That Dauntless battleship really lived up to its name going headfirst into the fire of two bellators and being the only ship to come out of the engagement alive, her captain is probably swimming in medals for that

That Dauntless really channelled the spirit of Snunb, going against TWO Bellators and coming out victorious.

I think it'd be really cool if someone made a Mod that allowed you to send a fleet into a system, then send a second one.
The effect would be the first fleet jumps in and battle starts as usual, but a Reinforcements Arrival timer starts and after a number if minutes, you gain access to the other fleet.
They jump in and max out what ever population limit you have in the battle (Prioritizing ships placed closest to the Scout spot on the fleet arrangement). The rest are added to your reinforcement.

    In this mod, Luke gets a really big glow up after Endor;
Virgin Pre-Endor Luke: 1* General = measly 5% combat bonus, very squishy, meh ability, always forced to go into melee when attacking, thus always a big risk when bringing him along
Chad Post-Endor Luke: 3* General = whopping 15% combat bonus, reasonably tanky, on par with Vader and Kota but without escorts, abilities now shreds infantry, pure melee unit because he's a Jedi Master now

Luke is absolutely insane post-Endor. Even without an escort like Vader or Kota, Luke dominates the ground. It's crazy. Loving his new stats.

You know I don't like to be that guy, but this series would be significantly different if the AI targeted starfighters properly. My guess is there's a container problem in the XML for the AI targeting.

My headcanon for how vader lives is that he just wasnt at endor, so luke turned himself in and just killed Palpatine just like that. now vader is emperor hence why no warlords or operation cinder/first order recall, so luke has to try to redeem his father while the empire fights on and palpy is chilling on byss or exegol getting ready to come back as per usual.

Love the vids keep them coming, and I'll keep commenting tips and backseat gaming stuff, as always separated into different paragraphs......
Luke is arguably one of the best rebel space heroes due to his potential for the most carnage with lucky shot, it is a subsystem delete button and when cycled well enough (like you did) can destroy a fleet with a fighter swarm, but this game isn't EU lore accurate so he has his weaknesses....... DO NOT leave Luke unattended against enemy ties and anti fighter ships, Carracks and Lancers can delete fighters and Luke is of course a prioritised target, use your X, A and U wings to delete enemy squadrons first before sending Luke in, R-2 can only repair so much.......
Expanding on the fighter and subsystem prioritisation, if you have enough X and A wings, you can theoretically completely ignore hangers if your opponents don't have much in reserve, hover over each ship's fighter composition and see how many squadrons they have in their hangar still, because with a strong enough swarm of X wings you can straight up skip targeting the hangar bay, each tie destroyed is one more credit (if you control a space scrapyard, Raxus Prime is the usual rebel planet)
As you've experienced in the double Bellator fight, SSDs are easy game without proper fighter escorts, Bellators are especially squishy and weak against fighters since its main prowess is mid to long range firepower, and a boost engine ability to make a quick escape should the enemy get too close...... suffice to say Dave the AI doesn't really understand how best to use it, great win, but don't just hope on more enemy blunders
Again on battles be it space or ground, the auto resolve button can do some real heavy lifting when you have a big enough army and the enemy too few actual "units", for some reason in auto resolve buildings aren't worth as much as units, so if you overpower a planetary defence enough auto resolve will be relatively give you the win with little to no casualties........ This applies to whatever level of space station, outpost, and defence system. The auto resolve ai thinks its easier to win deathless against Lv.II outposts than fighting a squad of stormtroopers....... Is it cheese? Absolutely! But is it crazy satisfying to save yourself a bloody 30 minute struggle with one click of a button, trading one CR90 for the destruction of a Lv.3 space station, 2 Golan IIs, with a hypervelocity cannon.......
Big vehicles and terrain is also slightly janky, so I don't really recommend anything that can't engage mid to long range, and is one of the reasons artillery is so strong on the ground. In space as well, I recommend the MC80 Alliance variant, it is basically a Victory class expanded into a MC80 hull plus steroids, it can easily delete shield generators and capital ships, plus the long range means you can "siege" down each station and force them to leave the safety of their space station....... plus it gives your fighters and bombers ample time to intercept and ruin any chances they have on even reaching your ships
One more thing, this game is pretty much FTL but bigger and with a Star Wars paint over it, by that I mean there is no shame in pause-micro, I understand this might be bad in a video and gaming perspective, but effective ability usage and system targeting will win you almost every battle. Don't be afraid to pause the game in battle or on the galactic map, you need time to organise and prepare, the ai doesn't because they are dummies who right click the enemy........

      Excellent comment.
Noted. He's a great hero, super powerful in space and doesn't cost a lot for his damage output. He's incredible, and you are absolutely right _ Luke can be lost so easily if focused on. I'll make sure I keep him around the starfighter pack to stay defended.
Fascinating! Using the TIE-Fighters as another source of income from scrap is not something I ever thought of. Hm, that's actually a really interesting tip. I'll keep that one in mind. That's really creative. Good Stuff!
Oh, man. I just recorded the next episode, and I used that auto-resolve once - it was INCREDIBLE. It's so good to be back to using it like in the RAW series. I'll definitely give it a shot against the other well-defended targets. Probably will be super helpful as we push further into the Core. I even gave a name for the autoresolve cheese because of how often I used it previously, haha. Stay tuned for the next ep!
Honestly, I've never really tried the MC-80 Alliance that extensively before. Now that you've mentioned how valuable it is as an artillery ship, I'll definitely give it a try paired with some Twin-Blade Frigates for that long-range fire.
Yes, you're definitely right. Pausing frequently is something that makes these victories far more attainable. I'll be testing it out more as we proceed through the series.
Thank you so much for these amazing tips. They're so helpful, seriously. I'm jotting them down and trying to incorporate as many as I can. One question, though: how do A-Wings fit into the whole Rebel fighter roster? Are they effective at starfighter-to-starfighter combat or just starfighter-to-bomber? I used to use A-Wings extensively in dogfights, but many have told me that they're paper-thin. Thoughts?

A wings are the rebel equivalent of the tie interceptor, they’re fast, has an ability to boost engines, and can easily outrun most ships in the game. The downside is as mentioned, it’s very squishy. Normally thanks to rebel buffs (be it planetary or with heros) A wings are good enough to win against a stray tie squadron or two, but they obviously do a much better job in their designated role as a bomber interceptor. You don’t see bombers flanking and destroying your shield generators much because the AI doesn’t strategically plan their attacks, and so it’s usually bad to dive your A wings into an incoming fighter swarm just to get to the bombers within…… and by hard I mean hard to click those targets……
A wings do shine the most when handling bombers, but don’t be shy afterwards and you can just let them dogfight ties. Jan Dodanna gives a very nice discount to A wing squadrons, and most mid-late game rebel capital ships has a squad or two in their hangar, i recommend you use them as your quick response fighters, they’re very versatile just like the rest of the rebel fighter roster, but are just as paper thin as Y wings
The main thing about rebel fighter superiority should be being “free”, by that I mean using ship deployed squadrons only. I know that doesn’t sound like a proper rebel strategy, but there’s a reason why 10 Quasars can be a death stack. When you lose those free squadrons, they don’t hurt you nor your credit score one bit, think of it as a long term investment. You can spend 600 credits on each individual X and Y wing squadrons, but with 6000 credits you get them permanently for free in every battle (as long as your carriers survive). Each individually bought squadron is no different from those freely deployed squadrons, but the difference is those freely deployed squadrons don’t matter much because if they die? They’ll just respawn next battle with 0 cost. The few fighter squadrons I ever buy and deploy individually are B and H wings (for some flanking and sub system deleting), the only others being heroes for that sweet sweet combat bonus
I’d recommend start switching production from individual fighter squadrons to carriers and capital ships, it’s a whole different game and you can stand toe to toe against the empire in a proper space broadside battle (and if your ships survive it’s a very nice credit to combat ratio). I know this sounds like very nerdy talk, but smart credit usage is a big part of the game, many people forget that this is an RTS when in space and ground, but it’s a grand strategy on the galactic map, and the ai will always have more credits because of difficulty cheats.
Spend wisely, and win battles with minimal cost and casualties, that’s how you win galactic civil wars……

Can you make me as a hero but as one of those Empire dreadnoughts and as my back story is that I use to server the galactic empire but they betrayed me and my crew by try to sacrificing my ship as a test dummy for the death star laser but I said no so they try killing me and my crew because we didn't want to be the test dummy that would be my storyline
