You'll see what i'm talking about in the video, but instead of using a flat head screwdriver to loosen and tighten the bracket on the fuel filter, it looks like you can alternatively use a 10mm (not sure of the exact size) socket, which should make it much easier!

I have a question if you dont mind, first thank you for the video, you would be surprised on how hard it has been to find any information on these cars with the steel tank. The one hose with the male connector, where does that connect to inside the tank? The car I am working on unfortunately sat with a full tank of ethanol gas for 8 years, and all the hoses inside were extremely brittle, and Im hoping that the connector for that hose in question hasn't broken off. Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Hi! If you're referring to the male connectors on the fuel pump, start the video at the 9:10 mark, I show where the orange male goes into the fuel filter and also the green male.

and there is a male port coming from the drivers side (inside the tank) that goes into the orange female port of the fuel pump. And the other male port inside the tank on the passenger side goes into the single port side of the fuel filter.

@@SocketDaddy Okay, so the hose that comes from the center port of the fuel pump splits in a Y the the left side of the hose goes to the fuel filter, where does that other side connect to the end of it is a male connector, and Im not sure where it leads to inside the tank? After sitting for 8 years in ethanol gas all the plastics were extremely brittle and Im wondering if the connector snapped off inside the tank for that right side of the Y split that ends in a Male end on your video.

@@Phoxzy So the right side of that 'Y', is a female connector. The male that attaches comes from inside the tank, which is the male end.
