhead. I am addicted to those .
My Dad is thinking about getting one of these. He currently has a TT but is having difficulty getting his walking frame out the boot. This looks as though it would be much easier to get things out of the boot for a disabled person who likes fast cars

Great review, amazing interior and average exterior. For €55,000, the hot hatch market is going nuts in prices. But I guess for a premium fast hatchback, its alright
Yes so true! They‘re getting more and more expensive.. but this one is also way better than before w. Torque vectoring from the Rs3 etc..

@@Moscarblog Probably yes. Here in Cyprus it starts from €77K. The Golf R 333PS starts at €56K and the A35 AMG starts at €50K. Thats a hell of a lot of money for a hatchback 🤣
I'm must turn you around, the A3 has nothing truly premium anymore especially compared to its competition the 1-Series and 2-Series Gran Coupe and the Mercedes A-Class.
Audi choose to downgrade the interior with new generation of the car. the interior, on first look the dashboard looks great but the quality is absurd. The door panels are out of poor hard plastic and recycled fabric. The rear of the center armrest exposes and an awful design flaw with that pointless drum and some stacked up design. Still, there's no proper automatic shifter we know from the A4, A5, A6 you know the game. While they did improve interior details like proper seperated cup holders (yet still bad positioning) and more ambient lights. The current Generation of the A3/S3 and RS3 is still a garbage can of recycling material. Doesn't compete with competition, neither with it own branding.
If Audi, A4 and anything higher☺️

No fake pops but a lot of the sound is still pumped through the speakers in the interior…

Just one quiz....the previous S3 before the facelift had the similar engine as VW Golf R but somewhat suppressed...thus a tad bit slower than the R.....is this one similar or has it been set loose??
It now has the 333HP from the GOLF R special edition! It‘s now way better than the Pre FL

You can turn the interior sound down or off from the OBD port. I've got my 8V at 10% which is good.
Years ago, I test drove an A4 with 19" wheels. The ride was very harsh. One pothole and the wheels would have been toast. With a smaller car like an S3, the ride is going to be very harsh with 19" wheels. If I bought this car, I'd have to get some aftermarket 18-inchers.
You can get 18‘s stock I think, but I can assure you that the ride was completely decent. I didn‘t have any complaints

The first 3-4 cars are just dropping here and you should be able to buy one now!

Great review thank you, could tell how exciting it was for you! The sound is definitely pumped in though, they all do it, you can hear the cabin sound is just like the current Audi models. Exhaust definitely better 100%. I guarantee the UK won’t see the alcantara, but overall a nice facelift.
Yeah, so annoying how the UK won't get the alcantara or the red stitching. Not a clue why but I doubt we'll get it. Very frustrating
That Alcantara on the dash is so so amazing right? The sound definitely felt real, it may be pumped in but it‘s super suttle. On all the other modern hot hatches from the competitors it feels sience fiction how fake their sound is…

@@Moscarblog My RSQ3 and RS5s sounded like my A3 TDI in sport mode, it’s fake noise. My current Merc A35 is awful for fake sound, so agree with you that some are worse than others! My BMW M340d I had recently also sounded like a meaty petrol 🤣
Nice car but a class/a35 interior is so much nicer to look at for me. I owned a a4 b9 few years ago they still haven’t changed the steering wheel. Also 47k gbp starting is ridiculous I’d rather get a used a45s or rs3 for similar price.

It has real air intakes the A3 has always fake ones! Other then that you are right and I agree.
It’s not too difficult to buy an s3 badge and stick it on the front of the car if your really that bothered.
I don‘t really mind it tbh it looks way better!

As amazing as this new S3 is, compact class cars are just getting way too expensive at 56000€
Compare this to an i30N - is the additional 22000€ really justified?
True.. we got 4wd in this one, torque vegtoring , the looks and the Rs style interior.. so we are definitely getting something for the money.. but it‘s expensive!!
They learn by Hyundai n how make real sounds but good step for this only model let see for new A5 rs5 if the put fake sound or be much better.

Very nice car, but the price is outrageously high.
For 25k less you get a Ford Focus ST fully equipped, the interior is not so high quality but you have just as much fun driving as with the S3

Another 10% power over my near identical 2019 S3 8V Sportback Black Edition, but does that huge price jump include the custom exhaust as standard? Too much awful alcantara. I Hate that stuff, and it's so unhygienic on a steering wheel or seats. At least my 8V is pure nappa leather with red stitching and I would never buy this new one without a zero alcantara option!
Hey! There‘s zero Alcantara Options ofcourse and the Akrapovic sets you back an extra 4.100€ in germany
Facelift s3 also comes with rear torque splitter which transform corner and corner exit speed and is a fair bit faster down a B road than the one that came before
audi what have you done to this front?!!! its so ugly..... (my opinion).
Still has the cheap plastics inside and horrible piano black bits. I have an RS3 8Y and those things do annoy me. Not much different to the current car overall, but then it's just a facelift. Not an RS3 though, so I'll wait to see if they do anything worthwhile with that. Had my RS3 one year now, main gripes apart from use of cheap interior parts - B&O system is utter crap, software glitches with drive modes - still not sorted by Audi and then just the overall cheap shortcuts all over the car. Even the parcel shelf is now a bit of wobbly crap. Had rattles in my car as well, which I fixed because the dealer couldn't - now surprise given how crap Audi dealers have become.
All that money and just one S3 badge .....😢😢😢 I'd rather buy the Golf R which is more powerful and cheaper
