I am a flight attendant and she was one of my worst celebrities on the plane...just rude and super entitled. I was sad I even acknowledged her because I was watching her on Insecure at the time. You would think she was an A list celebrities.

After this, I gasped and said I love your work and told her I watch every episode of Insecure. That was all I said. I never acknowledge celebrities because to me they're normal people and more than likely want to relax. Difficult people are usually the last ones to know that they're the problem. I remember a few episodes of The Real where Amanda was seen rolling her eyes while the other women spoke. It was obvious that she did not respect their opinions and that the show was too fluffy for her. That made me look at her differently. Im very surprised by Bruno Mars. I really enjoy him as a person and as an artist. He's true talent that came from very humble beginnings. How does one expect a group of people gauging their success based on proximity to white people to be loyal and support you for being woke? Every time I see her, she’s complaining. She just comes off as someone with some deeper personal issues that she’s not properly dealing with and is now looking to place the blame on someone besides herself.

After this, I gasped and said I love your work and told her I watch every episode of Insecure. That was all I said. She gave me this look and thank you as if why are you talking to me...I let her get seated and didn't think anything of it. I just figured she wasn't feeling it. I never acknowledge celebrities because to me they're normal people and more than likely want to relax. She was in first class and I gave her my normal introduction that I gave everyone and she barely let me finish and instead waves her hand at me as if she were to shoo someone and says she doesn't want anything...I said in my head say less and kept it pushing and didn't bother her for the rest of the flight. As the young kids say it's the tone for me...hhahaha She could have been going through something...it was off putting and made me think a little differently. Difficult people are usually the last ones to know that they're the problem. I remember a few episodes of The Real where Amanda was seen rolling her eyes while the other women spoke. It was obvious that she did not respect their opinions and that the show was too fluffy for her. That made me look at her differently. Here she was a grown woman acting like a teenage girl at a job that she accepted. Hopefully she's able to make a transition that will stick.

The debate around Amanda Seales is exactly why I feel like trying to get anything done in the black community in the US is futile. Im very surprised by Bruno Mars. I really enjoy him as a person and as an artist. He's true talent that came from very humble beginnings. It is not her personality that is an issue. She speaks up and out about real issues that affect our community and some don't care, don't understand, or are on the wrong side of truth. She has to be ok with not always fitting in not to mention she is smart and there are some that don't like smart, funny, black women and the minute they speak up for our community or themselves it's an issue. She needs to continue doing her thing, but don't expect everyone to support or in this case be cordial because they won't that usually means you're going in the right direction.

Amanda Seales is one of those people who "keeps it real" until it goes wrong. But the problem is when it goes wrong, she'll double down. I don't know if it's pride or the narcissistic need to be right. Amanda may make excellent points on certain subjects & defend certain issues that need defending, but at the end of the day, she is her worst enemy. Why? Because she never turns off, she's always on
I think she is a righteous person and an unrighteous industry and that’s where her frustrations lie. I can tell she has a sense of morality and that doesn’t bode well in entertainment.
