- Just wow. I've had this unique triple foil Sky God for for about two years now. I've never been one to collect discs or go crazy for plastic. And I always wondered what this disc could go for. So I thought Vlogmas is the perfect opportunity to find out. I posted this disc with my video idea to the Discmania Throwers and Collectors Group on facebook and what happened next slightly blew my mind.

I think you have to get them to create a new stamp referencing the mishap, have them make you a one of a kind , then release a limited run of the mishap stamp. This story needs to be captured on a disc for sure.

Same here...I actually got shook when he did the test signing because I was trying to write a comment on the vlog n didnt realize it wasn't the SKYGOD he was signing and then the mishap occurred....he looked so sad n stunned that such a $H!TTY THING just happened, I felt so bad for him....because Simply put , Simon seems like the most genuinely good person who is always try'n to do good things....GREAT STORY HERE!!!
This was a roller coaster , but the way Simon handled it was flawless shows some serious character and thanks to Michael for being so generous and humble

Mike is a new addition to our league in Brookings South Dakota this year and it has been an absolute pleasure to get to know this awesome guy!! Doesn’t surprise me a bit the way this went down!
Interesting, I am hoping to be on the working redesign of the Steamboat park course In Pierre South Dakota from an 18 hole into 9 in mostly one section with alternate tees so the course will be like an 18 hole. Then figure out another spot for the other 9. I was the 17 year old who was carrying the basket from spot to spot when the original 9 got built. Also a part of a street that leads to Dakota is being removed forever not accessible to people again so they are going to have options for putting part of the 9 over by the Discovery Center park.
I kept waiting for Simon to say "psyche!", and he had intentionally spilled on a different disc. Made a great story even more special :)

It was cool to watch you hand over the cash last night to Matt. Also cool that you didn't spoil what happened in your car. My reaction was the same as Michael's. I'm sure I woulda felt just like you though if I were in your shoes...crushed. Because of all that, being on videos, and the money raised...this disc is now priceless. Well done to both you and Michael.

Dude...this brought tears to my eyes!! I've been teaching my oldest nephew how to play. He competes in Special Olympics and was telling me how he wishes disc golf was a sport in that program.
He made me want to push the sport that direction. Hopefully I can get a hold of someone on the board and make his dream come true. I absolutely love how charismatic you are on and off the course. Keep up the hard work and I hope to meet you some day my friend! ❤❤❤

You know, I've seen pretty much every tournament you have been filmed in and also seen most if not all of your VLOGS. Prior to watching you play, I had only one favorite Disc Golfer, Double G. After watching you play and seeing your VLOGS, you have joined Double G at the top of my list of favorites. Your style of play, humility, and charitable nature has changed my view of the great sport of Disc Golf! Keep doing what you do Simon. I can't thank you enough for all you do for Disc Golf!

You can remove sharpie with an expo marker. Dry erase marker over it and then after, use a dry eraser it should come off. Not sure if that will do anything to the sticker under it or not, but it might work to get rid of the spill. Also, I'd love to have an opportunity like this in the future. You are 100% the reason I made the jump to play this sport and choose Discmania. It'd be cool to have some experience charity auction chances in the future. It'd be amazing to play with you or Eagle, similar type things would go for a lot.

The disc golf community is really unmatched when it comes to generosity and neighborly actions. I have been shown so much respect whenever I play and can tell that the top players would also show that respect if I encountered them. Thanks for the video, it was truly unique to the sport and am impressed with how both you and Michael handled the situation. It is a good reminder that not everything in life is a smooth ride, but that doesn't need to take away from the end result.
Moments like that Sharpie bomb is why we love Simon's videos. Where else have you seen such genuineness, and willingness to share such a screwup.

When collectibles things have a confirmed history/story, they almost always have greater value. The smudged stamp won't hurt it at all. It could actually help.

THIS is exactly my impression of the disc golf community. Every time I've gone out I've met kind people who look out for each other and help each other. I've even had people give me discs because they think I would like it. I love to see the disc golf community represented like this. It reminds me that I also represent the community every time I go out to play.
Wow Michael is a great guy! When you go up to play there you definitely need to play a round with him and have him caddy for you!

The tournament used P1 would be so cool to have by itself. The fact that you put that many extra discs, along with TWO Sky God 3s. Insane man. Also the guy being so cool and understanding about the accident was cool to see.

I knew the disc sold for 2750, but I had no idea it went to charity. What can I say, it only makes me like you even more.
You might not always get the best score on the course (competition-wise that is. I would get crushed like an egg :P), but while you're there, you're the best man around for sure.
And Michael definitely seems to be made out of the same mold as Simon in the personality department.

As much as I like watching you play. This was the most Inspirational blog to date
that intro reel with the christmas hat completely threw me off guard
the silver matallic sharpee ink comes off if you write over it with an ordinary dry erase marker then erase!!!!!! unlike the black ink.. this also works with black or any other ink on non porous surfaces but the silver doesn't absorb into the plastic nearly as much. I normally don't ink my discs but sometimes when throwing over water i'll throw a phone number on there in silver then wipe it off later. sounds crazy but try it out!
While that was a godly bid, for a Simon fan that is an even more godly box of discs. Hats off for going above and beyond when you didn't have to.
