This making me tear up - such a great adventure! Here be an Ode to my travels: In the heart of the Empire, where legends arise, A professor wanders ‘neath the vast, open skies. With parchment and ink, he charts realms untold, Exploring the fabric of Imperial history bold. From Altdorf’s grand spires to distant fields wide, He seeks out the whispers of those who have died. In ancient tomes and forgotten lore, He uncovers the tales of valour and war. Through bustling bazaars where merchants engage, He listens to stories that dance off the page. With each revelation, his passion ignites, As he weaves the past into dazzling insights. His heart beats with fervour for the Empire’s fate, For the triumphs and trials that shape every state. With each lecture delivered, each student inspired, He fuels the flame of knowledge, never tired. So raise up a glass to the scholar so wise, Who journeys through history, ‘neath the stars in the skies. For in every adventure, in every new find, He preserves the Empire, its spirit entwined. Yours truly, Dr Steffan Hoffman ☺ Awesome video and campaign! Looking forward to what more journeys we may embark upon together!
I’m a construction foreman working long hours and fighting through hard times; your channel brings me a welcomed distraction and helps me recoup from the daily struggle, thank you for your work!
Thank you for joining us on this journey through Nuln which story is rich with history, industry, and resilience. What was your favorite part of Dr. Steffan Hoffman's tale? Your support means the world, and we're thrilled to have been able to explore the lands and provinces of the Empire with you. We thank you for watching, and as always, stay tuned - The Tyranids (WH40K) are coming soon with a new video!
@@derwolf3006 Glad you enjoyed them! At the beginning I was a bit worried about adding too much of that because people come to learn the lore, but I think little pieces of role playing here and there can make up for an engaging lore dive. Any ideas for future episode are always more than welcome! And thanks a lot for watching the series my friend!
@@TheBookofChoyer You know at the start I was a bit sceptical, but in the end I think you found a very nice balance. It really made the storys more engaging, in the way of relatability. It was very interesting to see the "human side" of the lore and I highly appreciate this sort of story telling. As far as ideas for future episodes, I would like to see the "human side" of the many battles, armys, etc. But I also think that that dosent really matter, since I hold the believe that anything you do in the future will be as epic as now. I look forward to the tyranids my friend.
@@derwolf3006 I really appreciate your kind words 🙌 and thanks for the idea! We'll give it form in the near future as a more action oriented adventure would be awesome too. Have a great weekend!! 😃
I hope we never say goodbye to this series. There's so much storytelling potential and the Warhammer world is so immense. Keep it up Doctor Hoffman, we love listening to your stories
The long journey of our good Dr Steffan Hoffman is finally over. Nuln is my favorite city and I'm glad to see Dr Steffan Hoffman return home to rest and talk about his home. He's earned this rest. This series was so beautiful and I'm glad to have seen it through to the end. Thank you so much for such a beautiful experience seeing this story unfold.
I haven't had such a warm feeling like this since the end of LoTR! So thank you for everything! Been a pleasure to be part of this Fellowship! Good journies Brothers & Sisters!
You truly are a channel set above the rest. You are more than one of the multitude lore channels; you make this fantasy world feel alive and plausible. You create and regale us. To that, I say well done! Thank you for these past adventures. I thoroughly look forward to the next ones. They make the drudgery of office work a bit more enjoyable and pass a bit quicker.
This has been a most wonderful journey, thank you for taking us along with it. And before the good Dr. Hoffman takes off to his next journey, let's give him some rest. He needs time to heal his knee, though I believe he is in capable hands. Who knows, maybe in the next journey, a miss Lena Hoffman will accompany him? ;)
Also, to add a bit more to this video in general, I have the suspicion that one source of inspiration for Nuln was the German city of Ulm. Aside from the similar name, Ulm likewise is a major city renowned for its scholars and industry. It's lesser known compared to Munich or Berlin, but houses the tallest church in the world, the cathedral Ulm Minster. It's also home to one of Germany's largest arms manufacturers, Walther, who history buffs know for their legendary P08 Parabellum. It is that weapons manufacturer, who marked the city as a prime target for allied bombing raids during the war, where large swathes of the city were razed in moments - a parallel to the Skaven attack on Nuln, it seems to me.
Thank you. I have developed Periodontal Disease and this is now my ritual, listening to this and doing my nightly brushing and chlorhexidine cleansing. Your fine wordsremind me that my nightly ritual is far for more important than I thought
Yes! Im more than pleased with this outcome, though I still think a "guard/soldier of..." style series could be interesting. Anyway thank you so much for your work, its always something to look forward to.
Thanks for your words good sir! and I agree! A soldier focused series would be more action packed and could open up other ways of storytelling while still learning about the lore of WHFantasy. Great suggestion! 🙌
I'm not normally one to d ride like this, but it really is a crime your videos don't get more viewers. Especially nowadays with everything being AI crafted, phoned in half-assery, while this channel makes legitimate well crafted and performed content.
this whole series describing warhammer fantasy lore from the prospective of someone living in the world has been so amazing, loved every second of it, cannot wait for whatever you come up with next
Could you someday do a similar one with the 10 kingdoms of the High Elves in Ulthuan or the different Holds of the Dawi? Perhaps Either from the perspective of a Human explorer, or that of their own native race. (Of course you are most likely tired by this fine trip, but I would like to ask if this idea is at all possible in the distant future.)
Welcome aboard! Good purchase! Hours of strategy and fun await you. And thanks for your words! I can recommend you this video we did a while back if you want to know the basic lore about each faction in the game: th-cam.com/video/FAlrFbf3x0o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aDWXkjddBZeo1ltu
Good was it to follow the wise Dr. Hoffmann. Hope he'll recover hastily. We will eagerly wait for his next adventures. Maybe he'll treat us with the Duchies of fair Bretonnia. Maybe he reserves us an even better surprise. Only Sigmar knows.
Can you please do a series like this, but from a military tactics professor, who can explain the units needed to fight and win historic battles? Teaching battle tactics at a military academy.
Great series! Loved every single episode of it! I just have one simple question... What became of that "cursed blade" that Hoffmann aquired in the Badlands? It looked quite chaotic for my taste
Great question! And Thanks for following Dr. Hoffman's adventures. The video you are looking for is this one: th-cam.com/video/PR3e16Guy08/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RwkqYSd1kSbAGtEY In that video, Dr. Hoffman faces what the cursed blade had in store for him and it is quite an episode, it is one of those that I really loved to make. I wont say more to not spoil it to you. Cheers my friend!
Is that some remix of "Weight of the World" from Nier Automata? It fits, considering how far this guy has traveled so far. I imagine your next set of videos will take Hoffman to the Darklands, Mountains of Morne, Grand Cathay, Ind, Nippon, and perhaps even the wastes beyond the Great Wall or even the Dark Lands.
I look forward to possible series about the empire's former land of Solland the doctor visiting Kislev and bretonnia, former province of Empire Marianburg and maybe the lands of the dwarves and the Elves 😊 just thinking and spitballing ideas.
Dr Hoffman took an arrow to the knee but refuses to let that hinder him for adventuring across the world of Warhammer. What I'm saying is that the guards from Skyrim are a bunch of pansies. I really enjoy the good doctor's adventures. A great way to spend time painting and assembling minis.

I cannot believe how good this series has been. Not just professional but top notch production, scripting, and storytelling. Brilliant.
This series is fantastic! "cinematic lore" is so much more engaging than someone reading the wiki off!

Ah yes. You even finished it properly! No katana cut. A proper fade to black with crackling fireplace. Awesome!

Absolute gem of a series here. Keep at it! So much more engaging then almost anything else of its sort out there.

I deeply love your work, thank you
Absolutely fantastic work it’s amazing!
Love that the story ends in Nuln, which is the Warhammer equivalent of my real life hometown of Cologne/Köln
An incredible journey the good doctor has been on. He deserves Lena and a period to be a wise professor before his next adventure.
