Alright. HUGE Godzilla fan here to hopefully clear things up. 1. Remember that the animation is made purely for entertainment. It's the explanation at the end you need to focus on. Don't take things that happen in it too literally. Mechagodzilla may have not gotten stabbed at all. Even if Dragonzord could land it, in a real fight, it would likely just bounce off. They just put it in there for a awesome fakeout and killer finisher. The fight is meant to show one possible scenario out of many. And come on. You had to have MechaG be a boss and PULL it in further. Again, style points, baby! 2. Death Battle always looks for who would the most times out around 100 matches. This means while Dragonzord could win a few times with it, Mechagodzilla would win more often with his due to its far larger range. It's also very fast firing beam and the Zords aren't exactly known for high levels of maneuverability, even the Dragonzord. 3. While they don't go over the strength specifics of Kiryu's large arsenal of beam and missile weapons, remember these weapons are capable of doing SERIOUS damage to Godzilla, a being that the Dragonzord doesn't really compare to. Kiryu is (more or less) equal to this Godzilla. And this Godzilla has fought serious foes like Orga and Megaguirus. Over the course of a battle, Kiryu's large arsenal would overwhelm the Dragonzord's more limited one or at least buy it enough time to land a hit with AZC. 4. They looked at if you bluntly consider both moves "instant kill moves" AND if you look at both mathematically. What they trying to say is that Mechagodzilla had the advantage either way you view both finishers. 4. While it may seem silly, Godzilla surviving the AZC isn't something that's really new to the series. While each generation of Godzilla is different in terms of power, older versions have survived black-holes to the face, destroyed blackholes and beings made from black-holes, falling into volcanoes, and, I sh*t you not, going back in time and fighting the Greek Gods. There's actually an enemy named Destroyah, whom is essentially a being composed of the same energy of the Oxygen Destroyer that killed the first Godzilla, only jacked up. That's right. Godzilla survived a being with the power to destroy oxyegon molecules and was able to kill her. Surviving ridiculous things like that are just Tuesday for the big G. And remember, Godzillas atomic breath alone can match and overpower the AZC. And Kiryu can take direct blows from it. 5. The Morphin Grid is powerful, but it doesn't make those connected to it invincible or have infinite power. The Zords have lost a ton of battles. Hell, the White Tigerzord was supposed to be the Dragonzord's better, but it was completely destroyed along with the Megazord by the end of the original series. And if you guys do react to older Death Battles, try to keep in mind that they have openly admitted they know some of them don't hold up as well as their newest ones, as they didn't have as big a research team and their opinions on things have changed over time. Still, go for it! Would love for you to see them! :)
@@MrChava54 I would like to point out a few things that you are not correct: firstly the Godzilla that fight Kiryu has never fought Orga and Megaguirus. The two movie are completely reboots. As for the comic feats, I always feel like they should not be included as they are just too ridiculous. Secondly, Destoryah was not killed by Godzilla. She is surely wounded by Burning Godzilla but far from death when she is trying to GTFO. It is extreme temperature difference that killed her as the human blast her with freezer laser after she is beam by burning G. The Professor stated that he suspects the weakness of Destoroyah is extreme low temperature but he is proven wrong very soon in the military strike that failed horribly. He is not completely wrong in the end, you just need to heat her up before you can kill her with low temperature.
@@frank1002ify 1. It is still Millennium Godzilla. While they may be reboots, I feel it's not impossible to put those under his belt. And Death Battle does include things as long as they are supported by canon material. A good example is shown in Static vs Miles Morales. So I personally feel it's not TOO much of a stretch. 2. I know. The comics are pretty bonkers. My point was really that, while this Godzilla is weaker or stronger than other versions, it's not out the ordinary for most Godzillas to experience weird things like surviving the AZC, so I feel it's not an outlier to include it. 3. Yeah, I didn't want to include the specifics of Destroyahs death, as it's a long explanation. And that's not even including how Godzilla was approaching meltdown, hehe. Again, I was just trying stress the ridiculous things Godzilla goes through, as he still did attribute to Destroyahs death and survived direct combat with her. I get you though, friend. Good eye. :)
@MrChava54 "older versions have survived black-holes to the face, destroyed blackholes" If you're referring to Godzilla vs Megaguirus, then neither of those are what happened. And separate reply but "it is still Millennium Godzilla. While they may be reboots, I feel it's not impossible to put those under his belt." There are 5 Millennium Godzillas, each one is not the same. You would put every Godzilla's feat in the same belt, not just the Millenniums combined into one (Final Wars Godzilla would easily beat the Millennium era foes outside his movie)
Apparently Mecha Godzilla have a power and a force that Tommy never seen before, Unfortunately Tommy couldn’t get the ability to morph and to even up the score with the wannabe king of monsters.
I think the final attack on Mecha G didn’t work was because he’s a mech. Stabbing him isn’t the same as stabbing a non mech. It’s like stabbing the terminator Vs a normal human.
They explained it Kiryu was able to survive his own attack absolute zero cannon which was stronger the the dragonzords attack meaning the even if kiryu was hit it won't kill him out right
I'm assuming because Godzilla can't be compared to the monsters in MMPR so that finishing move didn't matter. Or maybe since Godzilla's a spirit, the physical damage didn't matter. Either way, I enjoyed the reaction! Glad you enjoyed the animation!
kiryu is more durable then EVERY MONSTER the dragonzord fought and the oth reason why is kiryu is a machine while all the other monters hit by the drill were organic thus kiryu can survive that cause it has NO VITAL ORGANS
When humans lose control of Kiryu and GhostZilla takes over your Fighting the Original Godzilla
