Turbo boils the cooling liquid, cause everything gets really hod inside the hood. It is generally a good idea to run the engine for few seconds, after you stop. And after few minutes run the engine for 10-20 seconds to circulate that cooler water from the tunnel into the engine. That might also be a good way to make your engine/turbo last longer.
not even just for turbos. these guys blast wide open up a 30 second+ hill get to the top and immediately shut it off with pistons red hot. no motorsports goes wide open to shut off the engine like sledders... so incredibly hard on the motor.
Well Performance aside, The Khaos Boost Exhaust when climbing, WHOOSHING at Full Power sounds so mean and pissed off, I love it. Nothing compares. Fricken awesome Video. Loved it all
I’m going to start a land survey math TH-cam series and was wondering what is the best editing tool for me. I’m not looking to get fancy or creative just might need to edit out some dead time. Thanks in advance.
Yeah that hitch scenario is little sketchy 🤣, you and Turcote need to have a rip session together this year..would like to see you guys ride together again..🤙✌️
Good news to see that Jason finally got his sled fixed! You guys are killing it out there making my work week better at end of each day getting closer to days off to sled again
The G5-T makes the Poo look Boostless. That was a surprise. I expected it to be close. Oh well, they are both great sleds as long as they are reliable with minimal downtime. Tree smashing doesn't count. Love 💘 that SKI-DOO feeling! The G5 quick limiter adj is an awesome feature.
OMG LOL you tagged Turcotte!!!!! Loved the adventure you and Jason took and for the record I’m pretty sure you FaceTimed the wrong winner. Watching yesterdays video and realizing I never got a FaceTime call or a text. Congrats to the winner!!!
Awesome Videos really enjoying it I have the 23 gen 5 turbo 154 can you please tell me how you have your limiter set and when do switch to and from precision? thanks
Love you videos, always look forward to the next days video. Some buddies and I are in Wyoming US right now having some fun in the snow, I just got a 22 850 turbo and that thing is insane. Just FYI, turbos get very hot when running hard, they can get upwards and above 500 degrees F, it is a good practice to let the sled idle for like 30 seconds to cool the turbo before you shut it down. The boiling noise could be snow boiling, or coolant if you aren't idling it. Don't know if you will read this, but hopefully it helps somebody. Thanks for the great content, and be safe.
I have to stop watching you!!!! you just cost me $18k!!!! bought a gen 5 165 turbo freeride all bc of you and your dad! rode it once and love it so far! still much harder to get on and keep on edge than the 19 polaris i had before but ill figure it out someday lol. keep up the great videos!
How many avalanches have you personally seen while snowmobiling? You'd have to have cleats at least 2" to get around in that powder like snow, right? I think everybody would love to be able to do what you guys are doing, health issues and money keep a lot of people at home.
Hello Matt. Thanks for the vids. Love them. Quick question on this vid @ 3:10 “why does this thing boil so much?” My new gen 5 is doing this all the time and been in and outa the shop all season trying to figure it out. Is yours boiling every time you stop? Mine is boiling from the turbo. Thanks again for the content. Stay safe!
This is just normal thing on turbos. Everything gets super hot cause of the turbo. And there is cooling lines and that reservoir near the turbo. You just need to runt the sled few seconds before you shut it down. And then just run it for 10-20 seconds afther you have been stationary for few minutes. This is way to circulate cooler water from the heat exchanger into the engine.
@@janisipola6122 I didn’t have this issue with my 2020.5 turbo or my 2022 turbo. Or the Polaris boost that road the same 4km beside me and isn’t boiling. I get what your saying, just didn’t have to do it in the past or other turbo sleds don’t have to sit there and idle.

I don't think you can even fathom the amount of drool that left my mouth watching this one! 🙂😁
Wish I could in-visualize that comment! 😅
Gaaayyy
Best snowmobile content on TH-cam. That was a killer video and some awesome riding by the two of you!
When you go play in the open spaces and the sun is shining…those are the best videos ever 😎👍☝️👌😉.
Tell me about it! If only it was like that all day every day with deep pow!
Chloe deserves a medal for sending out orders and taking care of it while you're gone sleddin!!
Really enjoying the longer videos. You're certainly finding some fresh stuff.
This video proves with out a doubt why this is the best channel. Still waiting for snow in Maine but really enjoying your videos. 🤙🤙
Man Jerry is rippin. Awesome u get to hang with your dad and spend time with him. Makes me super happy but jealous..
Well Performance aside, The Khaos Boost Exhaust when climbing, WHOOSHING at Full Power sounds so mean and pissed off, I love it. Nothing compares. Fricken awesome Video. Loved it all
Sooo jealous! We're starving down here on Togwotee. Good to see McMurray back on the turbo!
Dude, how do you edit without a mouse. Thats what I am taking away from this video lol
Was thinking the exact same thing. Haha.

@@leeanderson5955 I'd suggest looking at DaVinci Resolve. The base version us free and fantastic.
I’m confused what you mean by the mouse
A mousekatool
I love how you put your freeride sticker on Turcotte
Man, that powder is unreal. Another great day of rippin!
The sticker swipe at the beginning… :)
Wow! Great terrain!! That Gen 5 sure looks like it works well.....sounds crisp and looks really nimble! Nice job! Thanks for posting!!!!
Jerry is a legend in my eyes. Hes my motivation to take care of my body so i can still go enjoy the snow when im his age
Yeah that hitch scenario is little sketchy 🤣, you and Turcote need to have a rip session together this year..would like to see you guys ride together again..🤙✌️
We keep talking about it! It’ll happen soon!
Agreed

Man, the powder in this video is UNREAL! Blue bird day mostly and just awesome snow.

I kinda felt bad to be honest 😂 the limiter adjust is actually great!
I knew there wasn't a chance against that g5 the boost don't have it in it

That was some very nice country.... Keep em coming....
Sweet test slope you found! I think that is the best avalanche testing possible for snow machines.
LOLOL! I love the sneeky Muskoka free rider sticker on Turcotte’s sled!
He noticed, I think he was expecting it haha
On of my favourite by far, that really steep zone was wicked 🤘🤘. Can wait to see what other raid stuff your going to post. 🙌🙌
you are killing it man!! love the long vids, makes my days off riding so much better!
It’s awesome to see Jason’s turbo is finally working.
I can't wait to see you on the Polaris, saw you wearing the t-shirt in the intro, you must be stoked to give it a rip!
I love the merch. Having been wearing my hat every day! The shirt fits great and is really comfortable. Thanks again for all the great content!!!
Snow looked mint! Excellent day of riding
Awesome! Snow is shaping up for the season!!
I think they extended that hitch to be able to still fit a sled in the back of the truck.
Love the videos 🤘
Yeah exactly, just looks bad though haha
Nice sly move on Turcotte’s sled Matt. 👍😂
Oooh yeah loving the daily uploads!!
thank you. man what a way to start my morning with a new video!
i love the daily vids!
Everyday this is the best part of it
@18:00 said it before and will continue to say it..that sled is insane..riders pretty damn good too 🤫😆
Great video as always! Keep it up man.
Awesome video, impressive side-hilling and climbing!😳👍🏼
Thanks! 👍
Looks like another fun day!
Did you just sneak that sticker on Turcottes sled!? That is funny, Matt! Lol
Great video like always!
You have no idea how badly these awesome videos make us all want to go sledding😅
Snow looks a bit better than were we were last weekend
Man, what an epic day!
Love that sticker on Brett’s Sledd..lol
Awesome Videos really enjoying it I have the 23 gen 5 turbo 154 can you please tell me how you have your limiter set and when do switch to and from precision? thanks
I knew turcotte would get a sticker sooner or later…lol told him so in comments on one of his vids. Awesome
Those droppings below the trees next to the tree holes are the real life equivalent of the turbo boosting chevrons in Mario Cart.

Yeah I usually try to let it idle for a sec but it doesn’t happen all the time haha
Unike the motor, clutching and track, the turbo is good with lots of heat.
How is your Milwaukee box mounted?
You’re NUTS bro, those trees tho 😢
Awesome as always! Are you or Jason going to fill us in on what it took to get the boost running properly, and if the mods had any culpability?
Rave valve and rave valve spring broken. Among a lot of other small things. They didn’t have a definite answer
That race is what all of us wanted to see You gotta hook up with the guys from Boondock nation. You guys would make some awesome contact together.
Props to you for using the trackpad instead of a mouse to edit all these videos.
Bucket list type of fun.
Lmfao , when you tagged the 9R at the gas station I was ☠️😜
That spot at 5:30:is awesome.
Wellll daaaamn, New daily subscribers is rolling Matt...killing it!!!
My guess is 100k plaque by 2024....whats everybody think ?

Great vid bro wooo
For the trip A slide screen on left and go in the option press the smal dot in upper right corner
Man I want to ski down those hills.
Hey Matt, what kind of spout do you guys use on your Linq gas cans? The stock ones are trash.
jerry i so funny to watch i want more videos of him :)
good stuff as always!
Another great video! Still need that clutch vent? Trade for a sweatshirt and sticker?
Will you be riding in revelstoke next week to? We’re coming to visit all the way from Europe!
Dam that turbo r and boost are insane. They just keep climbing. I need a boost.
Thanks!
Have you heard anything about the timeline for your 9r?
You have to put a new secondary spring in the skidoo turbos every 600 miles or they start running hot
What radio communication are you guys using?
What video camera you using?
Wicked air @ 7:32 Matt.
How to Tore up is your track at the end of the season?🤷🏼♂️
You can tell it's your dad when he tries a hop over or whatever you call it and ends up stuck lol
You beat that thing she loves its 🤙🤙

What are you adjusting? I've tried to find that online... can't get a hit on the tags I'm using
Let’s go another vid

Can you make a vid what you have on you on a ride?
Mine does the boiling thing too. Do they all?
Do you use the heads up mapping ever?
Mine and a buddy’s also do the same. Very odd.
Just let it run for a while when you stop. And it is also good idea to run the engine for short moment while after you shut down the engine.
Holy cow, how did that hitch not rip the bolts outa frame , thats crazy
Do you film a lot with the camcorder? Videos always so smooth 🤘

Very nice . Sure would be nice to see a Ski-Doo 850 X 174" Turbo and a Polaris 850 x 174" Turbo ride with you guys to see if they could keep up.
Through the trees? maybe not. straight up the guts? oh yeah.
Is the exhaust stock on your ski doo?
Someone should put a sticker on your sled every time your lose something off your sled.
That boiling sound is B/c u didn’t let turbo cool off before shutting engine off
How did you mount the packout box to the lynq system?
What gear do you have whit you on a Day?
How come no more CKX helmet
Nice video
Ive been watching you for a while and I was wondering what you think is a good sled to buy I have been ridning befor and im about to take the licens for it and I was just wondering what you think would be a good first sled to buy?
I think you should get a Yamaha Sidewinder tune it to 300 horsepower
Would be friggin exhausted after a day of this.
