So glad I found your channel! I'm a long time watch nerd and vid watcher. Excellent presentation and b shots. Looking forward to catching up on your catalog. Keep up the good work. 😊👍
Can mechanical watches serve in the military? Probably. I personally used a digital Armitron. Lasted me in basic training and deployment. This one would be a good piece as jewelry when doing the office side of military life.
I don't think the ETA movement gets 80 hours of power reserve. The H-50, yes, tested, but the ETA has more beats per minute, so I think you will get more like 60. Or less.
Analog mechanical and quartz watches still have some advantage over battery powered watches, including g shocks, whose batteries fail in very low temperatures. Also, analog is much easier to read than digital displays, especially at harsh angles. Mechanical and quartz analog watches also serve as a good backup in cases of extended stays in the field where charging of smart devices is not possible.
Screw down crown, AR coating and lumed number numerals(okay juat put the light color dials if what they are thinking is to become on stealth mode🥷) You buy a watch to see the time even in the dark or upon waking up. Unless you are from ukraine or war area then the no lume makes sense
Your chart showing the watch dimensions was beautifully-done! It shows so much information so quickly and so elegantly!

Tell that to people who served during the 60s and 70s
100% it’s used by service soldiers. I know this for a fact.
@@ejjrl1ify I'm sure, but your ground pounders use a digital watch.
Awesome vid !!!!
Thanks!!

What can you do with a 50m wr? I wish it was 100m
50m water resistance ruins this watch
Field watches became obselete as a tool the moment G-Shocks and the likes came into the game. They still look cool though I'll give them that.

Also, g shock and smart watches are atrociously ugly
Mine runs at +2 sec per day..!!!
5 bars 😂.. what a great field watch…
I was told never to wind my watch while it is on my wrist.
Why?
I GOT A MILITADO FOR 48 DOLLARS EXACTLY THE SAME, WELL NOT THE SAME 100 METERS OF WR
