Ork being written on the epic encounters box drew me in , although I have not scrutinized every miniature in the box they look like great quality models
I don't think any system has had a more wild rollercoaster than Warmachine and Hordes, and I hope it works out under Steamforged because it truly is one of the strongest minis games every designed. If nothing else it'll be good to pick up the upcoming plastic two player starter set. I haven't been able to find a new in box Grolar (and no more will ever be produced) so the new Khador jacks will have to be my nostalgia treat.
I've just bought hall of the Ork king and I'm really looking forward to painting them , I think the polar bears are going to be a good challenge. At the moment I'm bouncing around half a dozen projects 5 printed models 1 of which is a set of wheels, 9 wow minis a human monk from d&d and the rest of the kt starter set 2021 edition
Great interview guys, they seem like really down to earth guys and a great company. I had never heard of Warmachine but found the Orgoth Sea Raiders Molok character pack Warjack and I ended up buying it and converting a Daemon prince as an Iron Hand who fell a very long way. Love the design of the whole world of Warmachine and can definitely see myself getting into it going forward.
These guys didn't design war machine mate. Privateer press did. These guys compeltely sacked off guild ball, blamed it on the competitive fan base, then 4 years later are blaming it on bad decisions and covid...
Steamforged is a garbage company. I know of several Australians who never received their Faraway Seas kickstarter pledges, and Steamforged has given them the runaround
Great episode. Like Matt and Rich, warmachine has been a massive part of my life and seeing it's decline in the UK over the last 5 years is a real shame. My favourite and most influential miniature game I have ever played. Downloaded the new app a couple of days ago to hopefully get some games of the latest edition.
😂 I'm an ex mechanic, I'm hoping to have a future career in modelling and painting, knowing your slicer programmes is essential to 3d printing, I'm slowly trying to learn cad and would love to design my own models, I have physical sculpting tools and I'm going to try air dry clay and armatures aswell when I have a good amount of designs
Blood berets , mutant chronicles was a game that tried to compete in the market against games workshop 31yrs old blood berets is now ,that's the first boxed game i bought in the past few years
They make good boardgames, and they seem like good guys, but holy shit I need you to use your connections to get them to stop getting popular licenses for TTRPG and making the most ass-backwards phoned in 5e-slop conversions and start making bespoke games for them. They clearly have the skillset and it is *painful* every time it happens.
Malifaux is actually booming guys . What sucks about malifaux is their stupidly small kits. Having a face made of 3 parts is ridiculous. It's by far the best skirmish game out there though the mechanics are awesome. No idea what "hips" is. Be nice if you guys explained what you're talking about. The models are plastic same sort of plastic as games workshops stuff
"High impact polystyrene"; hard injection-mold plastic such as GW uses. Very low material cost and easy to produce in quantity mechanically. The big hurdle (aside from engineering and the machinery) on a per-unit basis is the steel molds are very intensive to machine and therefore costly. Malifaux, IIRC, gets around this some by using aluminum molds for their injection molding which is easier to machine but doesn't last as long, although they don't need large quantities for their size.
@@darnon2031 yeah I know the molds cost like 10k and that the sleeves can be changed out and stuff I didn't know it was called high impact I've just always known it as a plastic that has polystyrene in it lol thanks for explaining it all to me much appreciated
Ironic that one of the biggest things PP did to shoot themselves in the foot was pulling an End Times/AoS resetting the setting after GW doing so had been one of the major boons to Warmachine's popularity.
I loved warmachine and I would like it to succeed, but frankly I would rather support nearly any other hobby company than Steamforged, they have repeatedly screwed over crowdfunding backers, treated fans poorly and screwed over local game stores on multiple occasions which is why so many won't touch them. A shame as they make some good games

It became more expensive than GW combined with a toxic community or WAAC and gameplay like MTG with miniatures killed it

Oh yeah and paint.. I went in on P3 for the full range when it launched and they remain some of my favourite paints!

I love monopoly, I love Star wars too but I didn't bite on monopoly reskined
I'm 123 on Deadpool

Wait, what the heck happened with that Monopoly anecdote... did Pat drift off for a second? 😂
Yeah man, proper away with the faries 😂
Loved Warmachine. Though as a past Protectorate player I have very mixed feelings about Mk4
Same here.
Good luck with Warmachine, ducked out shortly after Mk 3 release and what I have seen of Mk 4 does not interest me in the least.

I'm a infinity player and some of teh female models are kinda fiddly, but that's why I play mainly heavy infantry XD
@@Direwoof yeah infinity models can be fiddly but they're nothing like malifaux lol

Details in a sculpt are like solos in music. Small amount in the right places is great but if it's all solo, no one wants that.

Re. Guildball: Fumbled the message? Nice that the original announcement is now gone because that statement is self serving and disingenuous.
If our fights were as funny as this video, we would always make up with laughter🌺
Oh yay the guys who completely killed guild ball. Nice one
Yeah we get it and we did make sure, that this was talked about.
