I’m not being over dramatic when I say that Anna accusing Brittany of being a escort based on nothing and being delighted to spread the rumor is one of the most malicious things I’ve seen a contestant do.
It was seriously horrible to watch that. I’ve never been so bothered by something I’ve watched on the Bachelor.
Yeah and she really didn’t take a second to think if it would affect Brittany after the show. It’s just incredibly evil
And on top of that, the producers thinking it’s a good idea to put it in air

I don’t think the producers realize that we are done with seeing women tear down other women. Or just people bullying in general.
It always comes across as sexist to me that women on almost all seasons of The Bachelor are chosen to be dramatic and argumentative. We need more women supporting other women.

None of this has been entertaining. It just makes you feel gross watching it. Things like Michelle and Matts date are the kind of things we want to see. Or matt dancing for Magi. A little natural drama is fine but this is so forced and really low.
It is all just so painful and upsetting. It hurts as a viewer to see this. I can't imagine the pain the contestants endure.
I've never disliked a girl on this show as much as I dislike Anna, not even Victoria or Peter's girls. The look on her face while she's ruining someone's life is vile.

Anna is defs a bully and she better own up to her behaviour but girls like Victoria P and Sydney from Peters season were awful and blatantly bullied, lied and gas lit Alayah off the show and they never took accountability and the show protected them. Disgusting.

That was my thought exactly when watching this recap. Record applications and this is what we get. So disappointed in the show.
Its a way to lie and make the fanbase not seem racist. Get a black bachelor...but the plainest women in history to be his potential mates.
When Katie is the only person in bachelor history to address a toxic environment to help improve other situations WITHOUT tattling and calling out specific ppl
Especially that she didn't do it in a way to flirt with him like "all the girls are toxic and spreading rumours, I am worried about you choosing the right person - me me me kiss me" kind of way. She did in in a serious worried friend way - hi we have a problem, take care of it. She did what the producers should have done.

Because they are telling them to talk about certain people, they are promoting this thinking it’s funny like the movie Mean Girls which was a smart and insightful comedy with actors not real people. Like how many women are behind the scenes on this show going “yeah, we want people to perceive us as absolute bitches” when it’s what most women have been trying to fight against that stereotype. I can’t watch the show, but Fantake is just amazing with his edits and he GETS IT!
I agree. This was the final straw. My friends and I are going to boycott this show. It's just too negative and toxic. The only way ABC will realize they crossed the line is when it hits them in the ratings and their bottom line.

@Info Tech completely agree. I was thinking the same thing. If it was a female lead she would march out there in a minute and give them the business. If a man did the same thing, people would lose their minds. BUT he still could (and hopefully does) address it without having the same attitude that a female lead could get away with. He could tell them that bullying is something he won’t tolerate, without sounding like he’s just being a big angry man.
Katie is the mature woman I for some reason thought MJ. Happy Katie is a great person and sad that MJ turned out to be one of the mean girls
They’re all mean girls in my eyes. Bystanders are just as bad. You laugh along, you don’t say anything you just make it worse. I can only genuinely like Katie with a good conscience and all the new girls of course.
MJ is 23 and Katie is 29. That explains a lot about the level of maturity.

At this point, Matt is a side character in his own season and rather than focusing on romance and love connections, the show is focused on bullying and toxicity. Last nights episode and the one prior were disgusting to watch. The behavior of Anna, MJ, Victoria, and every girl on the group of “OGs” talking trash about the “newbies” when Katie spoke up during the date all need to go home.

That's how these shows are. They're not about love, they're about drama and petty bullshit.
The producer involvement this season is HORRIBLE. I feel like Matt had the potential to be a good lead but the drama with the women just contaminates the season.
This season is so upsetting. I am so upset with the producers. The show is almost unbearable to watch because of how cruel Victoria and the others are. This isn't entertaining "drama"; it's straight cruelty. Behavior like this shouldn't be rewarded with endless screen time. :(
I tried to think this through as "a trick of editing" but there's so much overwhelming cruelty being said that in any context shit is just outright cruel. :(

Yeah! Like Abigail is not as innocent or as nice as she appears. The producers are editing her out of the drama because they want to give her the bachelorette treatment or because she’s going to get far with Matt. But in the scene when Victoria is telling Brittany that she should just leave, Victoria looks at Abigail and they laugh all mean girl and shit. That’s not ok!
I really didn’t think it was possible for me to dislike a cast more than I disliked Peter’s cast, but...here we are. Don’t get me wrong, some of these women are real gems, but why are so many of these girls immature, toxic bullies? Bachelor Producers, bullying isn’t the “drama” we want. 🤦🏻♀️
Peter's cast as a whole was dislikeable. This cast at least some bright spots.

This season literally has some of the most malicious and disgusting creatures I've ever seen as contestants.
Also I'll say it again: Katie is the most decent person in that house to me. She's the only one standing up to the bullies and pulling the victims aside to hear their side of the story and give them a helping hand. She has so much compassion and strength. She's definitely getting a great edit on the show, so I hope that means she'll end up becoming the mature bachelorette we all deserve.

When Victoria said “then get out of the house” we see a person laughing with her but their face is cropped out (which was Abigail). We’ve seen that she participated in the Sarah drama and laughing with Victoria does not give her a good image. I think producers are trying to give her a good edit for a chance at bachelorette.
Oh yes the franchise trying to make up for this dumpster fire and their fake inclusiveness would give themselves HUGE pats on the back “The first. Deaf. Bachelorette. EVER.”

It's honestly so frustrating at this point how much the producers focus on selling all of this mean spirited bullying as entertaining television. A lot of these women seem really despicable (like Victoria, Anna, MJ, etc.) in how they've been acting, but I also get the sense that there are some probably really genuine women on the show that they haven't been focusing on enough. Obviously Katie has really stood out as someone who is classy, but additionally some other women like Bri, Rachel, Magi, Serena, Abigail, and now Michelle seem to be staying out of all of this (at least from the way it's edited). I don't doubt that they have less horrible footage to show, but clearly the producers have not learned anything from how well Tayshia's season went. I really don't know if I can stand watching an episode all about shaming a woman for potentially being an escort.
Edit: I'm also not saying it's always okay to be a bystander, and in an ideal situation all of the women who haven't really been involved in this would be more like Katie and try to stop the bullying, but I could very much see how, if they're trying to stay out of the drama, it'd be a lot less clear to them what was actually going on. As the audience we're presented with a pretty clear narrative of 'good guy, bad guy', and we see conversations that not all the other women get to see, but at the same time we DON'T see a lot of stuff. Essentially, on such a heavily edited show it's a lot easier to judge actions (like Victoria being overall despicable and Katie being an upstander), compared to inactions.

My thoughts exactly. Producers thought they could take the high road and bring up bullying during that segment and they go right back into that BS and green-light all the bullying for drama. 🙄
ABC and the Bachelor producers really need to answer for this whole “escort” narrative. As was said in the video, it’s dangerous and wildly exploitative wether it’s true or not. It’s not something that should be tossed around for drama.

My fiancé is only vaguely aware of what's going on because I watch the show and he catches glimpses of it here and there and he walked into the living room last night, saw Victoria, stopped in his tracks, and went: "WHY IS SHE STILL HERE!?!?!?!?!??!" Even a casual observer is sick of this girl
My husband broke his hip, so he's mostly immobile. This is the first time I could force- erm, convince him to watch the show with me. He was literally screaming at the TV by show's end. X-D

Katie shutting Victoria down (when Victoria asked for an apology) had to be the highlight of this episode for me. I would be thrilled if Katie were to become the next bachelorette.

Maybe she laughed because of how uncomfortable of a situation this was. Many people don't know how to act when other people are being rude to someone else and just don't want the attention to be towards them. I am physically sick to my stomach and so disgusted after watching this episode. Any chance of liking Matt or being invested in his journey now is just long gone. It is so uncomfortable to watch these girls treat each other they way they have, because the producers knowingly picked THESE people to come on the show. Even if something did come out of left field - they see and hear what the girls are saying. They just don't care.

Maybe she laughed because of how uncomfortable a situation this was. Many people don't know how to act when other people are being rude to someone else and just don't want the attention to be towards them. The Bachelor franchise really gave us one of the more romantic and unproblematic seasons in a long time with Tayshia to just straight mean girls where no one has an actual connection with the lead
Ugh I'm so disappointed. I tuned in for Tayshia's season for the first time since JoJo Fletcher was the bachelorette, and I was blown away by how amazing Tayshia is and how warm and fuzzy and romantic it felt to watch her on the one on ones, especially near the end. Yes there was drama but Tayshia handled it well and I got so invested in her journey. So with that in mind I decided to give the Bachelor a try this season and it's a complete 180 unfortunately.
It's frustrating knowing that they CAN bring us a great season like they just did with the Bachelorette, yet they gave us this bs instead for Matt's season. When Matt is on the one on ones I feel anxious thinking about how the woman is going to go back to the group and get ripped apart.
Hopefully in later episodes once the main culprits are eliminated, I can actually enjoy the finding love aspect of the show again. But for now, UGH. 🤬

what frustrates me the most is that besides katie none of the women confronted anyone about the bullying
My theory is that the group date day portion was cancelled because Matt wanted some time for himself after Sara left. During the evening they didn’t talk anything about the day activity.
