@GigaDager Yes this is Pokey. Pokey was a mistranslation, his actual name is Porky. Hence the pig theme, New Pork City, Pig King, Pork Troopers etc. Super Smash Brothers Brawl fixed this mistranslation and refereed to Pokey as Porky, or else all the pig jokes don't make sense. So the fan translation of MOTHER 3 uses Porky because that's the name Brawl used and it makes sense for all the jokes.
Compare Mother 3's Porky to Earthbound's Porky.
"Porky apologized profusely!" - Nothing.
"!? ...What did Porky do?!" - 150 DAMAGE.
