    You are brilliant! Thanks for putting out so much good information! This is much cheaper than a data science degree.

    Love your tutorials.. clear, crisp, and easy on the ears. I am sure the course you offer on your website is amazing but I will have to save up for it :)) but for now would love some more detail on certain topics e.g. campaign tracking, goals, conversions, especially if you could go into a little more detail on Google Optimize MVT. You are a lifesaver. Thank you!

      I’ve added your suggestions to my lost of requested topics. And, yes, my courses cover these types of topics too.

    Hello. Finally a helpful video, thanks. I have one question. How can I delete campaign on google analytics? Can't find a option for it.

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Martin, you can’t delete campaigns from Google Analytics, but you can update the tags you used in your original link. This will then start to flow through to your reports and traffic from the pervious tag will reduce and eventually stop being reported when people stop using your previous link.

    Great video! Thanks. Do you have an updated version for 2020?

      Campaign tracking is still the same in Google Analytics. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like me to cover.

    I would to ask: for what to use UTM if in Google Ads there are auto-tagging, which exclude any mistakes (that can be done while writing utm parameters). Or is it for purpose when advertiser use other sources like FB, Twitter and so on?

    Hi there 😊 Thanks for this video! I have a question though: I created a link using the URL Builder, copied it and included it in an email (sent from Outlook) which I sent to my personal email (Gmail account). In Gmail, I clicked the link and was successfully taken to the webpage, however, when I navigate to Acquisition->Campaigns, there are no campaigns shown in the report. Do you have any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?

    Question: How do I connect my google analytics account to this campaign url builder?

    Thanks for sharing, very helpful. However, do I need a URL shortener for link generated from the URL builder? or how do I use the link?

    Awesome work!! One question, do you set up campaign URL in google analytics, or in CMS? Thanks!

      Hi Oscar, you create campaign tagged URLs outside of Google Analytics. They should be used for all of your custom inbound marketing campaigns. You can actually just construct them manually by adding the parameters to the end of your URLs, but you can also use Google's tool over here... ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/campaign-url-builder/ and you might also find my post over here useful too... www.lovesdata.com/blog/2016/google-analytics-utm-campaign-tags

    Once you create a custom url, how does google analytics know to track them?

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Google Analytics tracking code that you've installed on your website will recognize the UTM parameters.

    Question, how do you combine/merge campaigns once created. I created a campaign called a_b and another called A B. Which is the same thing. Can I move a_b to A B?

      You can do this using search and replace filter

    I understand the tool (ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/campaign-url-builder/) but how do I create a new campaign in Google analytics? I created the link, pasted it into a wordpress blog post. But nothing shows up in the backend of analytics, it lets me add a segment with 10 000 options...do I need to add a segment first before using the tool?

    Hello Benjamin, I set up links using the Google Campaign URL Builder. However, how does Google Analytics/ACQUISITION/Campaigns track the campaign?
    I'm in my campaign area and there is no tracking results. How do I connect the two: the link and the campaign in analytics?

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, that does sound strange Samuel! So if you're using the campaign tags for inbound links to your website they will automatically show up in the Acquisition reports. If they're not, then the first thing to do would be to check that your tracking code is on the landing page that you've used in the Campaign URL Builder.

    • @SamuelLittleMarketing
      @SamuelLittleMarketing 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the tracking code is on all pages.

      I'll need to review this. Thanks for responding.

    • @LovesData
      @LovesData  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd also recomend checking that there aren't any redirects stripping the parameters from the URL as people land on your website.

      OK, Thanks. Getting back to this soon.

    Tell me if I misunderstood. Google and the ad's is not helpful at times. Sales snd service is a not a skill of referring me vendors. I appreciate info. Understand it's not free. U have it better, with lower tax bracket. I have nothing to give but critical. Not personal. Blah, Blah, Blah. I would not choose a career not creative is a bad fit. This puts me to sleep. ???
