- Using the unpatched v.1.0 edition I found I was still able to use the freeze grenade glitch to climb and clear the invisible walls that keep Batman locked in Arkham City. Beautiful to glide through Gotham in hi res high frame rates and see the original Asylum island up close.

Its incredible how they went through the trouble to remodel/added and fine tune some of the buildings. I honestly don't know why people hate these remasters.

Remasters may have some minor shortcomings in other places visually but i love how they put extra effort to bump the detail of the Gotham backdrop a bit. Especially Asylum. Before it was a garbled mess now its actually high quality scenery directly from Arkham Asylum

ikr its mainly cause of the moon and the color they give to the clouds and also how the clouds move though there are places on earth that provide this effect in the northern hempshere and high places like the Alps or Alaska eh the planet too can be weird

@JB Studios Grand Theft Auto are the best for these kinds of things. They literally always try and include some Easter Egg in the out of bounds area. The first and arguably the best was GTA 3 where you could use a truck to climb into a secret blocked off area with a sign on a hidden wall saying “You Weren’t Supposed To Be Able To Get Here You Know”.

It's seems like all of Arkham city loads at once in this version. On the original if you did the glitch it was noticeable that only half the island was rendered at a time depending on where you were
Not only can Batman fly for a long time in the air, but he can fly underground too
Theory batmans belt is a portal to a new universe that he stores his items in thats why he has so many freeze grenades

I like the map in Arkham Knight, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer this Gotham instead. Just look at how big & tall the buildings are. Something just hits right here.

@Lansky We were promised a fully explorable Gotham City. That’s not what we got. Surely the parts of Gotham in City and Origins count as part of the city.
First, those buildings' heights and sizes are sheer and totally pointless.
Second, those architectures are far less fascinating than what we got.
Third, the variety of the use in AK architecture are more several and awesome than this.
Anyway, we still demand a bigger map.

First, that city we see in this game IS Gotham. No if’s and’s or but’s about it. Ripped straight from the comic. You may be the first idiot I’ve ever heard complaining that skyscrapers in an open world superhero game would be TOO BIG! Do they all have to be huge? No of course not you cretin. But when we are promised a Gotham, it would be nice if we got the version we have only dreamt of since playing this game and marvelling at the world outside.
Second, am I complaining completely about the game? Fucking of course not. I still love Knight, and love what we got all things considered. Free roaming around Gotham be it either by gliding or Batmobile in that game is one of my favourite things to do in a superhero game. I am simply agreeing with the above first comment that it could have been better had we been given a Gotham on this scale. Does it have to replace the map we got. No, that’s not what I said is it? We could have got the map from that game AS WELL AS another area that was far more along the lines of this skyline and while they were at it, Rocksteady could surely have included the maps from City and Origins at least since yes, that does count as Gotham, and what were we promised? Oh yeah, that’s right. A fully explorable entirety of Gotham.
Third, is anyone DEMANDING anything? No. Get your facts straight before you start trying to bring people down. I, like so many others before me, am clearly just voicing my opinion that everything could be improved. Nothing is perfect, and while on the whole I am happy with what we got, I am disappointed we did not at least get an extra area that was at least bearing of some continuing resemblance to this vision of the city that is pretty much exactly the perfect Gotham from the comics animated series. If you seriously think that you can sit atop your high horse and judge fans for seeing simply how something could be improved then you’re a pathetic moron who is in desperate need of a reality check. Now lighten the hell up and fuck off.
